Lol i said the same thing, just tried to find the comment to delete it but its dissappeared. Things like this with comments happens all the time! Does anyone else have weird things go on with comments?
7:30 you also have all sets here too right? He has A8ss raising the flop, i think thats maybe only NFD combo that they raise, especially as they had ATo lmao
Hello there. One for the algo and one question: K8 - don’t you just wanna jam flop? Think it’s so vulnerable to just call and then close our eyes and call every turn. Loved the vid as always ❤
yeah shoving could well be the best option mate. for sure i'd shove a 5 otf as it's a LOT more vulnerable. but also if we suspect villain is potting range (which we prob can given their hand choice) then we could argue that calling the 8 is inf better? hard to know ofc!
Hey Bena, would love to see you just put the money in OTF in the 1st hand. Yes, he'll fold some 0 equity bluffs (on this board vs your hand, villian has one of the only 0 equity bluffs he'll show up with OTF) , but your hand is very vulnerable to a lot of turn cards - including just a single 9. He'll call worse still (T9, JT, T9, J8, T8, 98, 67, etc...) and fold some 25% equity draws like KJ/KT/K9 etc.
Wanted to ask about 14:30 and "being 30bb deep" Can you explain the effect of the straddle being optional vs mandatory (i.e other players won't incurr the loss of paying the straddle if they choose not to, so can still play tight therefore we have to play tighter etc) Curious to hear your take on this, as I often don't know to what extent I should treat my stack depth differently a straddled pot, in a game where many others won't straddle, if that makes sense?
hey mate. so it's often -ev to straddle if you're the only one doing it. but we need to factor a bunch of other things; are we better than the regs at varying stack depths (i am not fwiw, but that's just a consideration) and/or do we gain ev from weaker players at the table by decreasing stack depth/being in position on said weaker players. to your last point, you should acknowledge your 'new' stack depth, however many play way too tight so you also need hold that in mind. generally if no one else is straddling you also definitely don't wanna do it. fwiw, as you can see in my hand, on gg you're allowed to straddle the button. so my intention here was (due to us being 2k eff) to make us 100bb eff. i feel i can do this because of how weak my opponent was. i was not anticipating that they were gunna restraddle twice though lol.
thank you! vs certain players (VIP's) when their loss rate is so incredibly high, i don't want to give as much of a chance for them to split because they will very likely lose the rest to another player at the table I have a lot of rb on gg and a lot of bbj winnings too. overall on gg i am exactly even lol
i think it's a bold move for sure, and clearly they give no fucks about the poker community at large. they want to turn poker into a casino game and this makes me very sad. but understandably they're a business and consumers are still choosing to us the site. it effects me in that better players are moving down to play in my games, but the biggest concern is that often with big changes at the top of the game, they will invariable trickle down and become a precedent for ALL games at some stage. who knows what that looks like in reality, but it certainly is a bleak time, and also a FANTASTIC opportunity for coinpoker and ACR to step up. hence why i'm pushing coin in this video!
@@BenaBadBeatPoker for some reason i cant see my reply , youtube bugg or u deleted it but as i said, most fish dont want to play with crypto, so they play on GG
@@Verycoolguy1337 yeah i see what you're saying but what i mean is that the vast majority of players are accessing GG via natural8 which is purely a crypto site!
The hand with K8s... Given your assumptions, why not raise flop for value (he would call any 8 or 5) and for protection? I would prefer to call with something like KQ/AQ or KK+, but would shove 99/1010 K8s A8s...
yeah definitely a totally reasonable option and I think if I had a 5 I would do exactly that. I can also see shoving my hand being quite a bit better than calling too
it's completely shambolic imo but i naturally see things from the perspective of a reg! i just really hope that sites like ACR and coinpoker step up and give players better options!

@@BenaBadBeatPoker sheesh! perhaps you are not one of the "chosen" that the algorithm favors(that's my theory that there's some kind of algorithm that favors certain players over other players and other plays over those players and so on and so forth, leaving some players at the very top and some at the very bottom in terms of "luck" -- and also geared towards fish getting lucky against a large portion of players to keep them around) or perhaps you are just playing in difficult games and facing the variance, but either way you are a pro and i know you will be able to recoup that 30k and so much more. thanks for commenting on my message :) and Good Luck to you.
Thanks for the video, last hand is hilarious. Are you confident this losing streak is just variance? Do you seat on so much money you don't really care anyway? I'm asking since I assume poker is (supposed to be) your main souce of income (I might be completely wrong) and I imagine myself going to the office and every month my employer *takes* money from my saving account, so I would like to know how you approach that.
hey mate, yes poker has been my only source of income for many years! and yes i do believe that this is just variance. but i agree, from an outsiders perspective it seems pretty wild to lose day in day out and continue coming back lol. but you also do need to consider rakeback and other bonuses; while the year is going pretty poorly by my standards, i'm still in profit for the year (somewhere in the region of 60k).
11:47 why would you bluff raise hands like AT on the flop? Am i missing something? Surely you dont call ATo pre OOP to 4 bet, so its only 2 combo but the Th hits turn so you couldn't have raised Pair plus NFD. Sorry for so many comments Ben, but i always ask you stuff, and they are always QUESTIONS and not STATEMENTS, you are the best poker TH-camr for top quality content, i dont know if you remember my name, but i been sayjng that to you since your first video and i knew you woukd QUICKLY take off ! Anyway sorry again for so many comments and this Novel! As always i wish yoh thebest in life and the best of variance at the tables, virtual or otherwise! WTG mate, from one english man to another!
hey mate! ty for kind words. well in 4bb’s cus ranges are very narrow, bluffs have to become a little more ‘creative’ let’s just say. so bluffing ATs and JTs become very attractive because they block the shoves from ip and we also don’t mind folding out equity. there are other reasons too but these are the more simple reasons!
Very aggressive dynamics at this tables. Sometimes watching it might be hurtful when u expect such plays at micros for some reason. That is sometimes a trappy thinking. Unless proven otherwise by observation better assume your opponents dont have 3bet bluffs and multiple barrels with air.
