    Really enjoy your class specific videos.
    What's the chance that you can lay out your spell line up, hot button line up?
    It would be very helpful and compliment your videos.
    Or maybe you have a site where you break it down?

      Thanks. I wish I did have a site. I know I did a video on my shaman setup, but I'm always making changes. Let me explain my spells first, then I'll do a separate reply for some hot button line up info.
      My first two spells are Wintry Gift and Spiritual Squall. Then the 115 and 110 Reckless spells (can mem up to four reckless if needed-will always have a reckless ready), then I usually keep Recourse and Primoradial Intervention up (can drop to just recourse), then my 105 reckless (often swapped out), Dissident Roar (always), Recourse of Renewal, then I’m into my final four which will be variable (for example, sometimes I’ll go with single target unity for rebuffing the dead on raids). But if I’m DPS mode, it’ll be the two combination dots and two magic dots. Sometimes, I’ll drop renewal and through in a fifth disease dot. In this case, my line is Gift, Squall, Reckless, Reckless, Roar, Renewal, and Chaotic Poison, Pandemic, Curse, and Evil Eye. Next, I’ll go over my hot bars.

      In this video, I use a modified twist on what I posted in my previous shaman set up video. My goal is to cast via keyboard stuff without having to mouse around. I have nine hot bars, but only three matter much when actually in combat.
      HOT BAR NUMBER ONE is preprogrammed so you can trigger each button by hitting 1 through 0 and the - and equal sign. On that bar, I have the following:
      1. Single Target Malaise (AA); 2. Single Target Slow (AA); 3. Chaotic Poison (Spell 10); 4, Elkikatar’s Pandemic (Spell 11); 5. Marlek’s Curse; 6. Evil Eye; 7 Attack (social hotkey, /attack on and /pet attack); 8. Spire (AA); 9. Fleeting Spirits (Big Burn AA); 10. Spirit Call (AA); 11. Force Rejuv (AA, usually if I need my group spells refreshed); 12. Epic (social hotkey where I let group know I’m using epic so bard can coordinate but usually I coordinate with bard, and then /useitem).
      I pull by hitting the 1 and 2 keys and then I hit 7, which sends in my pet and causes me to attack. Then I’ll hit the 3, 4, 5, and 6 keys to dot up the mob as I can in between healing. But the 3, 4, 6, and 6 keys might be single target focus, a cure, or whatever depending on the needs of the mission. For 11, instead of Force Rejuv, I might drop the Glyph hot key in that slot and then I’ve got my burn line up ready to press.
      HOT BAR NUMBER TWO is how I cast most of my spells. Right now I have the Y key programmed to hit my twin cast nuke. The U key does squall. This is different than how I do my raid lineup. So, I have the following on HOT BAR NUMBER TWO:
      1. Wintry Gift (key bound to Y key); 2. Spiritual Squall (key bound to U key); 3. Reckless 1; 4. Reckless 2; 5. Reckless 3; 6. Jeweled Apothic Dragon Spine Hammer (50K instant heal) (3 through 6 are all key bound to the J key); 7. Recourse; 8. Intervention; 9. Soothsayer’s Intervention (AA); and 10. Chest Heal. (7 through 10 are all key bound to the K key).
      In this video I have the 11 and 12 spot taken up by Spirit Guardian and Union, but usually I put my all purpose cure in 11 and radiant cure in 12 (key bound to the L key).
      This means if I’m attacking, I’m hitting the 1 through 7 keys and if I’m healing I’m doing Y/U for twincast squall, hitting J for single target heals, and the K key to heal my group (or even just myself and my pet, because I don’t have to target myself, can stay on mob).
      I’ll do the 3rd Hot bar in the next post.

      HOT BAR NUMBER THREE tends to change as I drop stuff in there that I want readily available. This is the hot bar where I mouse around for the most part as with few exceptions it’s not key bound. In this video,
      HOTBAR NUMBER THREE is set up as follows:
      1 and two are specter and roar but that’s a mistake.
      3 and 4 are Guard Self (AA) and Call of the Ancients (AA).
      5 MGB’s Ancestral Aid and lets the shaman group knowing I did it so they don’t overwrite it.
      6 and 7 are virulent paralysis and spiritual rebuke, the root and boot AAs.
      8 is my Canni AA and I hit that religiously. I’ve a Gina Trigger that lets me know every time its ready.
      9. is my spiritual channeling AA and my emergency button in case I go OOM and canni is down.
      10 and 11 are key bound to the semicolon and are Specter and roar (I have a GINA trigger telling me when spectre fades and when roar pops).
      12 happens to be radiant cure, it gets moved to a key bound key (L) when I’m in an event where cures are relevant.
      HOT BAR NUMBER THREE is just so I know where important stuff that isn’t key bound is when I need to pop it.
      The other six hot bars are good to know and I go over them in my other video. If you have more questions, just ask.
      The key thing you can take from this is figure out a system that works for you and you can implement. Everyone has their own system and a shaman is such a versatile class there are a lot of ways to skin the cat.

    I am stuck trying to figure out a good box duo to play, 111 warrior with shaman or Bard ? Or a solid Molo set up, I have done a Beast lord to 115 (not capped ) but id like to do a bard or shaman . Which would you think is better ?

    • @Twelvestrings
      @Twelvestrings  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You could make either work, but I'd recommend shaman. Beastlord and bard both bring a lot to the table, but I think shaman for a duo I'd strongest.

    How often do you use your Sky Ring FD? Seems it could come in handy if you pulled an add here, esp since you said you can't root or root punt them. Also, have you tried sending in AA pet army and gate out if needed? 85 shaman here, thinking about returning to game, not sure if my tricks would still work at your level.
    EDIT: nevermind, I just read your detailed reply to Justin with your spell lineup. Very impressive, thanks for that. Looks like you don't keep gate up as mini self evac, I usually bound myself right outside a zone I was grinding in just for that purpose, might be an outdated technique. I need to do a lot of research on spells and zones and everything, so far behind.

    • @Twelvestrings
      @Twelvestrings  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      At 85, you'll have gate up as an AA. Also, can get Drunkard's Stein right now (anniversary), which is a fast port to POK and actually works better as an evac. If you don't have sky ring, there are FD potions you can make via alchemy.

    • @Twelvestrings
      @Twelvestrings  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I just logged onto EQ again after a more than 1-year break. The short answer is you either box (which I no longer do) or you joint any decent sized guild and put together groups. Hit missions and grind out content. Not I said, "Put together groups," the best way to progress in EQ is be the guy who says who wants to hit "X" and start snagging people. Good luck. I'm going to be leveling a toon again soon with my brother, so I'll be feeling the pain and may have some ideas.

    • @rathernotdisclose8064

      I've literally spent multiple days in a row attempting to form groups with no luck whatsoever. The game is just dead. I think multi-boxing is truly the only way. I'm not saying it doesn't EVER work to look for people but I think its ineffective enough that its fair to just call it pointless. @@Twelvestrings
