Thanks so much for visiting The Alna Store in this episode! We have long been visitors to the beautiful state of Maine ('94) and have recently become owners of a small condo near Sunday River. I knew I was going there soon so I made a note in my phone of the name and address of this little store and was determined to include it in my visit along the coast for a few days during my next trip. I was very pleased to be rewarded with one of the best meals I've had in a long while. Definitely the best I had on this vacation, and that's saying something for I ate out a lot, not wanting to cook for just one on my solo journeying. Whether or not this chef wins the very coveted James Beard award, will not matter in the least to me, or anyone in these parts I imagine, because they know how lucky they are! Actually the locals are probably hoping the secret doesn't get out because that will bring the crowds and noise that naturally follows that sort of award winner.

My family and I, as well as all my siblings, all travel to Maine quite often each year, year round, but I am not sure of the locations the crew is visiting during the episodes. This map insert makes a lot of sense in a number of ways. Please keep adding this on each episode & venture. And, will we be in Maine this year, Yes! Rangeley this winter and Winter Harbor this Summer.
