Here's some advice for cannon phase: 1. ALWAYS hold the normal attack for as long as you can, there is a much stronger stage 2 that can only be reached after holding it for a certain amount of time. You have to anticipate the attacks and walk out of the way rather than dodge. 2. After the fragments rush towards you, they can be damaged by the much stronger melee attacks until they teleport away. 3. Since you should be holding the normals for as long as possible, only use the special shot if you've already stopped holding normal, e.g. got hit, used melee, dodged, needed to heal/revive others. 4. The cannon scales off of weapon ATK and potency floor alone, actual potency, weapon potentials, and fixas do not matter here. So you can have a potency floor-specific gear to increase your damage output like I did here. 5. When damaged, a fragment's crystal can sometimes glow to show the weakpoint, if you can spot it, target it down asap. 6. Always prioritize killing the enemy that spawns in the middle of the arena to gain special shots and reduce number of attacks.
@@MadGear199X Yes, the cannon is proven to have a 1.3x Floor multiplier built in, so as long as you can reach 76.9% floor normally, you will have 100% floor in the cannon phase.
i gave up on ngs because of this boss. Sometimes you have wierd hitboxes that makes your melee hits not connect. Sometimes you get double shoted, just because you timed a counter for a milli second wrong 2:59. The canon phase is sometimes bugged, so you just stand there for 5 sec and die because of it. And all that for just sliver of a chance to get a weapon that might gets replaced in 4-5 months, where by the time easier obtainable alternatives comes around. anyways gg and congratz on your kill
As someone who's pretty bad at the game, I personally did not struggle with this boss much. Its very straight forward. Werey ou trying to hit its arm while its swinging? its the body that you should try to aim for. There's a reason why the target marker focuses the body and not the limb. The cannon phase is just a thing of getting used to how swiftly you can dodge with it while doing as much dps as possible without interruption. In other words, skill issue.
Lol as a slayer I feel your pain at 3:00 You mistimed it by half a second missing parry and then you get one shot, happened to me more often then i'd like to count.
Yep, the cannon takes into account your ATK and potency floor, but no other augments. So it's a damage increase to switch to a set with high potency floor.
this was some insane gameplay! but Iv got to know? how does Ra sub help your slayer main? (I want to learn and get better) Edit: for sub Iv tried to use Br , Fi , Bo , Te for slayer main
Here's the reason why Ra sub is the best damage subclass in this fight: In part 2 of phase 1, every player must split up to each take care of one fragment (puppet) on their own. This means only one fragment can be blighted at a time. But with Ranger skill "Blight Rounds Self Benefit" (works on subclass), everyone in the group can get +15% Damage (+25% for the Ranger themselves). This works because each fragment counts as "part" of Dalion, so the skill comes into effect.
This is an easy fight, but too bad a lot of players can seem to learn it at the rate you can despite that. The state of ngs players is down horrendous lol
@@percyjackson9727 This is an argument I see parroted by people all the time but most of what you just said is asspull and HMZK wasn't solely responsible for like, most of that stuff. Also, hold your praise for YSOK who did nothing more than help push pso2 towards being an unbalanced mess, but he was also the item director for NGS up until recently. So all the drop and item reward decisions that were made had to go through him at some point. It's really easy to pin all the things you don't like on one person (even if most of it is bullshit). Classic case of 'devs bad, I could do better!'. Bitch, no you couldn't lol.
u are wrong.... Cannon not count at normal attack If boring ez way your not play this quest This quest is boring for me but i play too much for this quest coz i smell money and i'm rich in the game and real life again
That's definitely a clutch win right there, I was sweating from looking both at your timer and it's healthbar
Appreciate this! I don't think I was maximizing in the cannon phase. I saw you using specials when the fragments shift across the board. I'll try it!

Is it true the cannon has 30% floor built in? So if I'm over 70% floor on my regular gear I'm good to go?

@@zeokenx2 Our team cleared with about 160% potency and 60% floor, probably on the low end to clear this quest.

Just skip this content then? No need to give up on the whole game when something easier obtainable comes around, as you said yourself.
Dont forget when you revive you cannot physically parry so if it winds up into that 3 hit combo you just end up dead again.
Bye bye Baso there's always fort night lol😂😂😂😂😂😂
in a game with fairly lenient counters you should get killed quickly if you mistime your counters on the hardest content

All that and no 11 star weapon. Sheesh. Anyway, congratulations.

Quest is just parry for 6 minutes and hold normal attack for 7 minutes lmao. Looks super boring.
