in the Ashanti region Npp officials owns the galamsey sites (concessions). No stranger can enter there to do galamsey. Ibrahim Mahama even tried to open a legal bauxite mines there which the npp people in the region protested against.

They even took the concession that Ibrahim won from him, confiscated his equipment and branded him a thief simply because he is John Mahama's half brother. They then gave the concession to foreigners- the Chinese who make and send it back to their country. That's the foolishness of NPP.
