I recently watched the original and the 2018 ones back to back and the 2018 is good. When you watch them back to back it shows how Laurie was affected by what happens and that she takes on this survivor role
Honestly I recently watched the newest timeline which goes; original, then the 2018 Halloween, Halloween Kills and Halloween ends. I do recommend this as it’s more continuous as the 2018 and Halloween kills all take place the same night and you see a lot of comparison with the original. If you want to watch absolute crazy timeline the sequel ones so 2, 4, 5 and curse are just crazy and Loomis is hilariously going crazy in it. However the H20 does have its merits showing the relationship between Michael and Laurie. Its preference and I do recommend at least watching them all just warning they do decline in quality
