Local children of Mawblei locality in Shillong rescue an injured Eurasian Coot - a bird rarely seen in Meghalaya
The bird was rescued on Oct 26 by some children while they were out fetching water
The children rescued the bird after they noticed that it can no longer walk due to an injury
On being informed, their uncle, R. Kharkongor sought the help of some scribes in Shillong who informed the Wildlife department
