I'm old school I guess...but I don't understand this strange fascination with TikTok and the heavy over the top-fans. People just need to chill out man.
It’s Gen Z’s version of social media but it’s ruining our children and government failed to protect our kids from China!
They have nothing better to do
Because we're slowly losing our common sense
think sports illustrated swimsuit edition, but spoiled entitled kids who do nothing but look at screens all day- back then you put the magazine down ( rested your hand) and went outside for bike ride.
@@dnice4335 "(rested your hand)" 😂😂
I would sooooo annoyed if I were a gymnast on that team, dealing with that junk
You’d be jealous lol
That “junk” is the only reason people are even watching Gymnastics 🤣🤣
Well said. While she earns $2.7 million from it.
She does encourage her fans to go wild, most sport people don’t do TikTok. And these fans are being a meme, it’s a massive joke although sadly there could be a crazy person
it's almost like every single person in the world thinks they should be involved in every single thing that happens on this earth. I can't believe how some are justifying someone getting threatened and stalked because another person finds them attractive
2.4 million as a college student for tumbling ?…stay off the social media during season…
Woah, relax. Americans have to stop acting like they've met everyone. Chill out with these statements
we call them republican.
this girl knows exactly what she is doing.......i give her credit in a way. But just do not moan when you get exactly what you want.

The pros and cons of social media
Yes, but tbf this sht has happened to gymnasts forever.
It's really gross ... I remember Dominique Moceanu had a stalker way back when.
Fans going over the line is a fame thing.
@@Yuri92001 Shannon Miller had a stalker at one point… However, I think social media is far worse…

@Daniel Gourdine I agree. I do think that social media makes it a lot worse
Social media - Hollywood 2.0
All these social media celebrities I've never heard of. I'm 37; I guess that's old now.
This is a double standard. This is exactly the way a whole crowd of girls acted during the boy band craziness.
(also back then, the girls would grab “mob” and try to rip off the clothing of the boy band members. (& the media just portrayed them, as “normal” cute little girls hormones going wild over their crushed/heroes)
-
(I don’t think that’s ever gonna happen here, in the reverse situation, The boys are going to cheer, just like the girls did, but I don’t think the boys are gonna start ripping off her clothing)
Oh you don’t think they will start doing that???? Really 🤦♀️ Men are dangerous and gross and assault girls ALL THE TIME and you need to get an education; your not wrong about double standards their but the girls would never kidnap and over power and assault those men but NICE TRY!!
@@sarahmcbride5055 No,
What I was saying that: if Olivia walked by these teenage guys in a public place with obvious TV reporter cameras around, I highly doubt the guys would be mobbing & groping and attempting to rip off her clothes.
(like seen countless times from teenage girls mobbing male celebrities & boy bands)
-
What some creepy (overpowering size advantage) guys do (have done), behind the scenes, or household and/or dating domestic violence, is not what I’m referring to in my original post.
-
i’m referring to; that when teenage girls go crazy over, and mob male celebrities (ever since the Beatles & continued to the boy bands) & mob & attempt to rip off their clothes, the media portrays it as “cute” hormonal little girls,
and while, what they are doing, if it was the reverse, that would be a tragedy. (of course)
-
Your remarks about some men are gross & dangerously assault women “all the time”
is not relevant to my original comment of “double standard” of public display of hormonal teenager public celebrity excitement.
(& thus, I don’t need an education)
It's not a double standards. When the crazy fan girls got out of hand they put in extra measure to ensure everyone was safe.
@@Splexsychiick
Yes it is a Double Standard. . .
Of course, as these boy bands got more and more popular, they add more security of course.
-
I never heard or saw the media or TV reporters, depict the girls “public mobbing scene” as disrespectful, & that it needs to be stopped immediately etc.
-
I never heard the Beatles, Rolling Stones, or the countless boy bands or other male teen idols, ever put out a statement, to tell the girls to:
“please respect us and to be civil when you come to our events or waiting outside our events”
Crowds of mobs of teenage and pre-teenage girls going wild over them, correlates to big-time money,
and I’ve never heard them ever complain and telling the girls to stop acting like normal hormonal teenage girls. (in public)
Didn't security handle that too?
She did that to herself, she made her image out of promoting her body her looks for guys to want her for her body looks only. SO now after she doesnt like some of those fans shes complaining. WATEVER GO CRY A RIVER SOMEWHERE ELSE.
She should have to pay for the security since shes the one on tiktok causing this hubbub requiring more security
Good for her … hopefully she stays safe.
I never knew who she was until now
My sentiments exactly. If she needs security get her security. They would for a basketball star. Get it girl!
@@MrDjslav5 exactly!
If you want her to be safe then you should tell her to stop posting smutty videos online
@noturbusiness123 Used up? Women aren’t disposable things that get used up. You sound like a miserable person and need to rethink how you see women.
I hope she is paying for the security and not the college.
So...they are such huge fans but didn't know she wasn't going to be there...interesting
Exactly. They are not her fans. More like a mob.
this literally has been happening for DECADES at EVERY boy band concert ever....
but when the shoes on the other foot...we call attention to it?
Colin Cowherds wife said it best.
"The cute girls are going to cash in with NIL..."
Hope she's paying for it all.
"Tik tok star"
🤣🤣🤣
That is such a distraction. I hope they deal with those fans properly, there is no place for that kind of behavior at meets.
Amazing for her, but she should invest in her own security team as well as the venue/campus making sure to keep guests safe.
she not rich enough to fund her own security.
She earned $2.7 million!
@@KA-eu9sy lol she is in no way be responsible for her own security when competing! That is ridiculous . That would mean every single nfl player are nba player would have to hire security! I think they all overpaid but while you are working that is stupid l. If your argument is they make enough money then how about the owner who is worth billions so he should get the break???
#SIMP. She's a HARLOT and a pig. She deserves NO protection or sympathy. She gets whatever she deserves good or bad
@@Jsodat You're not actually comparing an petite young lady to a physically imposing male? LOL
She does require her own personal security for her own safety. This is a new phenomenon for her but she is not a regular person, and even if she as an imposing athlete, a megastar that draws large crowds must think of their safety.
But regardless of why that crowd is there, it is up to LSU to control it. They can limit access to the lots to ticket/pass holders and keep the rest outside the gate, on the street, and let the police deal with them.
Like any other event on a campus orvenue, treat these people the same. If they are obstructing the event, escort them out and off of the property. Give out enough citations it will curb that noise.
Why should the school pay for extra security when she's the problem. Some of that 2.7mil she's worth should go towards it.
Bro learn the difference net worth doesn't equal what's In her pocket. Lsu is home to many famous athletes
@@nettaparkinson7697 man stop dip shit. She's still making money. I do know what net worth is...

