Thank you for making these webinars available after the original showings. I love using my walking foot on my 730E and have heard about dual feet but did not know the difference. I love learning.
I like the way Silvain teaches and explains. I don't own a Bernina, but I wanted to get a better feel for the function and use of walking feet in general.
Wow I learned a lot about my 770 and my collection of feet. I was just wondering about if I should buy the walking foot and I see my answer is YES. Thank you.
Wow! This was fabulous. I just got my 570QE, did have B330 for which I bought a walking foot. It has the silver fork so I shall be using it on my new machine.
Thank you for this information. I have a Aurora 440 QEE. Not sure which walking foot came with that machine I will check of course. I bought a 770 Tula and I am not sure if a walking foot came with it. Again I will check.
The screw on the back of standard presser feet allow you to add a guide to the foot. This guide is an accessory that comes with your machine and will fit onto any foot with the screw at the back.
I have the old walking foot that I use with my Artista 165. I don’t have a walking foot for my 880. Can I use old walking foot on 880 Ordoño I have to buy a newer one?
Your 'old' walking foot for your artista 165 won't fit the larger size of your B 880. The current walking foot was made to accommodate larger machines like your B 880
Great question- I think either would work well, but the advantage with dual feed and satin is that you can choose many variety of feet that have dual feed and they have more visibility of the work. I would also recommend lowering your presser foot pressure on satin if you find that you get "track marks" from the feed dog when sewing.
Hi there, thanks for asking. BERNINA presser feet are compatible with BERNINA machines only. There is a bernette walking foot though for your Chicago 7 model, see bernette.com/en-US/accessories/walking-foot/5020210293
Hi Karen, yes, there is a Walking Foot version that is compatible with the BERNINA 830 record from the Seventies and early Eighties. If you want to know about the compatibility of our presser feet, it is best to refer to the BERNINA Accessories catalog. The catalog can be downloaded as PDF from the following link: www.bernina.com/en-US/Support-US/Product-Catalogs On page 2 of the catalog, there is a chart showing the different machine models, divided into the main categories A, B, C, D, E and F. Based on these categories, the subsequent pages of the catalog show which accessories are compatible with which machine models. Important: The accessories catalog does not include a full list of all the machines belonging to category “A”. For space reasons, only newer models are listed. The complete list can be found here: blog.bernina.com/en/2020/10/please-welcome-to-the-stage-heritage-versions-of-the-height-adjustable-presser-feet/ It includes the 830 record. As you can see in the catalog, there is a Walking Foot compatible with category "A" and hence with your 830 record. This Walking Foot version has the article number 008 968 73 00.
Hi SDC Gren, all accessories listed as compatible with category "A" in our accessories catalog ( www.bernina.com/Bernina/media/products/Zubeh%c3%b6r/Zubeh%c3%b6rkatalog/2019/0338795_70A_04_Bernina_Zubehoerkatalog_EN.pdf ) are compatible with your machine. As you can see on page 11, there is also a Walking Foot compatible with "A" type machines (article number 008 968 73 00). Here's an interesting blog article with more information on BERNINA accessories for vintage machines: blog.bernina.com/en/2020/10/please-welcome-to-the-stage-heritage-versions-of-the-height-adjustable-presser-feet/
Hi there, thanks for asking. Unfortunately, there is no Walking Foot that is compatible with the bernette 77. The bernette 77 is equiped with integrated Dual Feed though.
No, the BSR is compatible with models made after 2004 when it was introduced- and is available on the mid-range and above. Please check with your local dealer for compatible models they might have.
Hi SDC Gren, thanks for asking. The BERNINA 475 QE has no Dual Feed. For this machine we recommend the BERNINA Walking Foot, see th-cam.com/video/NvfNCoJJ5dU/w-d-xo.html for more information on this accessory.
This was incredibly helpful. Thanks! One question though. I have a BEAUTIFUL 1130 as well as it's walking foot which I have used for years. However, that walking foot only came with one sole. Is it possible to purchase the other two soles separately or do I have to buy another walking for to get the other two soles. They surely would come in handy!
The old walking foot with a single sole for the vintage machines wasn’t designed to have the sole interchangeable. The current walking foot for the vintage machines does have the 3 soles included.
You can use the walking foot (for vintage models) on your 950 however you may want to limit your top speed while sewing. The walking foot was design for domestic machines, which typically have a top speed around 1000 or so stitches per minutes.
@@sylvainbergeron9895 Thank you so much. I look forward to Boot Camp too bad I made a different class purchase at the Creative Center before yours was offered rather than online but at the CC. Thanks again.

Yes I’m trying to install a walking foot
Can you please tell me why there is a screw on the back of the feet? Thank you Sylvain for all your videos, very appreciated.

En Colombia no se encuentra BERNINA.

What walking foot do I need for 9 mm machine please
There is only the 5.5mm walking foot available currently. It will fit and works well on 9mm machines, but the stitch width is limited to the 5.5mm.
Thanks so much for the info.
Our pleasure! 😘
