@PrisonCipher - I understand your complaints Prison but you do realize that this short was based on Ryu's Street Fighter Alpha look? Before Ryu went to the 1st World Warrior Tournament he always wore a white headband when he was still training at the dojo. Ken hadn't given him the red headband yet in that part of the storyline. As a Street Fighter fan, you should know this ;)
Damn it, Hollywood! That's two, count 'em TWO, short fan films that managed to do in minutes what you could get done with two whole feature films! My hat's off to you gentlemen!
It's been over a year since I've seen this, and it's still just as dope as it was 365 days ago. If this can be done on a budget of 400$ , I see no reason as to why Hollywood can't give us something half as good. Great job on this.
what separates thousand pounds and other action film creators including big time movie studios is that they mastered the art of camera angles, close ups, and choreography.
I think what makes this so much better than hollywood are the angle shot changes. I feel like hollywood mostly does 1 shot with the occasional angle change. This short literally does an angle shot change like every 2 second.
Great project! Everything about it was great. The huge work behind the audio/sounds/music is too often forgotten, and here it is what struck me most. Perfectly fitting sfx, I loved the ringing in Ryu's ear after that high kick by Ken. I also made a sf fan movie myself but with a different focus (and less professional^^), check if you like.
Best SF Fan Film ever ... it is so the universe of SF, rivality, friendship and willpower of Ryu n Ken ... Keep going on team u're doing more than greaat, wish ya success !!!
Very Awesome! I like how the two actors who played Ryu and Ken look like them as they looked in Street Fighter and Street Fighter Alpha. Great costumes too, and the fight choreography is amazing! I trained in Kenpo Karate for ten years and I only wish I move like these two guys. Great Work guys. I hope you keep making videos.
SWEET! As an SF enthusiast.. i have been following this legacy since like 1985 or so, back when the first original Street Fighter was in the arcades. I Love how you even remembered the details of how in the first one that they used the strap on gloves..this is a very tiny detail however it proves that your not just some johnny come lately who got on the SF bandwagon just cuz SF made such an impact. Kudos to you, and how you used ken's persona as the berzerker rage style, and ryu with patience.
im gonna just say it thousand pound action, thank you for taking with end product we can tell you guys care about what your doing and making alot better then any capcom movie i have seen and the epic fail of dragonball so thank you
Nice job. In your comment about the movie... you hit it on the nose about the two main characters. I grew up on Street Fighter when it first came out. I got into big when I was in around eighth grade with the alpha series came out. That's all we did... along with Mortal Combat. Needless to say, you all did a hell of a job. A+
You are the right person for movies like this. You understand the concepts and the story behind characters and they story itself. I hope you go far and achieve your goals! AMAZING work.
ça fait plaisir de voir des fan made film comme ça, on voi clairement l'effort et le talent !! Congratulations guys, you're realy awesome! Keep going!!
I don't think I need to add more comments, but you guys have blown me away with inspiration. The fight scenes and cinematography in this short is just a_w _s _o _m _e _ Nice work!!!
That shows how Ryu is the wiser and a better fight, Ken knew he'd be screwed if that hit was landed lol. Great video that wheel roll on the floor at 3:00 is really sick.
@tdipower00 - Hey thanks man! Yeah Ryu wasn't putting his head band back on. He was only tightening it like he does before matches in some of the past SF games (Alpha 3 for example). Thanks everyone else for all the positive responses though! We really appreciate it!
@MegaBoshi - We wanted to set the base story pre-tournament but give nods to many of the Street Fighter games while doing so (including games that feature SF characters like the MvC series). We just wanted to have fun and play around with the moves :)
Bravo! I loved the choreography and the special moves of both characters were shown exactly how I imagined they would IRL. Also, much props to Ken using the real "Tornado Kick". Keep it up!
Hahaha I love seeing people bring my favorite video games to life in fan made films. Especially when it comes out as awesome as this. Thanks for putting in great time and effort in making this epic video!
Street Fighter: Legacy = Actors pulled the look off and the costumes were refreshing the special effects were good and it had an overall trailer or movie feel. Street Fighter: Beginnings End = Good choreography, great idea making it seem almost like a live action version of the Arcade. Overall great for a 400 dollar budget film not to mention the first live action film that the team had done.
Round #3 Prue epicness.. these guys are amazing, i dont like street fighter too much but i no move, and the basics.. this clip is gold, somebody pay these guys.. smh..
Men this is tha best.. Tho aka no Ryu face is a bit soft but the shoryu ken n shinkuu hadou ken win me over big time.. Thanks for breathing life into my childhood street fighter dream that was broken by van damme SF.. Ur ma hero dude, should make a movie, greetings n support from malaysia
