  • My favorite tune from Sonic 3, it's about time I did a rearrange of this song! I hope you enjoy, and maybe you can guess why I like this so much...
I pulled out all the stops for this rearrange: the song loops, not twice, but thrice, and I faded out all the channels. This is probably my best rearrange I have made as of yet.
The music was made in FL Studio, with the help of the GennyFL plugin (the fade out effect was done through Audacity). The visuals were handled entirely with corrscope.
This song is on my SoundCloud. Here's a link to that:
    / hydrocity-zone-act-1-s...
I do not own the original song. I do, however, own this rearrange. If you'd like to use it for something, I don't mind, but be sure to ask first and give credit when it's due.

Did you use instruments from other Genesis games?

yes! actually, i don't think used any instruments/patches from Sonic 3 (the A part's lead sounds the same but it's actually a patch from the Special Stage in Sonic 1)

How'd you get the square waves/psgs to hold?

i assume you mean their release.
there's a setting in Genny's emulation of the SN7 chip that allows for release - i think i had it at a value of 7 or 8

@@jtg55 What if you don't have the chip inserted? What do you do then?

      huh?
if you're talking about using an actual sega genesis board, i have no idea, i don't use the real thing

@@jtg55 You don't use the actual Gennyfl or you don't use the chip? Which one is it?

i just said i don't use the real thing - the sega genesis' sound chips. i know there's a way you _can_ with gennyfl, but i don't do that. i don't even own an actual sega genesis.
your second comment confused me; there's no context to it. what do you mean by "what if you don't have the chip inserted"? inserted into what?
