Wow. I am from Delhi and I recently shifted to London in Nov 2023. Me and my wife pay 2500 GBP/month(2.5 Lakh INR) just as rent for a 2BHK flat not including Heating, Electricity, council tax. I have been to Glasgow its a good city. A home for 125K is a friggin steal. I am sure Pahji you are living in outskirts or far off Glasgow otherwise I cant beleive how affordable Glasgow seems

The purchasing power of 2000 pounds in glasgow is same as purchasing power of Rs. 15000 in India a month. Converting the same to ruppee will obviously show higher amount as ruppee is weaker than pound. Its not worth migrating to a different country for a mere 2000-3000 pound as the purchasing power remains the same, harsh climate and no social life acts as a negative factor.

Paji move to Coventry Midlands, your costs are higher in Scotland compared, the weather is better than Northern England, jobs are more available, large punjabi communities, Birmingham International Airport nearby, great rail, roads and coach travel network. Just rent your house 😅

I'm a third generation mumbaikar and I have my cousins who live in UK, US, NZ and they all agree that it's better to live in Mumbai when they compare it over all.

i am genuinely curious why do so many punjabis/indians want to move to other countries that are nice instead of making their own country better? it is obvious that whereever there is huge immigration of punjabis those places become worse. just look at canada. i think we should just travel to these beautiful places. also, i am punjabi. no hate. just wondering.
After travelling to all these countries I have seen more non Punjabi immigrants than Punjabis. I think they just come looking for greener pastures. And many of them are successful too.
