You are legal but it is very difficult to make appointment in AIMA these days that's why lawyer can help because it's your right. If you want to do by yourself then keep calling them and send email and see if AIMA response.

Bank Balance Certificate may not be sufficient , better to show statment and certificate if you opened account recently or something but the puropose is to see you have that amount to survive here and not just borrowed from someone temporary.
