Thank you for your review. I live in a small mountain community and the nearest place to smell the pricier scents is about 2 hrs away (one way). I do enjoy Black Opium; which I can find locally. I’ve been intrigued by BC540 but it’s much to pricey to blind purchase. I got a few Creed samples & those didn’t sit well on me.

I’m not in the young demographic either!!! 🥰🥰Unfortunately IG does not prioritize posts (they love reels) so I didn’t get the exposure I would have liked…but I kind of nagged my followers 3 separate times to squeak out these results. If you go to my page…it’s the post that has a football field on it. The only thing ppl cant see are the replies to my story
I don’t like BR 540 either. To me it has a salty smell that I don’t like. Maybe it’s my nose! My daughter is obsessed with it so maybe I’ll get used to it.😄

The Bond no. 9 fragrance is probably very popular but not on my radar. And Babycat is a unicorn! Everyone wants to to try it but impossible to find in The US and even in Europe is not widely available.

Not sure if u saw my last comment on my decant of Babycat, it came from Scents Event, Not Scents Gift where you got your samples, etc. I still think it's impossible that Babycat could be this bad. That was fun, making us guess😁. I think I had 3, including Baccarat, which I STILL really enjoy. I also enjoy the extrait, but I must say GF Gold stole my heart/nose🥰. I started with the smallest bottle, got the 2.4, and the largest is now on the way. It's just beautiful to me. From this list, I also had Born in Roma, Delina Exclusif, and Angel's Share, which I oddly don't wear much at all. Nice video.😊

Hi Chris! I haven't tried Gris Charnel but my favorite fig fragrance is Fig Infusion by Essential Parfums. It has, imo, the perfect combo of the essence of the fruit and the leaves of the fig tree, combined with black tea, freesia, mandarin, clementine and orange blossom. I have to try Gris Charnel now, I'm very intrigued! Love the earrings, are they turquoise?
I agree. There wasn’t one offering from Essential Parfums I didn’t like. And I’m not sure if they are real turquoise. I love them and got them from TJ Maxx but authentic Native American turqouise is my favorite!!! I just love it.

Great list!! I'm surprised to see BR540 at the top of the list, but rightfully so. It's one of my favorites but I can't smell it on me past 15-20 mins. Weird thing is, others can smell it & I get compliments all the time when I wear it.

I smell the band aid vibe from BR 540. I’m so jealous of people who can smell it. It’s crazy! It smells so medicinal and woody to me. Then I just go noseblind. However I absolutely love cloud. It so sweet and creamy and airy. It’s crazy how our noses can work!

An up close spray of Black Orchid on the skin about 2 inches away is a no no for me. I end up with deep, earthy patchouli and truffle. A spray of Black Orchid about 8-12 inches away, misting it onto my skin brings out fruity, chocolate multidimensional notes. Honestly, how I spray this one matters! Like two different fragrances. Love it!

I just learned about mixing scents within the past year. My daughter said she’s been mixing scents for years now. 🤷🏽♀️. I’m 48. She’s 17.😆
I am going to look into niche fragrances as well as indie fragrances. I don’t mind smelling like other people, but I like the idea of no one else smelling like me. (Do I own unicorn Vans? Yes. Does anyone else I know wear them? No. That’s what I want. Something that no one else has.)
I’m not into designer scents, yet. I’m so glad that you mentioned decanted fragrances. I didn’t know they existed until I watched one of your videos. I’m glad you mentioned places where I can find discontinued scents. Atelier Cologne no longer sells in the states.😢. I was able to find Vanilla Intensee online.👏🏽

I feel like I have heard about most perfumes then every video..someone mentions one I’ve never tried or heard of…it’s a deep and fun (and expensive) rabbit hole! 😂😂 So IG is a place I’ve leaned about tons of Indie houses! Chris Collins, Maya Njie, Kimberly New York, and Pink MahogHany (personal fav as she’s also a Texan) are just a few of the Black owned houses out there. Also I just learned of Mmsai fragrances on IG. Many of these small houses do not have the budget for marketing so it’s through word of mouth via frag heads over on IG where these brands can get noticed, so lovely you found my content and find my style to your liking. I was reading replies on a completely different type of video. A woman was saying that she likes to wear Paco Rabanne Ultra Violet on coffee dates. I don’t know if you’ve done a video on the best perfumes for daytime dates and the best perfumes for nighttime dates. If you haven’t, think of it as a free video idea.😆
@@ThePerfumeNest I just ordered a bottle of PinkMahoghany’s Pas Encore Nomme. It smells like pineapple cobbler to me. (I knew a lady who figured out how to make pineapple cobbler, so it is a thing.). My daughter and I weren’t fans of Le Minimaliste #1. You can’t like everything.

Your earrings are gorgeous and love the updo! I guessed about 4/5 of these due to my ever growing love of fragrance but I only own Donna born in Roma which I really enjoy. I have Gris Charnel and the extrait as samples so curious to see which one appeals to me. Have you tried fig infusion by essential perfums? I bought that one this year and I think its gorgeous if you love fig.

