Lady Musgrave Island is a picturesque coral cay located in the Great Barrier Reef, which is situated off the coast of Queensland, Australia. The Great Barrier Reef is the largest coral reef system in the world and is renowned for its stunning biodiversity and vibrant marine life. Lady Musgrave Island is one of the many islands and cays within the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Lady Musgrave Island is located approximately 35 nautical miles off the coast from the town of 1770 in Queensland, Australia.
It is a coral cay, which is a type of sandy island formed by the accumulation of coral debris. The cay is relatively small, with an area of about 3.5 hectares, waters are calm and the snorkelling is AMAZING!!
Camping on then island is booked online $7.50 per person, toilets available, no showers, set up under a large tarp for an easier clean up, the Island is home to thousands of birds.
The main camp area is 450m from the lagoon but can be accessed by boat at high tide on a calm day.
You can book island transfers or visit by private boat.