after finding this channel thru your appearance on corridor crew, I now realize you're the same guy I saw a decade ago when youtube was young who made this masterpiece... how you don't have 10m subscribers by now is a mystery. you only put out S tier stuff
I'm....I'm more than just impressed, this should be what Holliwood should be doing on a regular since we pretty much pay them for the drivel they throw out to the fans. Thanks for the awesome you guys ^^
is far from street fighter to overcome the legacy, but the effects are the hours. Good attitude demonstrates that it is capable of being made into a movie worthy of the game that inspires even the richest tournaments in the world's mma.
we have been face a lot of dissapointment with fail movie like street fighter, dragonball, king of fighter...etc...good job guys..keep it up..we all support you...
You guys and Joeys team should get together and do a full film. Street fighter legacy was badass too, my hats off to you both.. Hollywood needs to take notes
While the actors didn't much look the part, they did make an awesome performance. The special effects and coreography were also expertly done and extremely faithful to the source material (though the Shinku Hadouken looked really cheap). I especially love how it ended with Ryu's Shin Shouryuken, but he stopped just before landing it (which was AWESOME). I wish the big budget guys did this kind of stuff; it would give video game movies a great name. Keep it up.
brilliant. Seriously. Amazing editing, special effects and character choreography. You did such a great job. Shame on those who didnt like it. I know Ken had a dodgy wig, but come on, quality is quality, and this was epic. Great job.
amazing editing, great use of film and great cameramen, bravo it is exceptional, nothing is overplayed even the hadokens fit well (great use of sony vegas/ after effects) once again superb job guys!
Totally awesome i do agree you all on giving them the chance to do so and if thousand pound could or would let me i want to play either e honda or blanka
As a Street Fighter fan, you should know this ;)
Snap.. Schooled 😂
I was interesting this!
When i was in junior high school, I used to do it in Japan...
❤
13 years later, the wig is still funny, and the fight is still FUCKING AMAZING.
Thank you for doing this. :)
Damn it, Hollywood! That's two, count 'em TWO, short fan films that managed to do in minutes what you could get done with two whole feature films!
My hat's off to you gentlemen!
Ark Lyte assuming a view is worth two cents riven has over over $20,000 on this video,
not counting monetization cause i use adblock,
This is the first time I see Ryu's Fire Hadoken adapted in Live Action, this is the best Coreography ever!
pfft, this video alone is better than any live action Street fighter films made by Hollywood
It's been over a year since I've seen this, and it's still just as dope as it was 365 days ago. If this can be done on a budget of 400$ , I see no reason as to why Hollywood can't give us something half as good. Great job on this.
Nice touches. Ken's rolling throw was great to see but his wig.....
Year from 2023 I never seen this one watching this now.......
what separates thousand pounds and other action film creators including big time movie studios is that they mastered the art of camera angles, close ups, and choreography.
These guys have captured the essence of Street Fighter that the fans have always wanted...Pure Game-Like ACTION!!!
Thx for making this.
Amazing! The nostalgia is strong in this one!
I keep forgetting 10 years ago was just 2010 and not the 90’s I was about to say it was incredible effects for it being in the 90’s
I think what makes this so much better than hollywood are the angle shot changes. I feel like hollywood mostly does 1 shot with the occasional angle change. This short literally does an angle shot change like every 2 second.
this was the 1st time i watch something and the yells from the special moves felt real not all fake........kind of gave me chills lol niceeeeeeeeee
Wow...to think that it was two years ago when they did this.
And then we see the SF x Tekken Fan Film.
Mind's blown. That is all.
when he was about to hit Ken with the Shoryuken i was like "OH SHIT THAT'S GOING TO HURT!" lol
Nah fam, SHIN-SHORYUKEN
that wig! xD
This made me applause you guys deserve an award for this. And loving how Ryu STOPPED that Metsu Shoryuken.
This 4 minutes was amazingly better than anything Hollywood has ever done regarding this franchise. Truth.
Not as good as Legacy but very cool guys. I'm impressed
i hv to disagree.. legacy is good in graphics. but the moves are better in this vid!
yo yoyo Yes man, I agree with you. This production was the only one that I look can make most Action to the Anime Real Life Moves. I'm Amazed.
Big ups for my man Brendon Huor displaying his amazing Martial Arts skills. I really enjoyed watching this short fan film.
Best SF Fan Film ever ... it is so the universe of SF, rivality, friendship and willpower of Ryu n Ken ... Keep going on team u're doing more than greaat, wish ya success !!!
Still holds up after all these years. Win em all for us Chris!
I love it, and I like how the fight scene end, in the end, it's not the ego, it's just a training, and stop where it should be.

