    It is good to remember that the problem of the Acropolis is not the lack of color. For those who don't know, the current state of the site is not characterised by decay from time or smog. In fact the Parthenon has shown immunity to earthquakes, a fact that is still under investigation. How did it end up like this? Bombardment. By the "civilized" Venetians, when Turks fortified on that hill. Maybe the Turks did not expect anyone would point a canon to that marvel. Or they were equally civilized to the Venetians. Whatever the case, eternal shame to those who deliberately destroyed a beauty that nature couldn't destroy in two millennia. An incomparable fruit of science and technology. The beauty and the two beasts...

    Anastasia Read carefully as I stated "If it were in America..." I was noting the differennce(s) in how Americans do things overwhelmingly motivated by money/greed as we have so many RICH people who are bored with all that money sitting around begging them to "play" with it and make some MORE!!

    Greece should initiate a donation drive to literally restore the whole site to pristine original condition, then use the admission fees to get themselves solvent again.

      No archaeologist in Greece would accept something like this though :)

      Diche Bach You miss the point of "ancient" here.

      This is old dispute, archeology believes sites shall remain like this. Therefore, 3D is the best solution to combine tourist interests with scientific. 3D is perfect solution, I wonder why not every historical site have it

      Diche Bach I think a larger scale reconstruction should occur too.

    Anatasia the restoration would put Athens on the "must visit" list for tourists and the country NEEDS the money badly otherwise Great Britian would NOT have left the EU. Money makes the world go round Greece get some of it!!!!

    If it were in America and a buck could be made by restoring it for commercial purposes, rich folks would be dropping the bucks to restore it instead of wasting money on another strip mall. They aren't as sentimental as others about preserving "history" and politicians are not when laws have to be written to help their rich donors get the opportunity to proceed. It would make a fortune and who wouldn't want to see this MARVEL of architecture...???

      What do you mean ? To build the Parthenon again ? What's the point ? No one Greek would like that. It woul'd be "ancient" then. It would be just a new building look like the ancient Parthenon........

    I'm traveled the Acropolis through Assassins Creed Odyssey

    • @moptil-mobileopticalillusi3345
      @moptil-mobileopticalillusi3345  4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Hello, Assassins Creed is scientific fiction and has absolutely no historical or archaeological value. Although the graphics are super, the whole reconstruction is a fantasy 😊. In the contrary our Reconstruction has very good accuracy as was supervised by archaeologists that have dedicated their lives in Acropolis

      Hello Akis, what matters is the immersive experience that no one else can give it to you. People do not walk and see the tablet but stop at certain points. More than 300.000 people have used the service with excellent feedback. We invite you to try it and then give us your feedback....

    Are someone else tired of people coming from all around the world, to view each country in Europé as a Museum. I know that kina and Japan, for exampel, have the same problem.
