@@longevitywelding Thx for the reply! I am a new hobby welder, so forgive me if i am wrong but in some motions it looks like you cross over a weld, does that not make it so you weld over your slag with stick welding??

@@TotalWarChronicles You definitely do not want to weld over slag. Keep in mind you are going for penetration of the weld and it takes time to settle.

@@longevitywelding Good to know!! I always thought you'd never want to go back over a weld you made with stick welding, but if you are quick enough you can go back over it without cause slag to settle between your welds?

so corner joint need filler metal other than the electrode to fill the gap?? otherwise it will take much electrode. plus edge and but are alike?

Im having difficulty with T joint, when the welding rod come close at the joint, the arc strike to one side leaving a ball of red hot metal there. Pls help. Im learning welding on my own
