#5 '24 Northern State Mental Hospital, WA

Come along for a wander with Zaira and I as we explore Northern State Mental Hospital. Northern State was originally commissioned in 1909 and opened in 1912. This area was a self sufficient town unto itself with all its own resources such as a Farm, Dairy, Production facilities, etc. At its height the hospital provided care and service for over 2700 patients and additionally, housed a significant staffing presence. 1500 of those patients remain interred in the on site cemetery...
