all of steven reineke's songs have a relation to each other. this one sounds like where eagles soar. where eagles soar has a little goddess of fire in it. goddess of fire has a LOT of witch and the saint in it.
I've played this WITH Steven conducting us. It was amazing. However, he also told us the key to this piece: The 'chorus' was created by simply putting notes to "Shoreview Minnesota". So, every time I hear this song now, I have to say that along to the chorus.
Loved playing this piece. We played it for graduation, where twelve of my old band director's seniors were leaving. It's a beautiful piece. Those flute runs are a bitch though.
The Shoreview Northern Lights Variety Band (which is a concert band despite the long name), guest conducted by the composer, gave the premiere performance on April 21, 2007. I assisted with the video production for local public access television, bringing the concert to viewers throughout the northern suburbs of the Twin Cities. It was an outstanding performance!
Wir spielen es auf unserem diesjährigen Konzert (wenn es nicht wegen corona mal wieder ausfällt.) ich spiele querflöte, aber die 2. Stimme. Macht trotz den vielen Läufen echt viel Spaß zum spielen
How sad! Back to fluff and fanfare for the composer in this 2007 piece, after he had made great strides toward maturing with "Goddess of Fire" in 2006. I will still hope for something new and better in "Symphony Number 1" (also 2007).
they all sound the same but still great he jus uses the same idea in his songs just mixes and changes things around like most song writers i think sometimes that is just what can make his song sound amazing no matter what
I LOVED playing this. It was my favorite. I play bass clarinet and it was so fun to play!
Saryna Patel i am playing cornet and this is my favorite son now 🌹
