What a fantastic video! you have one of very few really dojo's, you have created something very special here and its inspiring to see, thank you for taking the time to show us around.
Watching Aikido era Rokas is wild. I can understand why he left for combat sport -especially if your goal is to be a great fighter -but this seems like a chill and fun place. Coming from a wushu taolu practitioner, another less-than-martial martial art.
Thanks! Your always welcome to visit :) Also, in the future I hope to start running international workshops/camps on my discoveries to share them with everyone. Maybe that may be a chance to visit
I wonder Sensei RokasLeo if you could do a video piece on aikido and the health, wellness and healing benefits. I have a disease called AS and for ten years I have been severely disabled---thankfully I have started a medication that isn't a cure persay, allows me to move again. I quickly joined an aikido dojo and it has been a wonder to go from needing two canes to walk and sit up to now getting thrown all around a dojo etc. Some doctors and family members wonder, how is this possible? I have been reading the wonderful book, "Spiritual Foundations of Aikido," and am learning about the very sophisticated blend of Shinto and Buddhism that OSensei was speaking from----there is a lot there around wellness, healing etc. I want to learn more!
Hi Thomas, thanks for sharing your story, it sound very inspiring. It actually sound that it would be great to make a video about your story too :) I'm sure many would become inspired. Actually a student of mine has CP and although many Dojo's would potentially discourage her from training, she has been doing Aikido for more than a year in our Dojo and made amazing progress! It's great that there is such potential for growth. As for your request, I will look into it, although it is not an easy one to tackle, since there is so much that is happening on a subtle level and probably very little research has been done specifically with Aikido. Yet again, I will still look into it :)
Hello again Thomas, I've finally made the video we've spoken about on Aikido and healthiness. I am a bit concerned that it's probably not really touching the specific subject of your interest, but I hope that you will still find something useful in it. Here is the link: th-cam.com/video/BbrjCjhoZw4/w-d-xo.html
That was an amazing space you use to have. How much were you paying for rent? How much were each of your student's fees? What were the economics behind running a martial arts dojo?
could u pls make a video about techniques that are suitable for mma? I know the idea of aikido in a competetive sport is not very aikidoish but i would be happy if u could do one.
+philipp ewen Thanks for the unique request. I am not well aquainted with MMA techniques, so it can be hard to make a good video for me, but I will think about it. Did you check the TH-cam channel called Aikido Flow? They are quite varied in Aikido techniques that are "out of the box". Maybe they could be someone to rely on too? They are really cool and open too

Sensei this is a nice video it creates the impression of knowing you and your Dojo. I am a student of Tae Kwon Do but enjoy learning other martial art skills (not sure my wife and daughters enjoy me practising on them though!). I like the spiritual interaction with Aikido and I am sure this will encourage me to join a class soon. Thanks for presenting the art and skills in such a clear way.
Thanks John! I really appreciate your support. It's also great for me to hear that you are a student of Tae Kwon Do, yet still interested outside of it's circle. One of my future visions is to slowly bring martial arts together and give space for them to appreciate each other for what they are and to benefit from this relationship. As for family, a lot of training and dedication to martial arts is not always an easy thing to digest for our wife's. But I discovered, that if you give at least equal amount of attention to both sides and also sincerely explain the importance of practice to yourself, it can actually turn out very good :)
+David Ellis Thanks. This is actually our second Dojo space, but I was very happy how it all fell into places. It almost felt like it was made for a Dojo :)
I also use a mattress as a crash mat hahaha. I don't have my own gym but more of a little club that shares knowledge together from judo, bjj, wrestling, and kickboxing
+David Ellis Will do my best! Right now I am in Switzerland filming a seminar, interviews and many side projects. Will bring back a good amount of new material next week :)
+Swolbraham Lincoln Vilnius is nice and there is at least one full time Aikido Dojo, but big-full time Aikido Dojo's are actually very rare in the whole world. Most places co-rent it with other martial arts or practises. Ps: nice meeting you
Wow, I hope we wad such beautiful dojos here in Argentina :) The style of Aikido yo teach is more related to Ki Aikido rather than Aikikai, right?, that's my impression as a Ki Aikido student. I'll definetly pass by if I travel to Lituania xD
Hi, I am not strongly connected to Aikikai (hombu style) in terms of technique or their approach to Aikido. I can see some relationship with Ki Aikido, that's true, although what I practice is closely connected to some Dojo's in the Californian Aikido Association and most notably that of Patrick Cassidy Sensei (my teacher). If you are ever around Lithuania, you are always welcome to visit :)
Thanks for the answer! :) Here I once took a seminar with Oshima Sensei from "Aikido Kodokai", I think that Kodokai has several dojos there in California. I really like when I find other dojos that also give importance to the spiritual part and the understanding of KI. I'll definetly go and check some Patrick Cassidy's videos now haha.
kundogb I agree with you, I also appreciate much more Dojo's which give importance to the spiritual side of Aikido. In terms of Patrick Cassidy Sensei's videos, I will be releasing more of them soon, of which some will be more spirituality focused.
Would you care to define a real fight? I ask this question respectfully as I see this comment repeated time and time again. There are many types of fights and your statement is very broad.
It's fairly weird watching this after your current videos, but nevertheless I'm glad TH-cam threw it up as a recommendation..
Yeah, even if his understanding of martial arts totally flipped, this Dojo is pretty awesome (in terms of space)
What a fantastic video! you have one of very few really dojo's, you have created something very special here and its inspiring to see, thank you for taking the time to show us around.
+Aikidoflow Thanks! As always, I really appreciate your support! I hope that soon enough I can show around in person too
how times have changed😊
Haha, tell me about it 😅

