What the fuck is this guy about....this IS a German car. Just because brits put their badge on, doesn't delete the fact that this car is 100% engineered and developed in Germany by Opel.
Beautifully styled car...def a consideration over Audi etc.....as they are now so unreliable ...and Vauxhall standards have def got better!! A great review ...thanks!!! :)
All with the help of SAAB which they dumped. Same for the Insignia Chassis which was a SAAB/Vauxhall joint effort. You always knew Vauxhall were going to come up with a lesser 9-3.
Good to see that it was finally revealed as a Buick model coming to showrooms this year. It'll do quite well and is adding to an already impressive Buick lineup of cars.
It did...and they killed it off along with the Regal and Verano after Opel became part of PSA. GM just doesn't seem to have any luck bringing its European cars here. Once upon a time, Buick was Opel's conduit to the US market...
the convertible is produced by Magna CTS, which also does roof systems for Audi A5, Corvette, Mercedes SLK, Porsche Boxter, 911 convertible, etc so it should be as reliable as on those cars.
The Vauxhall is my choice here; to be different, if anything. Still, this has me thinking. I'm not sure of the reasons but if I were to buy a German luxury car I could never choose anything but a Mercedes. I think it's because I feel rather blase' when confronted by any Audi.
LOL at these comments... everybody knows that cabrios are bought by women almost exclusively, so the thing that its chaper and has a nice color is enough to be successful
It's funny when people criticize the video obviously without even watching it until the end. I like the new Astra, would love to own a VXR but I'm not so sure about the Cascada. Maybe because cabriolets are not my thing.
It's FWD... FWD Coupes aren't strong sellers, at least in the US. Also GM, any and everywhere is the world, needs to stop with the "one and done", "that's good enough", "how cheap can we make it" mentality of car design and development. Why isn't this car on the Alpha platform, and be truly a sport coupe and not the second coming of the Buick Reatta, looks fast, tech'ed to the nines, actually pretty nice looking, and well executed, but its a cheap package and compared to what it will be compared with, it feels it.
Although i have driven my friend's astra gtc coupe i have to say its a really good car, very comfortable and quiet. But to pick it over an audi? No chance!!
It looks pretty bloated, not the kind of car I'm after regardless of what I'd compare it too. As for Vauxhall vs. Audi that's far too general of a question. I'd take a loaded Vauxhall over a base Audi, but start throwing options at the Audi and going for the good engines and there's no competition.
I'm not a badge snob, so I'd take this ;)
I agree with you.

I would have the Vauxhall over the Audi because I'm not a douchebag.
I could see this coming to the states as a Buick.

Why cant this come to America!? Would buy it in a heartbeat!
It has now. The Buick Cacada.
*How reliable has this car been so far, especially the roof?*

3:35 I'd rather have a Vauxhall on my drive over a crappy Audi any day of the week.
What a lovely car!
Pretty nice car, but looks like an Astra without a roof. And that's why I'd save more cash for the A5.
Beautiful future Chevy Cruze Cabriolé
its really an Astra convertible with a new name
hate audis. hopefully theres something in this left over from the vx220. ILL TAKE THE VAXHAUL!!!
$ that's incredible! uncovered mammoth what's your opinion about that, gzys !
So are Buick, Vauxhall, Chevy and Holden all the same...
Of course the Vauxhall.Opel
Pretty nice for an Opel! Its no A5 though
Different kind of clients :)
Beware your title xcar ! Last thing you wanna do is to insult audi like you just did with that title.
LOL at these comments... everybody knows that cabrios are bought by women almost exclusively, so the thing that its chaper and has a nice color is enough to be successful
Someone who would consider buying an Audi wouldn't look twice at this car lol
It's funny when people criticize the video obviously without even watching it until the end.

Definitely not enough...
The problem with this car is the interior is UGLY. Because the exterior is nice :)
It may be enough to put someone off a VW, but not an Audi.
VW is better.
I agree. I would buy a VW over this, but I can see why someone would choose the Cascada over a VW.
Nooo. VW has this feel that I don't feel in an Audi. Audi is nice but VW has ths crisp german feel.
Vauxhall is just like the Buick Regal. Vauxhall is owned by Buick. VW triumphs Vauxhall.
bigd78881 Porsche 911 Turbo S vs Nissan GTR Nismo...which one would you buy? In terms of reliability, speed, handling...
I'll love my VW EOS until the day I die.

This is not cheap feeling. This car feels more expensive inside than any Cadillac currently on the market.
derbigpr500
Did you just say you were full of BS or never even sat in A Cadillac made in the last 20 years?
3:35 A Vauxhall ANY day of the week. Audi's are shite.
Although i have driven my friend's astra gtc coupe i have to say its a really good car, very comfortable and quiet. But to pick it over an audi? No chance!!
Enough to put you off an Audi?...NO!!!!! lol
Well an Audi is just a vw...
Hi, what's up? Sensational" giant discover What's your opinion about that, guzs !
Just get rid of that brand, it is Opel anyways.
It looks pretty bloated, not the kind of car I'm after regardless of what I'd compare it too.

Build in Poland! So much about the "German rivals".
Not enough, but it is on a good way
A good value for money...maybe, however, it's not that exciting, not even close when it comes to looks and power!!
Definitely the Audi, looks way better.
A Vauxhall or an Audi? No contest ... a Vauxhall. Audi's and BMW's are overpriced shite.
I really dont mind to have Vauxhall... Audi is just shitty overpriced VW.
Or go and get a Volvo C70.....
No, Audi is king. period.
Who else can't wait for a new Tesla
Looks like a Buick. VW is way better
Just so boring and numb to drive. Typical Vauxhall / Opel. Audi and BMW are light years away
That car is just quite simply put, hideous
Easy, NOOO!
This car is 100% gay! lol
Audi for me
I just hate the looks of it, it's top chopped astra...
I can't see how this can compete with Audi...
It doesn't look good either way. What an appalling car.
Nasty pasty crap again. In trade. TT Astra just crap with unreliable roof. Need say more. Buy used German
this car is fail!
What a horrible, horrible car
Of course the Vauxhall.Opel
