GunBlue, as unfortunate as this is, it is nice to know that your channel is now big enough to attract these scammers. They tend to only target channels with a large following. GunBlue490 - Good wood stove, good dog and very good timing! A few hours ago, I got those numbers with the circles around them supposedly from a man that does WW2 History videos. It even had his face/photo on the left side and a promise of a "gift" if I texted the number. I had left a comment, but the real video maker guy had NOT "liked" my post,,,,,, yet I was supposed to believe he wanted to give me a "gift". 🙃 🤪 I'm not Sherlock Holmes nor a rocket scientist but that message did NOT pass "The Smell Test". Same thing happened last week in the comments section of a different "gun guy" channel on You Tube. Left a comment (and other folks did also) and I got the text / call me numbers. No thanks. Don't need a 19/20-year-old foreign "wife" or whatever they are selling.
I just got a Brittany on Saturday, he is 6 months old and came from quail farm. Already points and hunts well. I am having some trouble getting him to mind in the house. He tends to be very hyperactive, chews anything in sight and poops and pees in the house. He does take readily to a crate. My question is how did you get Benny to calm down, seems Benny is very docile and well mannered. BTW, I named my Benny in respect for your Benny. Cheers! Chris
Benny and I are humbled and honored! Let's see, the age of 4-6 months for pups can be like the terrible twos in children. Brits are all very active, and require lots of burn time, and our Benny is no different. What you see of his calm side is simply that he loves to hang out and sit by me at certain times of the day, as much as he enjoys romping. What your Benny is doing is not unusual, and is magnified with dogs of such energy, but his problem nature is his decision to exercise dominance over you, rather than the other way around. It's a pack behavior matter. Understanding pack behavior is the key to having a highly obedient dog, but you must get things under control soon. Above all, never forget that Brits have a very sensitive nature that heavy handedness and yelling can forever turn a happy tail wagging dog into an unmanageable, forlorn, sad, and even angry dog. These beautiful dogs can't be handled like a Chesapeake Bay Retriever or a Rottweiler. The good news is that they love to be appreciated and will do anything to make you happy. Right now, he's the leader of the pack and he's doing what makes him happy. I highly recommend that you get the book "How to be your dog's best friend" by The Monks of New Skete. They are the best, and they've become a classic go-to in dog behavior. Some important tips to start... Dogs are pack animals and packs have ONE leader. Understanding how pack leaders lead is most vital. Unfortunately, most people do exactly the things that signal that there is no leader, so the dog steps up to take the vacant job, which is what's going on now. Some of these things I'll describe are brutally difficult, but I assure you that they must be done to the letter. Most especially, everyone in the house must do likewise, or Benny will determine that they need a leader when you're not around. In the correct order of dogdom, the adult male of the house is Alpha One, the lady of the house is Alpha Two, and the children must be Alpha Threes. He'll be very happy to know that he only needs to take over when he's guarding your home when you're away. 1. Crate Benny at night at a specific time in a different room than where you spend your evenings. Your bedroom is the best place, because pack animals sleep with their leader. Yes, Benny can tell time! Crates resemble dens, so are a natural environment where dogs feel safe. 2. At mealtime, keep him leashed to your chair on a 6 foot lead. Don't give in to his complaining, but make him lie down by your side. Pack dogs never eat while the leader is eating. He'll soon learn that his leader is eating. Do NOT feed him people food snacks. Ever. 3. For one month, set your alarm to 3am. Leash him at the crate door and lead him immediately outside. Benny "piddles" and "does duties" virtually on command, because he was conditioned by those words during that vital training period. Whatever he's doing, repeat those words and praise him excitedly! 4. He's chewing because it's his domain, not yours, plus he's teething. That should quickly subside as he takes his place in the pack. 5. Never allow Benny to go through a door or stairs before you, either in or out. Have him stay and wait until you pass through, then give him the OK. Praise him, "Good Boy!!!" The leader of the pack ALWAYS is first. 6. Vocal tones are very meaningful. High childish voices are like dogs use to greet each other. Always praise in high notes like you're talking to a baby. Low tones are as dogs growl to one another. 7. Dogs unfortunately get killed by cars. Install an electronic fence. Never ever allow Benny to get out of a car until to permit him. Assign him one door only to get in and out, usually the rear passenger side. 8. Six months is the time to bring him to obedience training. He's developed enough to respond to training. I've had dogs all my life, but my wife and I sought out a good instructor, just as any experienced athletes need coaches to critique what one might not see. Typically, the dog and both masters attend once a week for six weeks. The Brittany is one of the most intelligent dogs in the world, and one of the most willing to please, so for your Benny and the years to come, please take advantage of it. For reasons unknown, many pointing dogs respond better to "Here" than to "Come", and our Benny always did. It also carries better out doors. Your instructor will likely know nothing about pointers, but learn how to teach him the "Whoa" command. It's the order to halt in place (on a bird), which will be a very useful thing, even if you don't hunt. "Stay" is used when sitting or lying down. Lastly, Benny was likely kenneled where house breaking wasn't an issue. You'll need to do over. But get that book. God bless and happy hunting!
