well you showed how to not do it and proved that don't matter how bad you screw up things can turn out OK.
just take it one comb at a time and everything will work out.

I've been WATCHING bee removal and relocations on you tube for many many years, I AM NOT A BEE KEEPER, so please don't take this as criticism or telling you how to do it or anything of the sort. I'm curious of your approach,(one of my favorites on TH-cam is 628Dirtrooster) and when he does cut outs like this he slowly cuts the sections of comb rubber banding the brood into frames and putting the honey comb into a clean food grade bucket. It just seems cleaner and more organized. Now i realize you have lots of experience and you are very successful as far as i can tell, I'm just curious as to why you do it the way you do. Thank you for sharing, I've commented many times how much I enjoy you and your channel and again please don't take this as a negative comment rather an inquisitive one.

WOW. Y'all in the outback do things alot different than we do in the states. 😆. I would never have thought about just bagging and cutting off the wax. I would be too afraid i would squash my queen and most of my workers. I would simply have brought a 5 frame nuc box and cut them out one frame at a time. That way there's less drowning bees in that honey.

    G'Day you two!
I suspect that I may have puzzled out why the girls seem to be stinging you so much. I believe they simply see you as a great danger to their hive. Disregarding the coloration of your suit, you do seem to have most of the recognizable traits of a Great Drop Bear. True it is that the fearsome growls and long sharp teeth seem to be missing - however - ......................
Great work you two have put into these episodes - I thoroughly enjoy the occasional Aussie-ism like ute, esky and such (i have spent some time in your beautiful country a few years ago).
Keep up the wondrous work - I'm going through your adventures one after another.

I had an idea to have 10 prongs a foot long all 3 inches apart on a handle all parralell in a square configuration.
And just stab slowly right into tge combs thrpugh all of them from the side and simply whilst holding the handle steadily slice all comb at once from where they are hanging.
The prongs would do a great job to hold up the comb in exactly the same configuration as it is hanging then with the prong tool held onto a bench hanging off to the side you could simply sit on a chair in front and take off combs at will or even fix to frames as they hang and trim to fit as well.
I couldnt see any damage to combs this way apart from a few tiny holes in each comb.
Let me know what you think.
I have seen so many videos of messy situations and this would be easy

Its hot, uncomfortable and messy doing a cut-out. Imagine doing ones under caravans. It was easier to try this ridiculous 'plan'. The back, sides and top were full of honey in the cupboard.
Fair do's for posting this but other than proving theres no short cuts to cut outs...
Saying I didnt expect there to be honey is just annoying, mate. Have you ever cut down an entire hive in one go and it not be a shitshow? I don't doubt its hard work doing cut outs but this is worse than previous shitshows because you know better ffs...
