But I found that my IBKR Long/Short Position Tool do not have a Order button just like you do.What is that i missing out? 1. Is that using IBKR Desktop or TradeView? 2. Is that a minimum funding requirement to trade Long/Short? 3. Or it has to do with my IBKR setup? Thank you.
A quick side note.. from what I’ve noticed with order blocks, If a retracement occurs., as long as price is closing above 50% of the OB, the trade will still be valid.

order blocks work very well if used correctly! they are not magic blocks lol but this has helped me take off! my problem before was having very tight stop losses. using an order blocks helps give your trade some room and still have proper risk management in place. great video !!

The reason the stock price comes back to retest a price level. Is the Market Makers/ bankers are coming back for the liquidity. They are coming back for those traders stop orders that are entering on the break out. The stock price will not go or continue on on which ever direction until the bankers have all the shares they need to sell back to us on their next move.

Why are you entering into the trade before the full candle closes?? On the bearish example around the 14 min & 44 sec timestamp… you entered into the trade 3 minutes into the 10 minute trading interval. If the 10 min candle hadn’t fully closed yet, how could you confidently enter the trade there when it still had time where it could break and close into the order block? Are you only goin off of a 1 minute interval? Or 5? Like … I’m trying to understand how and why it doesn’t seem as consistent as to when it’s okay to enter. Yes, that was absolutely weak price action on that particular candle but it was only 1 candle out of potentially 10 that could theoretically shoot through the order block. Can you provide some clarification

so in the last example you enter the trade at $222.11 and exit at $223.56, it looks like you earned $1,780 off a $1,000 trade but the stock price only went up by $1.45 .. shouldn't you have earned $1,450? what am I missing here? trying to work out this 2R multiple thing ..

I have a question about market structure. On 1 hour NQ chart, Oct 23rd we made a lower low but went on to make a higher high instead of lower high. Same thing Oct 31st. So would you see those instances as back to back break of structure?

That won't be a good idea. Heikin Ashi can work with some strategies but not ones where you are looking for break and retest entries at certain levels the reason why is because these candles smooth price out also it gives the average movement of a candle based on the last it's not exact.
Don’t use Heiki Nashua candles unless you fully understand market structure and price action. Heiki Anashi simply smooth out to show you the average price of each candle, nothing is related to price action.
What platform are you using? Looking at any of the stocks I see you using never looks the same on tradingview. They are always choppy. Most of the time there arent even candles just fine lines.
Do you just buy at the close of the candle and put your stops and profit targets in after? On the third example the next candle moved significantly to the upside, half of the entire profit range. I don't know how you could possibly have time to map out and place the order on a 1 minute time frame without altering the results you've shown. Show how you do it live.
But good for beginners to know. The concepts are valid and help to advance the knowledge of beginners, like all his videos. Tony is the best teacher i have ever seen, and every trader should learn first before attempting to trade. Understanding the markets and how trends occur is vital.
Hi, the example at 12:32 isn't clear. There was no clear trend before the break and you marked the first up-close candle and not the last up-close candle in a downtrend. Can you make it more clear if you pick the first or last up-close in a downtrend and vice-versa ? Thanks

Not Tony, but maybe I can help. I replayed the day. Start off by drawing 5m opening range (147.16, 146.01). It breaks the range on the 9:35a (eastern) with a strong bullish candle, so look to market an OB on the last red candle. Tony talked about just marking the top wick, but it is small so I drew my OB to be ~half the body of the red candle at 9:32. OB range was from 146.91 - 146.61. I entered on the 9:50 candle (though I probably should have waited). SL was 146.26 (last red candle), target was 149.00 for a 2.58 RR. Exited at 10:26

The 5 minute retest is perfect for beginners. And the previous day high&low retest is also easy to perform and recognize entries. Knowledge is still power.

I personally use the 5min strategy on Nas. Works quite well on it. Last months I got the setup 12 times, won 11 lost 1. Was my best month of the year.
