For the NVIDIA users, turn off AMD fidelity in reshade and increase sharpness manualy in NVIDIA control panel natively. It helps with FPS, also if its only a few percent.
th-cam.com/video/5lMLtkOw-L0/w-d-xo.html I made this tutorial that might help. Check out my latest video for an updated reshade file. If you are using low quality cars and tracks, it's gonna look like shit. Make sure you use some of the newer dlc cars and find quality tracks or use the dlc tracks in rF2.
Tnx for the sunny preset. For night time maybe you want to use the paid tracks, like Leman/sebring/nurburgring or spa. If you want free, you can use zandvoort 2021 road course made by stuio 397.
Hi excellent work. Well done..!!! This has made my rf2 look very real life and made the game beautiful and more visually engaging to play. I do need help with 2 settings for my personal taste: 1. How do I make the black part of the trees and other darker parts/objects in the track just a bit brighter/the overall filter effect i just want to make it a tiny bit brighter if I'm able to explain myself well. 2. Also how can I make the color levels just a tiny bit less? Once I press Home button and get the Reshade menu which sliders do I need to adjust to effect the above 2 changes? Thanks.
Everyone's monitor calibrations are going to look a bit different, so it's hard to tell you exactly what to change. I would find the effects that I have enabled, and mess around with some of the sliders already enabled. I can't remember exactly what this reshade file has (I'm away from my computer), but Curves.fx might be your best bet, or anything with HDR on it. For color levels, I think you are talking about saturation. You can find a saturation slider somewhere in ReShade; again away from my computer at the moment. Hope that helps.
I lose about 7-10 FPS. rFactor2 FPS really depends on which track you are using. The best way to improve your FPS is to move the MSAA to 2x or 4x, and change the post processing to medium. In fact, this entire video was shot with medium processing and 4x MSSA. I have a 1070ti.
@@vrj0 With ReShade it's 60-62FPS, without it's about 68-70. I'm also running a 144hz monitor/1440p. My 1070ti can't push any more frames out. 😆 Looking to get a 3070 this summer.
Im just getting into rF2 so thx for these

Nice! Great job!!!
I appreciate it Ronnie!
How do you get RF2 looking this good, shaders or not? When I use it it looks like I'm transported back to the '90's.

Found the sunny preset cheers, Would you be interested in a TV camera sunny preset?

Is-it possible to set transparency of the two side windows ?
Great looks, thx!
I`m new to Reshade`: so I load the .ini file in the home area of Reshade and then...? Sorry for the dumb question!
I hope this helps: th-cam.com/video/5lMLtkOw-L0/w-d-xo.html
Heyy, when i turn this reshade preset on it turn the game really greyish and doesnt look like yours. Do you know what Im doing wrong?
What version of ReShade are you using? Did you install all of the filters when you installed ReShade? That's what I would check.
@@abluelark im using 5.0.2, and I am pretty sure I installed all the filters
@@per19963 hmmm 🤔 I'm not sure then. What track and weather are you using? I'll try to replicate
@@abluelark Any track with sunny conditions. I will reinstall and try again

nice tip! Question though: Why does studio397 not implement this reshade as default or extra option? Is there a technical reason for it?
I think it comes down to performance. Although I think increasing the sharpness in the graphics engine would go a long way.
Good morning, a question does it affect the performance of the equipment? I have an i7 with an Nvidia 2060. It looks great. Great job. Greetings.

Check out my channel! I released a guide just before this video.
Yup. Nice Channel thanks for Sharing the vids
Does it affect the FPS?
A little! 7-10 FPS.
@@abluelark Thank you for the quick reply. 😎