@@rosamendoza1510 I know she doesn't have that amount in the bank but she probably has enough to pay for her own security.
@@lamara8497 what what I said
Wow. What is happening with our society? Just crazy, plain crazy. There is fan support and then there is crazy.
Honestly, all the videos I’ve seen have been of hyper masculine frat boys vying for her attention…it’s quite concerning and something deeper that needs to be addressed!!!
Why is it such a concern because it's guys wanting to see a pretty girl versus girls wanting to see a handsome guy? Do we really think because it's guys, they're going to do something bad to her? Are we really saying that guys are crazier than girls?
So she's not responsible for the consequences of her tic toc activities?
Hyper masculine? She intentionally developed this fan base. She doesn't do it for the gay guys.
@Joe Anyone who says "full stop" instantly loses any credibility and reveals themselves as a virtue signaling beta. I'm an adult, and these guys are kids. I don't act like that, but I don't condemn or judge them for doing it. It's completely appropriate for them to cheer on a girl they think is cute and who is their own age.
At least it’s better than them shooting up a school in their down time 😂
They should charge her for the additional security expenses. Isn’t she rich? 😂
They shouldn’t charge her, she has no control over her fans. She’s also bringing in more ticket sales for the stadiums even when she’s not performing that week with her team.
@@Laurenslabyrinth she's doing it by posting tik toks of herself doing splits in bathing suits and flirting with all her fans calling them her "little boyfriends". Calling them cute. When your a girl especially you know what posting that kind of stuff does. She's always posting provocative stuff. She's well aware what kind of attention she's going to get and then acts like it's gross 🤣🤣 well should of thought twice about if you wanted a real career as a gymnast or to be internet famous off your body. Looks like she chose to use her body now she's paying for it. See any other famous gymnasts being bombarded by obsessed dudes yelling nasty stuff to them? No. Because they have respect for themselves and don't need the attention of all the men in the world to feel good. She should have to pay since she's the one who created the problem. It sets an awful example for young gymnasts.
@@wb7606 Tldr
It probably was some nauseating long smol boy justification for why it's ok to cross the line.
@@wb7606 If you haven’t seen what gymnasts wear already it creates an inappropriate picture for men (or other women) anyways. She might wear bathing suits, which is different, but gymnasts already have to wear revealing and tight leotards. Men have already been attracted to them before this. And you don’t see her coach or other teammates telling her to take down her videos or limit what she posts, they’re banking off this as much as her.
Is she really that stupid to call creepy strangers on social media her "little boyfriends"?
Olivia Dunne is looking fabulous
This is so creepy

@Joe Mama nope, its the people that use the technology
Y’all said about my generation 10 years ago and yet the workforce is doing great.
I blame the parents
Delete your social media. Stop trying to get so much attention on screen. End of story.
The fact that it's all dudes is what makes it creepier, if her fanbase was mixed genders or a majority of girls it would still be a security concern, but the creep factor wouldn't be so blatant.
They said she's a tiktok star, I didn't check her numbers, but I did check IG and she has over 3 million followers, she's a petite blonde who doesn't have the dorito/upside-down triangle build that other gymnasts tend to and her pics tend to show off her body and sex appeal.
Unfortunately for her and everybody else is, this is what happens and what's worse is these dudes know where she goes to school and they know she probably lives close or on campus; she and the school need to be careful.
Edit: Before you express your hurt feelings b/c you took my comment personal (lol) or before you start suiting up to protect the sanctity of these boys, read my replies to everybody else who's feelings were hurt, I don't want to repeat myself 🙃.
So it's creepy when it's a bunch of guys cheering for a girl they like, but it's cool when it's all girls cheering and screaming and crying for Justin Bieber or Backstreet Boys or New Kids on the Block or the Beatles? Fanatic fans have always existed, and they always will.

