@@paypaboymike8531 I had my F30 for 3 years (Disclaimer) I had the diesel, however, all the problems I had never related to the motor. Rear tail light shorted out, hood latch broke, e-brake somehow locked up and I’ve never used it, outside of those small easy to fix issues no trouble. Now, the down side to these cars are always the previous owners. These cars have 10-15k oil change intervals of which is determined by the computer depending on driving characteristics and any more than 7k is too much regardless, which is why turbos and bearings are always the first to go on these cars. But in the previous owners’ defense they usually switch out cars every 3 to 4 years so they stick to the manufactures suggestion maintenance intervals because it’s free for the first four years/48,000 miles and an oil change from BMW it’s like $250 so why would you pay out of your pocket when you’re just going to get rid of the vehicle for a new one in a few years. So conclusion you’ll have some gremlins that will be easily fixed from used parts off of eBay, the battery is expensive to replace and you have to have the computer coded or coded yourself once every four years, 7K max oil changes, it doesn’t matter what they say about the transmission flush or every 80 K miles and Enjoy the hell out of it.

I just added the power adapter mod for the radar in the rear view housing. Also, finally turned off the self-test…so much cleaner and quieter. Thanks for the tip, had no idea you could do that.
This car was a very smart move in terms of recapturing your initial audience 📈. Thank you for giving back to your OG F30 community 🙏. Your Supra was flawless, but I feel like not as many people followed that build because not as many can afford to buy similar parts, and therefore didn’t use those videos as guides. You’re 100% right when you talk about relatable content. Congrats
I have a 2018 440i and I actually loving this new project of yours as I I can sorta relate to it. After all the 4 series is essentially a 2 door 3 series. The B58 is definitely amazing! So smooth and the power delivery is incredible 👏
Super happy you got the 340i. I was tempted to pull the trig on a M2... but now I think I'm going to the f30. I have my Tacoma for a daily driver, but if I needed to get car seats in for the kids I could, and still do an awesome build.
I love how you keep saying "out here family sedan ing it" 😂. My wife has a daily and a "fun/weekend" car, her current fun car is Audi S3 (she chose the smaller more nimble car over S4, S5, RS5, A7, S7) , we do not need the space like we used to, our youngest is 16 , both my older girls drive their own cars. We went shopping recently (last week made the purchase) for a replacement "fun/weekend" car for my wife (to replace the S3). I gave her essentially the same budget as before (up to RS5 money). Out of everything we looked at, drove she ended up falling in love with new 22 Audi Q5 S-Line Black Optics Prestige (I bought it), of all the vehicles available to her she goes and chooses the "family" SUV when we do not even need that particular type of vehicle for a "family" anymore 😂. I am not complaining though, freaking super comfortable, luxury and tech, just surprised she went with a "family" SUV verses a sports car ect...... I just ordered a Remus cat-back system with a 200 cell catted downpipe. I'm going to run a Bootmod3 stage 2 ACN 91 octane tune. I live in NV and travel to Cali constantly so no 93 for this guy. I installed Dinan springs and bump stops and the height is perfect for my daily use. I scrape just barely entering and leaving my driveway with my Aeroplug Varis style carbon fiber front lip. For 245s you'll want a wheel that is at least 8.5" wide. For 265s (which I'm not familiar with) I'd say at least 9" wide. I run 19x8.5 square w/ 245s on my F30.
@@PaintedLycan thanks. Assuming the 245s were a mod, are there any undesirable compromises you’ve experienced? P.s. considering an xHP transmission tune. Do you have any experience with that? If so, would you recommend it.

Thanks for the content!
I have an M340i xdrive. I’ll probably install a radar detector as you showed in the video. 👍🏼 just been using the Waze app so far 😆.
Anyone know what size wheels and tires I can increase to?? Currently 8” wheels with only 225 width tires (225/40R19). I would like to increase to 245 to 265 width tires, if possible.
@@PaintedLycan nvrmd - I inquired about the transmission tune at a local shop, and it’s not even an option for my car.
@@Andrew-kr2qg No issues, handles a lot better too compared to the skinny 225s that come stock
Congrats on the car, Looking forward to the build, I am about to purchase a 340i or 440i, at least that's what i want. Looking for clarification, what year is the best one to purchase?, 3 or 4 series?. Looking forward to watching and catching up w/ your build for this awesome car.
Bro I been fucking with you since the first F30 and I’m glad to see you grow but remain humble. Really love your channel out of all my subscriptions I always watch yours.
It’s a relatable build for sure man. Keep her white for now. AWE exhaust or Supersprint catback are my picks I’d say. Stoked for this 🤙🏼
AWE exhaust for sure they sound good man. I got my F30 because of you, cant wait to see the build on this one. I'll be getting my custom badge when they are available.
Congratulations man glad to see you go back to the f30! I gotta 330i and im looking forward to seeing what you do to it.
cool that you are back in track with the f30!
Stock exhaust sounds awesome in 340. Don’t change it. Catless downpipe would be enough for sound & performance
Excited for this! I have the Remus axleback exhaust on mine. it's not too obnoxious but still sounds good! going to be adding catless to make it a bit louder/performance
This looks identical to mine. I got a 328 in the same colors scheme. That's why I got it, a great family unit
Definitely go with AWE for the exhaust. Keep it alpine white cause carbon will look so good on it. Also, get the OEM alcantara/dry carbon interior trim.
Awesome pickup man looking forward to the build on this one!
So glad to see a newer bmw back
This is a smart move! And I like the fact that you picked his car i also got a 340 m sport im looking forward to these videos 🙌🏼
Glad you're back in an F30!
I'm extremely happy for this 340 build 🙌 😍
I have the exactly same car but 328i, excited to see the changes.
Welcome back to the F30 Gang!!!!!! Been here since day one with the 320i ;)
Welcome to the 340i fam!!!!!!!!!!!! Nice to see another Alpine White!
Subscribed!! I just left the subie world and got into my first bmw, same as yours alpina white, coral red interior, but in manual. I'm interested in what you'll end up doing with the head unit, I'd like to get android auto onto mine someday. I'm now also motivated to clay bar, polish, and wax it after.
Super excited for this build! I have a 2016 340 also. Looking forward to the videos!!
I think most of the followers are here because of that first F30 now this 340 uff can’t wait to see this project going forward!
Welcome to xDrive man!!! Just grabs and lunches you in the face on launch 🚀
The original reason I started watching the Channel is because of the f30 fam so glad it’s back ❤️