@@GunBlue490 thank you gun blue, Wished I could send you a picture of Benny here. I’ve made note of your suggestions, and will follow up with a local trainer. We have many quail plantations here, and Benny was gun trained from the beginning. Certainly understand why you love your’e Benny so. They are very loving. I hope TH-cam is doing something about this problem.
This has been hitting many channels. You would think TH-cam could stop this nonsense
They’re all over TH-cam
Thank you Sir 🫡
He’s sitting by me now, and actually behaving, but he does get these incredible spurts of energy where he darts all over the house. Thanks again so much! God bless you and yours. Great Show, how is your weather up there? we are still in the 70s. down in Tx.
It's going down to the 40s and occasional low 30s at night, but is still warming up to the 50s and high 60s during the day, with an occasional 70 something. This is my favorite time of year, but we know what's soon coming!
Thanks for letting us know. I had some try it on me on other channels and one said they have some things for me to go on telegram. I reply on the comments section and said I do not have telegram. No reply back . Beside like was stated in the video. I had that happen also but did not reply thinking it was a scam
I've been getting these for months on many many channels.
Mr. GunBlue-
Sorry to hear about the scams. Being a Ruger Mini 14 guy like yourself I have a problem that maybe You or Benny can help me with. A series 183 mini with no rear sights. Maybe you might know where I can find the parts. Ruger doesn’t have them anymore and can’t help. Thank you for your podcasts. I just found you a few weeks ago and I’m trying to see them all. Great information and knowledge on your part. Thank goodness for you.
No worries, but thanks buddy, and Bennie. We know who they are. I never respond to anything like that in the comments and I hope no one would. I report them everytime I see that kind of thing. TH-cam should get rid of them. Not sure why they don't. The technology and intelligence exists to beat these spammers and scammers and bots before they even post or even before they are registered. Love your dog and you sir are a respectable and honest man.
Is that a dedicated humidifier on the stove-top? Could have used one of those for the ski house.
Yes, it is. It goes through two fills daily.
Great soapstone stove! I have the same Woodstock Fireview stove. I also have the same left sided andiron that has broken from trying to overfill the stove.
It’s cool. Not many of us are going to fall for scams. Good the see Bennie well.
Thank you for this. I have gotten the replies you describe on several different channels. I would have bitten, except that I don't have a cellphone or even a telephone or a telegram account. You are the first clue I have had that this is a scam. I bit on one of the fake websites selling primers and powder when they were impossible to get. The big clue is that they don't accept credit cards, but want transfers via zelle. It would be very helpful if you did more on scams.
Your recent video on not oiling guns also was very helpful.
Thank you!!! I am sorry that these idiots do this to you. Benny is the best!!!!!
Benny! 😀😍🤸🏼♀️
❤❤❤
II have just started to view this mans series. Great advice and all be well.
Thanks for your warning, unfortunately that's the way the coockie crumbles these days. Thanks again for your interesting videos.
A very sad predicament. But just look at these two! ❤️

Man, that’s a good looking dog. Bennie was my Dads name too.
Thank you. May God bless your Dad.
These are everywhere and have been for a while....how do people still fall for these scams. It is not 2008.
Aww ..I thought I'd genuinely won a prize. Was hoping for gun oil rag or boiled linseed oil or the like. Ah well , guess I'll have to buy my own. As always keep up the good work.
Always a happy time to see Benny and any new videos.
New generation that does not know what hard work is -- scammers need to learn how to use a shovel.
Love to see Benny
They’re coming from everywhere now.
Great shows my friend
Thank you 🙏
