Every day is a blessing . At 56 years old I had a heart attack then bypass surgery , before I left hospital found out I have diabetes, five years later I had bladder cancer I'm now 69 years old bought my first boat ready to try out your way of fishing , I love catfishing I have all my life now my turn so I'm gonna love taking the next 50 years in treating myself to the fun part of life lol , enjoy Justin life can go on a long time yet !
Glad to see this is a catfish video. Let’s gooo!!! Although I enjoy ultralight and carp fishing. I came to this channel originally to see these monsters you are catching.
JUST WANTED TO DROP BY THIS MOST RECENT VIDEO! To say HAPPY THANKSGIVING BUD! I’m grateful and thankful for your insight and honesty. Thanks for the time you put into your work to give us the best experience while teaching us along the way. Hope you’re having a blessed day with those that are close to you. God speed and prayers your direction bro.
Great video, as always. I think if I were to do the tournaments, I'd go bare bones and just wing it. That could be some of the best fun, in my mind. Not to mention the bragging rights. If I had a kayak, I'd definitely go for it. Have a blessed night, Justin.
Enjoy your life while 41:07 you can be ready to meet your maker money ant everything you can’t take it with you when you go so leave it up fish and be happy
I have eliminated sugar, most processed foods, take supplements, watch my diet, exercise, keep stress and negative emotions resolved. I hope and pray to die healthy Lord willing 🙏 keep up the good work. Praying for Uncle Joey. Beautiful yellow flathead wow 🎉
Thanks for another great video man. Congrats on the big flathead. Getting filthy and humid here just as you guys are getting cold and grey. Even though the nights are sweaty it's nice to hit the beaches for a dawn session in shorts. Plenty of fish around too. Hope you have a great trip to Florida.
Ok two things, one I wish I could fish as much as you, and two I wish my life were as interesting as yours also lol but all levity aside great job man very entertaining.
Justin …. It’s Tuesday 26th and just got to the housatonic River here in Connecticut. It’s in the high 40s and no wind. Lines in the water and watching your video …. 👮🏻♂️ 🎣🎣🎣🎣
Looks like those shimano reels have been holding up pretty good I looked back, been using them since February 2022. The Golly Whooper and that reel makes a good combo.
About a half mile downstream from there is some sort of massive snag right on the breakline. Last month, it claimed multiple dragging rigs, a planer board, a rod and reel, and a Scotty rod holder from me. If you find it, its mine. 😊
I go by this, ski- best piece, pja, 2nd best piece, ck tail piece. Ive had the best luck off the piece after the head. Ive been down in my back sciatic nerve is KILLIN ME!!
I have the same kayak non-pdl and the only critique I have is the weight capacity and the weird two hatches in the center of the kayak. Takes up to room when standing up and takes away from weight capacity. Now you got me worried about my seat next! Then you brought up the autopilot and issues with the motor. We just had someone’s motor go out last week on the water. I love Old Town kayaks still but the XTR is looking pretty nice lol.
I don’t recommend waders for kayak fishing. If you go overboard, it will be more difficult to climb back in when they fill up with water. I wear true timber fishing bibs with layers of clothes underneath.
The first leg of the trip went well. I caught a bunch of peacock bass and huge bluegill. The wind has made things difficult since I got to the keys but it’s supposed to get better later in the week.
@KayakCatfish I've been watching the wind Forcast down there, to me it looks beautiful after tomorrow. What is your wind speed comfort zone according to weather service wind speeds? 10 mph+ i stay on the bank but this is my first season in a kayak
Y’all should try Canadian geese they are easier for your first waterfowl at least that’s our thoughts we just got into goose hunting ourselves this year
Hey Justin, why not make the tournament trail less stressful and fair for everyone depending on their location and have a separate tournament Trail for the East of the Mississippi and West of the Mississippi. Then at the end of the season the top anglers from each side have a championship tournament for the Angler of the year?

@ 😂 I found ol BOTTLE ROCKET BORTZ! On TikTok. I swear, I can’t even type Ryan. My fingers only type Bottle Rocket Bortz.

Thanks Teri! I might end up doing it

Thank you Joey! It is much appreciated.
Hope you have a great thanksgiving too.
Nice catch. I got one that size a week ago. It's an awesome feeling to get such a big fish

Great video bro
Thank you for sharing your fishing wisdom. You have helped me catch fish and have more confidence with catfish
Thanks Michael!
I would love to get out there with you sometime. I'm not far from E TN. Should have my new yak soon. I tend to have the same basic mentality.

The Shimano reels have held up really well. They still feel and sound new.
new boat

Haha! I believe I know that snag you are referring too and it has claimed some of my rigs in the past too lol.

Hope you get to feeling better soon.
Aren't you on the Tennessee River
Delaware River
Let's catch some catfish 🎉
Heck yeah Keith!
@KayakCatfish you caught me with the thumbnail.
What fish finder are you using? I am interested in a basic model that can use map cards. Thanks and as always really enjoy your posts
Raymarine Dragonfly 5
Hey Justin, hope you have a nice Thanksgiving.😊

A good or bad life is all in the attitude😊
Well, grandma's can sew it. We can't! We are catfishermen!😂
Hey if it aint broke don't mess with it . Catch fish the fun way.
Fist pump achen!!!
Any flathead makes a trip a success.
Thanks Randy!
Question. When you kayak fish in cold weather, what waders do you use. I would love to get a pair
I don’t recommend waders for kayak fishing. If you go overboard, it will be more difficult to climb back in when they fill up with water. I wear true timber fishing bibs with layers of clothes underneath.
Hows Florida going?
The first leg of the trip went well.
I caught a bunch of peacock bass and huge bluegill. The wind has made things difficult since I got to the keys but it’s supposed to get better later in the week.

Anything over 10mph is tough to deal with on a kayak in the ocean. Especially when you are having to fight the current too.
What kind of line do you us. What is the name of it you catch big fish and it holdens up very well.
Catfish Sumo mono line. 40lb test
Need to keep a small carp or buffalo for bait next time🤔
and you know, a 80,000$ catfish boat would be used. 😮😂
Y’all should try Canadian geese they are easier for your first waterfowl at least that’s our thoughts we just got into goose hunting ourselves this year
Dang that's a big flathead

I don’t run the tournaments so it isn’t my call
True, just thinking out loud haha
I heard on Colin Cowherd it was in the contract Mike was not allowed to throw an upper cut. That makes it a gimmick not a fight.
All of those silly stipulations should have been disclosed beforehand.
🎣🎣🎣🎣🎣👍👍👍👍👍
I think night fishing trips are the best ...guess it dont make you enough money...but
🙂🎣
Why put a jig on line after bait
I have been averaging around 100 extra fish per year on the fly down below the cut bait.
Do you ever keep them
Mine it's definitely not a kayak, it's a mini plastic pontoon boat. Sure aint paddling it don't even want to peddel it.
