Im planning to try Mountain Biking as a hobby. Im currently living in New Zealand and its a shame I wont be spending a lot of time outdoors so might as well try new things, Im currently studying here in Christchurch. Its been almost a year since we moved countries still getting used to it. Do bikers need a license to be able to ride one of these trails? Setting races aside, I just want to ride and have fun. One of these trails are actually close from where I live, visited that tower before and I noticed bike trails just below the road, looked empty though, I also wanted to ask if I need to pay to ride these trails.
No license necessary. This park charges for the use of the chairlift but all the trails are free to ride. Get out there friend!
How come you were on your normal bike for this and not for the race? Two different bikes for the trip?

Great trail name theme on the first two (Choir Boy, Flying Nun) but then it kinda falls apart. Kama Sutra doesn't really work.
How about: Absolution, Benediction, Confessional, Excommunication, Hail Mary, Inquisition, Limbo, Pedophile Priest, Purgatory...

The Flying Nun is a very old and popular track that existed decades before the adventure park. I don't think the lower part (what is now choir boy) actually had a name before, I'd guess the park decided to follow the theme for it since the the Nun flows straight into it. The rest of the (new) tracks in the park have much more uhhhh, 'hip' names. Except lava flow, which is actually the next valley over outside the park and another old favourite.

4K at 60fps is possible these days, you know...
I'm not making infomercials. I prefer 30.
The more frames per second the better. It's as simple as that. *Especially* for fast-motion videos like these. Hopefully you'll some day "see the light", as the saying goes.
On a related note, I can't wait for the day when TH-cam introduces the 120fps format. My brain, my eyes and my 144Hz monitor will love it.
If I was using slow motion, I would agree that a higher frame rate would be useful but I definitely prefer a bit of motion blur. The gimbal lets the camera shoot really clean and normal POV rules don't really apply. Thanks for the input.
