For The Love of Mike Hello A, what a lovely comment. I was intrigued by your profile name so clicked. You and Mike are absolute troopers. I have 1 left nephrostomy as the kidney is being squashed by a benign CSF cyst in my abdomen. I have a small pouch on my back that can hold 300ml so I don’t need to attach a leg bag except at night. You and Mike have a great attitude to just getting on with things and made me count my blessings. Sending you both lots of hugs and love from Scotland xxx

Mike is having surgery on Wednesday to put in stents. We are so thankful for the opportunity! I hope it will bring Mike great relief. What a joy and delight to see my friend Ming Ming and his Mum Gaynor. These two are very special people. The synchronicity is amazing. This is definitely a God given relationship. So proud of them both.
He’s just being himself. Nothing inspirational about it! A lot of disabled people don’t particularly like when they’re referred too as inspirational! He’s a truly amazing guy! Is more like it!
@AJ I too get frustrated by the objectification of disabled people as sources of inspiration at times. He’s just a talented guy trying to have a happy life. No different than anyone else living their best life. I think able-bodied people see disabilities as something terrible that must be conquered, whereas disabled people tend to view their physical limitations as just a part of who they are. Their goal is simply to be treated as equals in the greater community, with equal physical access, but also access to job opportunities, services, and education. It’s only when people are so used to their teacher being in a wheelchair, their barista being deaf, their lawyer being blind that it isn’t noteworthy or remarkable - that’s when we’ve achieved true inclusion into society.