Yea this is a great Video, Hats off to all who were a part of this. Hope you guys make more.
This short as well as the Ansatsuken series is amazing.
You are the right person for movies like this.
You understand the concepts and the story behind characters and they story itself. I hope you go far and achieve your goals! AMAZING work.
this was amazing, the amount of attention to detail. wow
the moves were true to the actual game, well done
That's just badass. Exactly how I would picture a spar between those guys would be.
Imagine if these guys had a full budget. I would pay to see these guys in the movies. Whose with me?
i love watchin ryu and ken fights :) they are so much alike but yet so different
This is how it should be in the movies!! You guys are great!!
ça fait plaisir de voir des fan made film comme ça, on voi clairement l'effort et le talent !!
Congratulations guys, you're realy awesome!
Keep going!!
I don't think I need to add more comments, but you guys have blown me away with inspiration.
The fight scenes and cinematography in this short is just a_w _s _o _m _e _
Nice work!!!
someone should hire this director to make the next Street Fighter movie. This was pretty good.
that's awesome you guys used shaun. tell him anthony alba says hi.
$400 in the hands of truly talented people == this video. amazing job.
That shows how Ryu is the wiser and a better fight, Ken knew he'd be screwed if that hit was landed lol. Great video that wheel roll on the floor at 3:00 is really sick.
i cant see how someone in their right mind could dislike this video. Its badass
O_O Whoa! That...was...AWESOME!! This is WAY better than the Street Fighter movies!
great job. one thing i did notice was that Ryu already had his head band on. Then he put it on again. Aside from that. everything else superb job.
Major props for the beam shinku hadoken!
i dont understand why this doesnt have over 1 million views
I can watch this video a thousand times and love it every time. I look forward to your next vid.
WOOOWWW
One of the Best !!!!!!!
I really liked the Video!
You have to do more of these!
I love that little nod to the MvC series at the end of the fight.
@tdipower00 - Hey thanks man! Yeah Ryu wasn't putting his head band back on. He was only tightening it like he does before matches in some of the past SF games (Alpha 3 for example).
Thanks everyone else for all the positive responses though! We really appreciate it!
amazing guys. excellent choreography, cgi & editing. Much (!!!) better than lots of so called "high budged professional action movies".
I love how this AND legacy both have the obligatory slo-mo shot of Ryu tightening the headband.
@MegaBoshi - We wanted to set the base story pre-tournament but give nods to many of the Street Fighter games while doing so (including games that feature SF characters like the MvC series). We just wanted to have fun and play around with the moves :)
Nearly at 1M views! The recent Kotaku bump might just put it over. This video still makes me giddy, keep up the great work!
Thanks for putting in great time and effort in making this epic video!
when ken turns angry, no one can stops him! whatever, this video is EPIC!
Street Fighter: Legacy = Actors pulled the look off and the costumes were refreshing the special effects were good and it had an overall trailer or movie feel.
Street Fighter: Beginnings End = Good choreography, great idea making it seem almost like a live action version of the Arcade. Overall great for a 400 dollar budget film not to mention the first live action film that the team had done.
how could anyone dislike that epic video.
absolute phenomenon of a work! You gotta turn this into a full blown live film. Cant wait to see sagat and ryu and also bison and akuma etc!
these guys make movies greater than those in hollywood
watching this video, it feels me like i want to learn martial arts.. guys! you're so awesome!
Round #3 Prue epicness.. these guys are amazing, i dont like street fighter too much but i no move, and the basics.. this clip is gold, somebody pay these guys.. smh..

cette vidéo est meilleur que le film officiel.
we want more.
best vidéo, i love it, continue 10/10
This was really good. Love how fast action it was and the special effects did it justice. I could really feel the passion and the memories in it.
Best Street Fighter Clip Ever!!
after finding this channel thru your appearance on corridor crew, I now realize you're the same guy I saw a decade ago when youtube was young who made this masterpiece...

That was so good. This needs to be a TH-cam series. I want to know what happens next
Becoz he lost to ryu.. Ken cuts his hair n become naruto
is far from street fighter to overcome the legacy, but the effects are the hours.

Beautiful
This has inspired me to make my own Street Fighter fan film.
That was awesome! Great work, guys!

that reverse throw by ken 2 seal the 2nd round was gold. exactly like how it looks like in sf
brilliant. Seriously. Amazing editing, special effects and character choreography. You did such a great job. Shame on those who didnt like it. I know Ken had a dodgy wig, but come on, quality is quality, and this was epic.
Great job.
