Necrom is the city-graveyard in Morrowind, where addon will take a place. Was implemendet in Arena in 1994. But probably still isn't related to Marvel - Necrom suits pretty well for a city of dead. NECROMancy, you know.
Great video! But I have to disagree on the point about Marvel. The etymology of the word necrom has its roots in the prefix "necro", which of course means death (it can also mean dead flesh). Necro derives from the ancient Greek "nekros", meaning dead body. Since Necrom is meant to be a city where dark elves bring their dead, I think ZOS wanted a word that would invoke the image of death, and the addition of the m at the end seems coincidental to me. I think both companies were deriving inspiration from the same roots, independently, and that neither intended to copy the other. Even so, it could be homage to the character, as the first mention of Necrom takes place in TES Arena, which was published in 1994, while the first appearance of Necrom as a Marvel character took place in 1992. It could be that a dev back then was a fan, and decided to use the name as a homage due to its fitting Etymology. If so, it seems that the current devs don't know or remember.
Actually, the "Braided Beard" mentions lots of their inspirations in the reveal. Of course, I know the etymology of the prefix "necro"...as well as "crux", "apocrypha" and "arcane". It seems sloppy to me however. Shouldn't Necrom be the ancestral home of the Necromancers? (not Arcanists) Wouldn't the name Arcana make more sense? I think they are recycling a lot of art from Morrowind.
Hi Marko hows it going? I remember when warden first came out and it was OP then but like arcanist it was hidden behind the chapter wall. Typical marketing ploy by zos that we have seen time and time again
As with all things ZoS, it will be tweaks galore for the forseeable future on this, which is understandable to a degree as, the real PTS is the live players and content creators who discover all the hidden combinations of skills / sets / builds. Having players going back to old zones to hunt down items for a spellbook wil be nice for us newer players as, very often, the older zones are quickly deserted leaving us feel like we are walking through a ghost town. This character seems to be interesting and I may just have to break my 'only have 1 character' rule to give this a try.
When reminiscing about the Oakensoul mythic, also remember how the Warden was OP in PvP when first released, until heavily nerfed in the next update. Just about every new class goes through this cycle, as the player base finds some set combo that works really well with the new class skills in specific situations that the devs might not have considered...
It's actually the content creators that find the loopholes that make certain combinations overpowered. I didn't write it into the script, (but I thought it) PvP was not mentioned even once, by anyone, in the global reveal. What does that say?
It's better for testing/data if content releases OP and generates content with everyone wanting it, rather than underpowered and it gets ignored and no one tests it except for very niche parts of the community.
I wonder if they’ll have certain upgrades for your tome like the really powerful onces or whatever locked behind vet trials you have to complete or something. Or maybe it’ll just be a boring mage guild book grind all over again.
@@ExplorationGamingESO Marco I'm just excited to go back to Necrom again in 30yrs since Elder scrolls I Arena, and going back to Aprocphia in 12 years. The overall experience gameplay quests spread throughout all the map locations, and I might be lost in Aprocphia
If the card game played heavily like Magic The Gathering and you built the custom deck fully just for your use, I would be playing that so hardcore it would be insane. How they did it just was not what I wanted. Oaken Soul is still excellent and looking forward to the new class.

The only problem with ESO is zos Im so tired of nerfing and bug's I will never be able to have a build I enjoy because things keep getting changed

After a break from the disappointment of high isle. This new chapter in Necrom has me coming back too ESO yet again

no...new chapter perk. You'll have to buy Necrom...even if you have ESO plus. (unless you want to wait a year)
