To the people saying Meg sucks at drumming, they know. Jack said she played like a kid and that's how they liked it. Jack and Meg didn't want to sound like the greatest band.
TheInsignificantAtheist I always thought it was strange that people questioned things like this (especially with the earlierwhite stripes stuff) when the band is literally just an electic guitar and a simple drum kit. The idea was to create something fun and cool, not sound like Rush.
Besides, Rush puts me to sleep...this keeps me up all night...this is far more interesting and engaging than some purist BS that is technically awesome, but in reality, is really just boring...
Not creative both lyrically and melodically, can't sing, sloppy guitar, bad tone, terrible improvisation for live performance...... It’s an art form. It seems so simple, and the way it’s put makes it their signature sound. I absolutely love it. Not every guitarist has to shred, not every drummer has to do awesome fills. Either way, the Stripes make it sound brilliant.
Who would have thought at the time of this performance that Jack would go on to become the entrepreneur that he has. He has literally become an icon within the music community. He has his own studio now where they actually press and distribute their own actual VINYL records, he is in two bands and has a solo career as well. In my opinion he is one of the most talented guys working in music today and I am glad that I am alive to witness all that he does.
You don't have to like the White Stripes but man you gotta respect them! A drum and one guitar. You have to be very clever and creative to make it as such a 2-person band.
same with twenty one pilots. tyler (the lead singer) plays drum and bass depending on the song, and josh (the drummer) who drums in the supposedly worst style. but it still sounds so good.

Its hard as hell to play because the strings are about an inch off od the fretboard, you definitely need some strong fingers to make that sound decent. It seems to be one of his favorites though and I believe it is made out of plastic.
i love how messy this is and the guitar riff and drums just really adds something to the song. i think it really interprets falling in love but in a nutshell

I read that as he started butchering song and shat my self 😂
"All" means three or more. You mean "both".
MrParkerman6 he did that for a humorous affect
So did I
Seriously, I love this version. The drumming the messy vocals it's great to me.
That's why they are called a garage band--But F that they are great
That's Jack's sister Meg
Disagree with your analysis--This is the sound they were trying to get and it works for most people.
