This dispatcher is bad ass! I always love listening to him because he is always so cool and always seems to get good ass shit no matter what zone he works. His voice is awesome and he definitely knows how to take control of the radio and emergency. Nice work dispatcher and CPD! Awesome work man...
I would have made sure that the moment 10-1 was called, an ambulance should have been dispatched, with only a minute that the wrong house number was incorrect.
As soon as the 10-1 is called and units are flooding in, the dispatcher should tell units to leave a path for the ambulance to get to the scene. PD is famous for blocking the entire street full cars.
CPD is also famous for beating the crap out of suspects. I hope this offender who shot that officer had access to a good attorney and was transported to a far away Chicago Police district.
One of the extremely few examples of Chicago police and good communications. It's usually a mess. You can never tell who the heck he talking. Is it the dispatcher? Supervisor? Who? This you can sometimes tell what is going on.

10-1 normally means bad signal. But I guess in Chicago it means either officer down or officer involved shooting.
Police emergency
It means officer needs assistance.
In Chicago, a 10-1 means an officer needs assistance and only used in the most serious of situations.