Agreed! Especially with the challenges it's created. Licking the tops of ice cream containers choking each other out weird sexual challenges. It's all just rotting everyone's brains and they don't even see it. Especially our future generation. No worth ethic just the internet! It's sad. My nephew love him to pieces but he's 16 and very lazy. He would rather hang out with his friends and make videos trying to get money off of that. My sister and her husband has tried taking him and encouraging him to try jobs at different places his thing like most kids I guess is " I don't want to work in fast food".my husband tried to take him to work with him he does construction and of course he was not interested. But now there's more options for young adults but most don't want them 😕 if I would of had some of the job options these kids do I'd probably be a lot further in life lol 😂 idk it just seems like they really don't want to have to do anything unless it's fun for them they don't realize how much they have that we didn't!

I think a big part of it is how attractive Livvy is. She is like a super model.

The NCAA is just laughing. They dodged paying athletes by letting them do the NIL thing. It is clearly spiraling out of control. Each athlete does their own thing and it is like Thunderdome! You will see the NIL deal over and done with in a few years and the NCAA will go back to student athlete model with no compensation. It earned $1.16 Billion in 2021. Where did all of that money go?
So glad the athlete finally getting paid
These people are not about the sport
The late Olivia Newton John was also known as Livvy by her fans.
How is this any different than fan girls with Bieber or whoever is in right now? No one is bothered when girls do this. I guess we should shun boys for being alive. They don’t deserve a chance at life.
That's crazy cause when black kids do become influencers and are athletes they loose scholarships and have to choose one or the other but she gets security and still go to school
I think the new NCAA rules have changed all that.
saw a girl get kicked because she was wearing shorts
Not seeing all the hype, but alrighty then! Taylor Swift tickets 2.0
Spandex shorts should be worn now for all athletes. Or a long leotard with shorts built in. Skaters too.
If she was homely, nobody would be there or give a hoot.
But isn't this what she wants? the attention.. with fame comes attention from both bad and good, DEAL WITH IT BUTTERCUP! Plus now they complain about people being interested in female sports.. interesting!
Preach!
I remember watching a few competitions last year. It was crazy, I couldn't enjoy it at all. They were extremely loud, rude and disrespectful. Grown, drunk men and women, acting like little kids. Those athletes work hard and definitely need to concentrate, what they do is not easy. They're not throwing a football.
Waiting for her OnlyFans
They're foaming at the mouth.
Social media is the #1 vehicle driving self-promotion. Therefore, colleges will have to increase security. Popularity will increase more attention to the sport, regardless of talent/beauty etc. that Olivia encompasses. Colleges will have to establish tougher criteria. It's something they've never really had to worry about. But let's be real. LSU likes the attention they are getting. When it becomes too problematic for them, they'll do like other colleges and put the hammer down on morality clauses, dress codes, and scrutinize what you can/cannot present as an ambassador for their team.
Who?
She needs to chose one or the other, Social media or Gymnastics.
No she shouldn't. Men need to control themselves. Male athletes don't have to do this.
for real.
why
new rules to profit off her image as a college athlete is why this is happening. Blame the institution- she is doing exactly what is allowed.
exactly! like the ex football player deestroying got kicked out for becoming popular on social media
This is why social media shouldnt be allowed for athletes especially if its just lil dance skits that everyone is doing... its not always advertisements she puts out... 🤷♀️🤷♀️🤦♀️

I always read that elephant herds kick the juvenile makes OUT. -_-
Everybody is nuts these days. (No offense to nuts of course.)
Just like all other celebrities, she should be paying for security herself. She is reaping the financial benefits of her social media presence in the millions, so why should a public university (taxpayers) have to foot the bill.
Just think how much publicity the university and the sport is gaining from her. I bet ticket sales are way up .

The most unfortunate thing about all this is, it has guaranteed a spike in the sexualization of this sport, which could easily lead to a decrease in participation, as fewer and fewer girls are going to want to have to deal with this crap.
I want the girls to be safe but 2023 a female gymnast is a American sensation that’s amazing right not since 1984

FOOL! Lady? LOL. SHE'S A #W*HORE and deserves NO protection. She deserves whatever happens to her good or bad
She's not a regular person. She's a star. They won't leave her alone because they aren't harassing her, they are simply creating the same obstacle as any other fan club. The university is the only one who can address this. It starts by hiring more security or refusing entry to non-ticket holders.
This is because everything is over sexualised now.
