Well Yagura survived Amaterasu which incinerates whatever it's target is so... it's not absurd to say the tailed beasts would survive nukes especially in their full states.

I just realized that the reason Rin jumped in front of Kakashi was because the bijuu is already set to break out when they arrive in Konoha and she will die then anyways, so she tries to kill herself but she doesn't have any technique that can overcome the jinchuuriki healing factor. But Chidori is a powerful technique that is. (Naruto would have died if Sasuke hadn't 'missed').
