Thanks for taking the time to walk through this book with us, greatly appreciated. It helps with deciding which books to purchase, it can get overwhelming. 😊

It can be overwhelming, one of the reasons why I do book reviews is to help weed out the fluff so to speak!

Hello! I've been looking through your videos for a few months now. I really appreciate how thoroughly you explain information to us, how accesible you are, and your gorgeous photography. I know I'm quite late to the party, but I'm excited to watch the rest of your videos.

I just got this book, reading it now. Going to give foraging a try this spring. I'm in SE Wisconsin myself, a lot of places to go.

Besides this book do you recommend any other foraging books?

You might check out my playlist titled: Wild Plant Book Reviews
It has multiple books that I've reviewed in a similar manner and ones I recommend to any I teach in class.
Hope this helps some and thanks for asking!

Aren't there any books out there that contain the 10 key identifiers description that helps you break down what you are looking for?

I don’t think there’s a more approachable author out there for new foragers than Thayer. Aside from being knowledgeable, his writing style is enjoyable to read.

Totally agree! It's nice to read his books because besides his information, he's just fun and knowledgeable as can be.

Now I want to actually read my Forager's Harvest. Too bad most edibles are likely doused with Round-Up where I live but I like knowing what I'm looking at. It also makes me feel Spring and Summer coming. I can just hear the locusts... Nope, that's just my hvac hissing but whatever....

Definitely would be handy to have. Must books don't go into that much detail. Let alone vivid pictures to really define the plants 😎👍

Hello Josh. Has anyone written anything as effective for skin cancer? I am not going to put YOU on the spot Josh, but, I want to look into natural remedy. I am NOT going in for it, and, this itching/burning is nearly driving me crazy?

    • @AtheistEve

I hope you’ve seen a doctor and specialist for cancer.

      @thomas rhodes
I've seen some things written about it concerning plants but I can't remember which ones specifically.
When it comes to things that serious I always advise people to see a professional with a license/degree because that type of thing is extremely serious and people die frequently from it. I understand hesitation about going to a doctor, truly, I do. However life altering ailments like cancer are very serious and require professional attention.
Please take care of yourself Thomas, the world is a bit brighter with you in it.

    • @TrilliumWildEdibles

It's his newest book but I wouldn't really say it's better. It is thicker with more information and higher quality pictures but each book is useful as they all cover different plants so it's best to have them all.