Great Dojo! Thanks for showing it to us! From the inside and from the outside!

Excellent tour of your Dojo.

Oh, great camera work as well.
+Tom George I'll need to tell that to the camera person, we had some camera issues in the past, so this is good to hear :)

AikidoSiauliai that would be terrific. Thanks for the invite.
The new Rokas has more testosterone
What a nice space, good energy----thank you for all the videos! Just watched your nikyo explanation in preparation for class tonight--very helpful.
+Thomas Kilts I'm always super happy to hear that our video was helpful to someone. Thanks for sharing
dam this place is huge! awesome space you made for your students and yourself
very nice dojo. congratulations.
+Blair Presson Thank you
Very beautiful.
Lots of natural light!!
Thanks! It is great to have the big windows. Although now, it's a bit hot with the sun heating the mats... ;)
Great video. I just started taking Aikido about a month ago. really enjoy it and I enjoy your videos. I watch them to help me practice.
Hi, congratulations on starting Aikido! I'm glad you like the videos. Keep up your practice
+AikidoSiauliai Thank you Sensei. I'm excited to continue with it. really enjoying it.
nickelgoat822 Great!
Thanks for showing us around. You have a really nice Dojo.

Thank Yulie! Would be great to have you here, just let us know if you are ever on the way.
That was an amazing space you use to have. How much were you paying for rent? How much were each of your student's fees? What were the economics behind running a martial arts dojo?
what a nice environment u have there
+josh koh Thanks!
Wow! You build a whole apartment there. It looks very nice.
+Sandooo Thanks! :) Actually it is the size of four standart apartments :)

+Catalin Denuve Thank you! I am very inspired about seeing peoples dreams come true, so we have to believe and show they can come true too :)
Beautiful dojo sensei rokas!

Excellent I'll be looking forward to seeing them.
Wow, I lived in Vilnius for 2 years but never seen a dojo before ! I am from Turkey and I practice aikido as well :))

that's a really nice dojo where is it located?
Nice dojo. I'm envious. :-P
Well, anyone can actually make their own. It just takes time, effort and some knowledge :) PS: I'm glad you like it
Wow! Very nice dojo! ;) i wish someday i can train with y'all especially you Sensei Rokas. :)
+John Michael Samson That's great to hear. You are always welcome to come!

what's the difference between aikikai and ki aikido? the spiritual side of things?
Ah, a convenient convenience store!
Where is this dojo located at?
Lithuania, city Šiauliai
Thanks, I put it on my list to visit you one day.
Sweet. I'll see you here when the time comes!
I like your style but akido would not work in a real fight. Good aditude btw. What is your philosophy for this ?
Would you care to define a real fight? I ask this question respectfully as I see this comment repeated time and time again. There are many types of fights and your statement is very broad.
My personal opinion is that I don’t like Aikido AT ALL. I just don’t find it has interesting, inspiring, and effective as American Kenpo and Taekwondo
fake aikido, i beat all your dojo