this is such a fun video idea. I avoid IG these days because I don't like the way it swings through content and the whole 'reels' thing. I like my perfume content to be relaxing, not stimulating. 😅 I am going to guess as I watch your video...
10 - My guess is Donna Born in Roma? Yes! I got it... I don't own it. I have smelled it though and I know it's popular.
9 - My guess is hmmm... that's a lot of fragrance notes. I have no clue. Ahhh... I have wanted to sample Ylang In Gold but haven't yet done so.
8 - My guess is Twilly d'Hermes Eau Ginger. I am wrong... I haven't smelled L'Interdit Rouge. It really is popular though, so I shouldn't be surprised.
7 - No clue... That's a long list of notes for a 'vanilla' fragrance. That is a popular niche vanilla right now. Dama Bianca is one that would be interesting to sample.
6 - I think I can guess this one... I have seen that note list in a lot of recent videos. Baby Cat? Yes! I got it. It is available in Canada. I haven't blind bought it (yet). I do like a good vanilla and incense frag . So I may add it this year.
5 - I am going to guess Angel's Share. Yay! Another correct answer. I don't have it and got Hermes Ambre Narguile instead as it's softer but still long wearing.
4 - Delina for sure! Yay I got it. I have two of the three versions.
3 - Have I seen that note list 🤔guessing it's Ex Nihilo Lust in Paradise? Ahh.. So, so wrong. I think the Litchi threw me off. I haven't smelled Greewich Village or the wrong guess. But it is featured in videos frequently.
2 - It looks like Gris Charnel? Another correct answer. It really has become popular. I struggle with something in it. The base bugs my nose it's a touch scratchy. Smells good from a distance.

Babycat was a love when I smelled it first 🥰 love the texture and kind of fragrance, but the drydown becomes a smell like real fell or a fur coat 🤷♀️ to me. I'm not sure about it and it really lasts 🤗

Well …since I could see who responded ….i would say the vast vast VAST majority are not influencers…they just really love their perfume…that’s why they are active on IG….it’s a place where ppl who are kind of “obsessed” with fragrances gather and share experiences about their fragrances. Had I polled here….the results would 100% be different. More designers and more budget friendly options. Also….I could only use ppl who responded. I have over 32,000 followers on IG and I had to nag and beg ppl to vote (so maybe those who chose not to participate are more into designer and budget friendly fragrances). So as one would guess…those who were enthusiastic about voting are going to be those more “geeky” about their perfumes. Thanks for stopping by!! I don't understand how babycat has got into this list, it's been out of stock mostly! 🤣 Some of these fragrances are really really expensive, you wonder just how many people have even tried these... Also bond no 9 is not really a thing at all in the UK, but I know Greenwich village was a popular one in the US. I am completely unsurprised by Delina and br540 though. Gris charnel is one I really need to try, I only tried bouquet de hongrie and velvet tonka from bdk and neither were for me. Fab video 👌
😂Well as I say in the opening, ppl on IG….especially those who follow me , LOVE their niche fragrances. Ppl take perfumes VERY VERY seriously over there. I have zero doubt those who responded did so honestly (you should go take a look at the responses…they are funny). Just wait until the least favorite…..the only results you won’t be able to view are those who replied through my story. And 100% if I had taken a poll here on YT the results would be completely different…..not as many niche and more budget friendly options. In fact…maybe I’ll do that!! It’s so hard to get ppl to reply …I have over 32,000 followers on IG and I literally nagged for two weeks to get an “N” of 1000 (replies not 1000 ppl). 🤦♀️😂

OMG, I knew it! I am probably the last one to smell BR540 after years of hearing how wonderful it is. Well. Last week I headed to Nordstroms and they had it, but some guy was standing right smack in front of the bottles talking on his phone and not budging. I came back a few minutes later and he was still there but noticed I wanted to smell something and pointed to a bottle and said "that one is the best", Yep, it was, "The One". I sprayed it on a blotter, sniffed it aaannnnnndd.....I hated it! HAHAHAHA! I don't like Bond Greenwich Village or Cloud either so maybe it's a scent profile I just can't do. Soorrryyy :o) oxJulia

I will say I’m totally allergic to mixing politics /social issues and my little silly perfume channel. I started my channel to : get over my fear of public speaking and also as an outlet to spend time away from all things heated and divisive. It’s everywhere you turn. I’m very old school and should have been a lawyer because I’m a firm believer in due process….something which has completely disappeared in recent years. I had never heard of that suit so I actually did some digging and discovered the case you speak of …. the lawsuit was dropped. Not settled, but dropped. I checked several different sources. That doesn’t mean I’m picking sides. But if I don’t extend the benefit of the doubt to others, how can I expect others to extend that curtesy to me if/when I ever need it? If I had first hand knowledge of a company perpetuating something terrible like racism I would definitely not support an institution like that. But I’ve had ppl scold me for purchasing Guerlain perfumes (because they practice cultural appropriation), Tom Ford fragrances (because he apparently made unkind comments about ppl who are overweigh)…these are just a FEW examples. Also I work in health care and have seen many amazingly talented ppl get sued …only to have a lawsuit dropped and their lives and finances left in shambles defending a lawsuit that was unfounded and frivolous to begin with . That being said, I’m also a firm believer in spending one’s money (or not spending it) as one sees fit….no explanation needed cause perfumes are expensive! 😂

Yes it’s terrifying. Even worse it the association of guilt in perpetuity once someone gets sued and the lawsuit gets dropped. As if one is guilty forever just for being sued (as we know you can sue anyone for anything here). A neighbor back home in Houston was sued by a home invader because he slipped , fell and broke his arm during the process of a burglary! After he was caught he actually sued the homeowner. This is the state of our legal system here. 🤦♀️

People fall over themselves to get closer to see if I am the scent they are drawn to; yes, it’s me. I smell cheap and delicious. Help me 😂

Yes I was a tad surprised by the results but I think it’s because those that responded take perfumes very seriously…those who didn’t respond probably are just more lackadaisical about the whole process which no doubt skewed the results. I can't w BC 540. My nose smells it as a sour kitchen rag. Just awful to my nose. I think my nose doesn't smell jasmine the same way as your typical nose. 🙃
