@@WealthClub Quite. Unfortunately, EIS funds have a very mixed track record (to be charitable). In my experience, when they perform particularly badly, some are more forthcoming in owning the failures than others. You will rightly conclude that this outfit has fallen short of expectations in more than one respect. If I am able to highlight the caveat emptor message, that can only be a good thing. Tax deductions are all very well but, if funds perform as badly as a number in the sector have done, the tax deductions are cold comfort for investors. Conclusion: put your hard-earned cash in a decent tracker - paying tax on capital gains is a far preferable to carrying forward losses.
