He's wrong about tattoos. It might be in the Law, but Leviticus 19:28 explicitly says not to be marked, or tattooed. Paul was working using the Torah, never discounted the Law, and never advocated being WILFULLY tattooed. There is NOTHING in the New Testament to say it is okay to do it. If you come to Christ AFTER the fact, and we know that there is nothing He can't use to glorify Himself, but there is no reason to think that Jesus, as G-d being the same YESTERDAY, TODAY AND FOREVER, would be happy for you to even get a Scripture tattooed on your arm. I have known elderly people to get one, their first, but have no reason to do so, except for 'fun'. I think, like sexual immorality, it is sinning, as Paul says, against your own body. It is the same as getting studs, rings and such 'just because', as a Christian. That is a personal thing, tbf. However, it is down to you to explain at your Bema Seat judgment as to why you did so - you might lose some blessing because of some misguided sense of witness or 'just to be cool' in some people's eyes. Unless the Holy Spirit EXPLICITLY okays it, and I don't expect He would, don't do it. I wouldn't exclude you, but I would be sad for you, as much as if you decided to take the fake 'vax'; but I can't answer for you. But if a Pastor tells you it's okay, S/HE will have to! Not a comfortable place to be. The ONLY mark you need on you is the Holy Spirit.
