    None of these rumours are a threat to Tesla. What is a threat to Tesla and long term shareholders is their issues around the service experience which seems to be struggling to keep up with the volume of their vehicles that are finding customers, the good bit, and the experience those customers are getting when they need service, the less good bit.
    Tesla have built an amazing reputation, but the support element seems to be lagging, and if a reputation for poor service gains traction, that could damage the company over a long time. Needs a bit of effort I think

      You said yourself. "What IS a threat"
      Then later ... "SEEMS to be lagging"
      "Don't believe what you read in the papers" (or hear on the internet?)

      I'll almost guarantee that the first independent article will rate them 2-3 stars max.

    Bad rumors are a bad deal. But Elon deserves some responsibility. He announces stuff but it takes forever to go into production. There is a complete cottage industry of Tesla and SpaceX channels, including Eclectic Viking. All needing content to stay afloat. A recipe for over zealous reporting. Not a judgement, just an observation. I check every day to see the news, so I guess I'm an enabler.

    • @_PatrickO
      @_PatrickO 2 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      "takes forever". Tesla is setting records with speed to market. You realize traditional auto keeps the same platform for 7-10 years and tries to reuse as many older existing components as possible. They are super slow at making new models.
      The cybertruck is lightning fast even with the delays. 99% of early models never even get made by legacy auto. They call them concept cars so you know it will never get made.

      @@petersmangalisongoma2013 the robot is worrying. Links Musk to the move to replace people with, cheaper in the long term robots (less requirements than humans). Although there is the flip side, that if we have robots, we don't need as large of a mass public transport environment to the same degree. 2-3 tons of car to shift humans to the shops/work, etc. Robots can run there & back...

      @@_PatrickO ICE longer life cycle is mainly due to return on investment for legacy. Hence their looonnnggg renewal cycles vs rapid development iteration to improve the product for the Tesla consumer. This also reduces Tesla's manufactuting costs, negating the (supposed) benefits of "return on investment" thinking.
      Also the Legacy ICE makers are basically designers & parts assemblers using standard 3rd party tech & parts. The electronics usually only differ in the casings & connectors. Tesla, being more vertically integrated, can dump a unit & manufacture a cheaper, better part, once they've recouped costs to the point the REPLACEMENT will benefit them in comparison, NOT once the product itself has paid for itself. As in: the savings benefits outweigh the costs not yet recouped. To the point that things like floorspace & production line time savings can be applied elsewhere. Legacy ICE are handcuffed because until suppliers provide replacements, they're stuck with the industry standard parts & their cost/pricing/profit structure (& parts specs & performance).
      Also LICE tend to do development in blocks & mainly for new models. Tesla development is constant & iterative. Hence total model renewal is rare, but updates are frequent (LICE $50 billion for a new model!!).

    • @_PatrickO
      @_PatrickO 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@alexmanojlovic768 EVs have a much longer return on investment than ICE. EVs are constantly updating technology despite this. Legacy auto has no valid excuse for stagnating on improving ICE cars.

    210Wh/kg !! That's really great news. But you state that is "the smartest move that Tesla has made in the past 5 years". But that's not a Tesla move. It's innovation spearheaded by China and Japan's top scientists combine with there mass production manufacturing capability. In 2014 we had 130kg/Wh from the best LiFePO4 manufactures and today we use cells is mass production by CATL at around 185Wh/kg. These cells offer around 6000 cycles at 80% DoD at 25 Deg C with around 80% capacity retention at C/2. This is what Tesla use in their Model 3 in China. This is CATL's innovation not Tesla or Panasonic. I don't see this jump to 210Wh/kg as a Tesla innovation.

    I heard that New Teslas are going to be powered by crystals supplied by a company in India. Each crystal is charged with cosmic energy through the process of a dedicated team of 100 people chanting for a week directly at the crystal and this will power the car for a year .. at which point the soul of each crystal will die and need to be replaced.
    The new power source will be a feature of the new Tesla models Model-Why and Model-Because.
    The big news for the new models is that the dubious self drive feature is now redundant as all travel is purely transcendental ... with you new Tesla getting all of its instructions directly from a swami in an offshore call centre. This will be a pay for subscription service but the swami will also be ready to give you international cricket updates.

    I think it is unlikely we'll see a Model # (25k) car in the US for 2022. Possible near the end of 2022 in China, but low probability. Tesla has too many pre-orders for S,X,3,Y as it stands now. I believe the Y will be their primary focus, then 3, then Cyber Truck. I would guess we'll have a real clue about the new model closer to the end of 2022 and a lot will depend on the ramp of Berlin and Austin.
    It is easy to read into speculations and in some cases find coincidental info seeming to confirm speculations about Tesla, like the fake Cyber Truck news. It's happened often in the past and will likely happen in the future as well. For me, it is almost a part of the "charm" of Tesla. Both haters and lovers of Tesla want to know, and speculation is part of the game.

    Dont really care about Tesla. Care about the overall amount of cars coming, so prices can become lower due to competition. I know we here in Denmark have several brands. But when they dont have cars, and they still are too expensive compared to Ice cars, then only a few get them.

    • @FlipBoxStudio
      @FlipBoxStudio 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Tesla is basically the biggest driver of EV competition. Without their industry disrupting efforts there wouldn’t even be an EV transition as we know it. So yes, you should definitely care about Tesla even if you don’t want to buy into their products. Not everybody likes Apple and their products either, but they are the arguably the biggest player in the mobile electronics market and without them you might instead be crying about how expensive Motorola and Blackberry phones are.

    • @Klausryan

      @@FlipBoxStudio They have made disruption for electric cars. so far we agree and I applaud. Its not a particular good car. FSD is still a scam. The service is horrible, but I root for everyone that changes and fast. But yes Apple is not worth the price either. I don't have an iPhone due to that. Motorola and blackberry is dead here. But until the prices come down from every one, they are all more or less pointless for mass markets. For America it might be different. But America is not relevant to a European ( North)

    I would like to see the new compact made in CyberTruck style but using flat aluminium panels. Perhaps something like 2mm thick for strength and rigidity. The finish could be a clear coat over brushed metal and there’s no risk of galvanic corrosion against the underbody castings.

      75% reduction in equipment install costs, footprint & massive energy savings during manufacture are nothing?
      Removing the harmful solvents & water use to a fraction is nothing?
      MegaCastings, Structural battery & going from 18660/2170 & the reduction in casing materials (& energy consumption) by going 4680 is nothing?
