Had the pleasure of working with Brad Fittler in Junior Development. Someone asked me before he was appointed coach if he was the right man for the job. From what I saw working with him, especially how he manages young players and his heavy involvement in the NSW Junior System for years at prior to his appointment, my answer was an overwhelming YES. Most of not all of the young stars who have come into origin in the past few years or will be coming into that arena have already been coached by Fittler in NSW Junior Rep sides
So glad this man took over his gave blues hope again and is producing the up and coming talent instead of Daley bringing in has been and under performers
Daly had no up and comers ya peanut haha. Fitler also didn’t have to coach against the greatest origin team in the history of origin. No coach was beating that team. We played out of our skin to win in 2014 and many seasons were close. Daly did a good job. Definitely time to Pass it over to fitler. But you don’t have to kick Daly to give Fitler a pat on the back.
Ill never forget the game 3 decider in the stands that night!!! One of the most unreal moments i've experienced!. Gives me goosebumps. All for the price of $100.
This year's team will look very different. A lot of water to flow under the bridge between now and October but at this stage 6or7 of these guys are no chance (no names needed).
It would be great if the NRL had a format like the NBA all stars. They should have all players from the NRL able to be eligible to play origin. Players like Taumalolo, RTS etc. are missing out. I also found it funny when Radradra played for Australia that one time, but wasn't eligible to play origin 🤷🏾♂️🤷🏾♂️ If only......
with Fred you can really see the need to monitor older players for concussion injuries and the early onset of dementia.. well done to this doco for highlighting this oft neglected malady..

He’s a great defender and doesn’t make many errors, tbh he is quite similar to the way Pearce played in origin. Both did their jobs, just the main difference is that for most of Pearce’s origin career he versed the best QLD squad ever assembled

Brad Fittler is that rare combination, totally ordinary with a very very special gift

As a queensland supporter, awesome stuff from Freddy to completely change up the dynamic of the blues and to instil origin mentality in young blokes.
