Felt like he got into his own song for like the 5 seconds in the build up that he actually let the emotions show through. Where was that build up to breakdown or atleast the resolution of that build up :(
Pretty much had the exact reaction/thoughts when checking it out, looking forward to hearing more from Drag Me Out though they're definitely some talented dudes.
Denis is an amazing singer, but I didn’t care for this too much. Didn’t really make me feel anything like ‘The Black’ did. Personally I think Denis was much better with Asking Alexandria and I hate the fact that he left. Not knocking on Danny though, he’s good too.
Yeah I mean Danny is good, but I feel like I would have liked another Denis album better than the self titled album... I hate the fact that many bands are " progressing" by losing their signature and turning to pop.
Uhhhh hello lmAo make me famous ? That was his best work yet it was immature, but tbh felt like he cared about it more than the garbage he puts out now, including his AA stint.
Denis abandoned the band, he didn't answer their emails or anything. They had to look for Danny as a desesperate measure because they were left without a vocalist.
3:40 "There we go!" and the moment dies as quickly as it began... Haha I was right there with you.. Why can't Oli or Denis just GET INTO it when the song is already calling for it?
Not really a fan of this. I mean it's not a bad song but I liked him more in Asking Alexandria. He has crazy good screams and he's letting them go to waste.
Nik Nocturnal All Of these Metalcore bands are going fucking soft and BMTH started the trend, first them...Then Asking Alexandria...Memphis May Fire...Now this...ughhh
“A while” is a huge understatement. He’s been teasing new music for around 2 years, to the point where his fan base got tired and stopped following him. Nobody likes a person who doesn’t commit and keep their word. If someone says they’re releasing new music this year, and as the months pass and the end of the year approaches nothing new is out, and then they change their statement to something like “new music next year!”, people are going to get disappointed.
I actually liked that they used the instrumental at the end - added a little interest, in my opinion anyway, to a pretty dull song. Then again, I thought the vocals in the chorus were not catchy at all, though the chord sequence was good. Verses also just felt like filler (to me), which doesn’t really work when the chorus isn’t that great. What almost sounded like a pre-chorus was the only bit I found good, wish they’d developed it
The instrumental at the end would've worked for me a bit better if he even just said a couple words, not saying the whole chorus lines. To really make it sound like they're ending the song
They recorded the song before the fifth AA album came out. I think they just both took influences from that’s the spirit and used similar patterns and synths.
I honestly loved how there was no chorus or vocals at the end cause it was different and I loved the intro so much it was nice to hear it again by itself
To the style of Drag Me Out: Denis is done with heavy music. Yes, he is an incredible screamer but he stated it now multiple times - he is no longer into heavy music. If you check his social media you will find out that nowadays he is mostly into pop/rock or alternative but also into today’s rap scene and a lot of ambient dreamy sounds. His taste in music changed a lot and he stated in an interview a year ago or so that this project won’t be heavy or include screams. Denis came up with the idea of this project while hanging with his friend (the bassist - Easy Target on Instagram) and recording some demos that’s what I guess and I think he presented the idea of that sound to stas and Chris so yeah they definitely have a huge influence on the music especially stas but at the end of the day (that’s my guess) Denis has got his own vision for this project: creating multiple influenced alternative rock and you can realize that if you check some of the leaked demos. None of them are actually heavy but they have a huge TTS vibe including other experimental elements especially some heavy electronic instruments. I still think that there might be one or two more or less heavier songs in the future but I guess we’ll see. Good video and reaction though. I still think that the structure is pretty cool because they already brought the chorus for the third time just after the bridge but in a softer and more ambient based way so then kicking in with the intro again was really cool to hear, at least for me. :)
Hann Yes I did catch that on Instagram! I just hope that it keeps a hint of this alternative or trancy vibe in some way. I don’t really want a generic core record just because iTs HeAvY. But anyway I’m stoked for it!!
@@Klangdelta1 they personally I liked this album cus it has this like "electro-neo-metal" vibe in it, but I'd like more heavy and ORIGINAL stuff, anyway, I trust in dennis and their band mates to bring us some good shit
The thing about Denis is that he’s a star. He will ALWAYS hold weight in the industry. Look at how many fucking bands the dudes created/ been in, and is still doing it. He has the look, the charisma, and the talent. He’ll always be valuable to a label.
I hope Denis and all the band watched this, because it's a really good criticism, I liked his vision and agree with some points. ♡ 2nd Drag Me Out album is coming, Denis said exactly "this is going to be heavy as shit", I hope it does and I'm excited to see their development. Also Denis is going to release solo songs.
I’m late but I’ve known him from catcowmilkyway. And hearing his screams were weird at first. All I’ve known was his singing. So just hearing his singing is nostalgic!
This is only the start. Denis never disappoints. I believe they’re going to have some very heavy hitters. I love this song, but his voice has so much more to it that I want to hear.
I feel like you should do a cover of this song, Nik. 🤘 I expected Denis to scream a little bit more, and the clean vocals and last chorus not having vocals made me feel off. 😅 I'm used to Denis' screams in Asking Alexandria, and Down & Dirty. The instrumental is perfect. And I still think it feels like a Bring Me the Horizon-esque band. 🤔
I shouldn't say that Denis got famous cause of his screams, in the start of his career in MMF I think he did a pretty good job in the cleans and that's what I like more in his sing. Of course he's really good with screams but I don't think he want this for his career anymore. Just judging that he doesn't wanna to fuck his voice.
Instrumental is dope, hope to see an ACTUAL full album this time...
Those are some big expectations Nik...we better pace the guy.
"Any screaming maybe?" -- Speaking my language haha!

Hey Nik, do Jinjer Perennial reaction!
In my opinion, it sounded JRock, especially the intro. Which is awesome! But I was expecting some heavy vocals again from Denis.

Hey Down and Dirty's vocalist
Yeah, hopefully this will be his ACTUAL permanent band for once
But not as talented as you and your band. I hope you will never stop screeming 😅

I think there is a bit of it in there, it's just very mild
It's like pop music... But then 'edgy'.
How long before he leaves this group?
He probably left when they finished the music video
Two singles
