I guess the purpose for this video is the funeral director is telling you that he does not get paid extra to help unload the Box casket. That's extra trouble for him.
Looks like a lot of work for the funeral home staff. We also supply caskets direct to customers in Canada. Our delivery staff are trained to remove all packaging and bring it back with them. We make it easy for the funeral home!
Costco too. Good reviews with most mentioning beyond the equal or superior quality the savings of hundreds if not thousands of dollars. Funeral home markups are quite incredible. There’s a reason they don’t drive old hearses around.
I wouldn't have signed for it until it was unboxed and unloaded by them. just as i expext from Batesville. Also because of the third party involvement, ask that the family is present for delivery and to sign. Thanks for the vid.
I totally agree with you. Take the option but definitely have family present when it arrives or don’t open until a family member is there. If there’s a problem the Mortician’s response can be “ No disrespect.... but you ordered it”
dont know if i would trust a casket from any company other then Batesville. but at least now u know what to expect when a family orders caskets from companies u dont directly deal with as a funeral home. sadly im sure this issue might discourage funeral directors to allow families to order form not only walmart but any discount casket companies.
If the boxer scratches do you think will admit it ??? That is not the honda civic of caskets, that is the Yudo: you don't have a clue what you are getting stuck with. If it was wood it would be super heavy
Mike, I just started my own Courier business here in Morris County, NJ. Not sure if you would know but would a Funeral Home as yours outsource delivery of caskets to you? Do you know who I can contact? Also, as a 'one man with a van' type of set up how would you assist me possibly in unloading a casket? Thanks.
If you order a casket and need help getting it off the delivery truck. Let me know I'm a very good and skilled whacker operator it Germany's version of a fork lift only difference is they burn diesel fuel not proepain
This can't discourage a funeral home from accepting caskets, it is the law that they must do so......this mat cause a family to think twice prior to ordering it in this way. I have accepted several caskets from various suppliers online and have NOT had one family satisfied with the product they had delivered.....that to me speaks volumes.
If you found that great a savings you appear to have been getting charged way too much to start with. My guess is that you had been pricing at a corp owned funeral home ? I have been doing this for many years and am proud to say that you are not able to buy caskets of the same quality for less, period. I will not leave your post up much longer because I am not here to advertise anyone's website or phone, not even my own. I share facts about the industry, you clearly do not compare like things.
One female funeral director said, Ohhhhh, we take them , but suppose a handle or something falls off? She was saying all kinds of stuff that could happen. She said you can try it , but I don't know what would happen if something goes wrong with the casket ! Needless to say , I won't be using that funeral home ! They want you to spend $100000000000 , to buy their caskets ! SMH
Looks like a great delivery and great packaging. Will buy from them when I need it.
Did you need it already?

I would like to be there during the return process

Meaning some unethical directors might damage the casket as retaliation for not buying from them.
Means you get what you pay for. If it is cheap in price the quality is probably cheap.
