    This is one of the best Cosmos tutorials out there. Thank you!

    Thanks for the video! I was thinking about putting together a simillary-constructed setup. My question is - why put the COSMOS at separate bus and not just use the AUX loops? Set cosmos at 100% wet mix and use the AUX knobs to balance the signal

      Good questions... the AUX route is defo possible too. For me the challenge was to keep the volumes the same of when a sound went through the cosmos or not, and then for me hitting a button while performing was/is easier than turning an aux knob... That was my thinking, but more ways lead to Rome :) Thanks for watching!

    After almost a year of waiting, my cosmos is coming in next week. This is very similar to what I've been envisioning for how it will fit in my performance setup.
    Great stuff! I'd love to watch a full set of you performing with this! :D

      Cool! Hope you will enjoy it as much as I do :) Yeah, after Summer, I am gonna do more long content, maybe even stream... that would be cool

      Another great module to have that's similar to this is the Hologram Microcosm. I'm planning on getting both of them.

    I see that you hold the reverb algorithm for a good while on the first part of the video. I wonder if you encountered that after a while the reverb goes up drastically in pitch and how do you handle that. It has been recognized by Soma in the forums as part of how the algorithm works, so I'm wondering how others are working around that since it's an issue if you want to hold it for long. It only happens in the reverb algorithms by the way. Cheers

      I haven't come across this phenomenon yet... perhaps I work around this?

    Great job and thanks for sharing your concept and workflow. How did you do the routing to the cosmos with just the mute button? What does it exactly do on the mackie mixer?

    • @SupahDupah
      @SupahDupah  ปีที่แล้ว

      The muted channels are outputed as a seperate bus on the back (3&4) and that output goes into the cosmos!

    Do you have glitches audio with the cosmos when you are using reverse for instance?
    On the other hand, what cosmos firmware are you using ?

    • @SupahDupah
      @SupahDupah  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      In this video I use the original firmware... and no glitches outside of a noticeable short fade in/out when switching programs... and when you switch to a longer delay, there will be some cosmic interpretation of the second part, but I consider that a feature :)

    • @inanesilence
      @inanesilence 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@SupahDupah yes I agree, maybe with the reverse button is different. I don’t like that “glitch”.
      By the way, are you sending audio Signal from the mackie sends? I have a similar scenario, I want to record different instruments individually, all of them centralized from my mixer

    • @SupahDupah
      @SupahDupah  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@inanesilence No, I don't use the sends here... I use the alternative outs bus (3-4, all channels with the mute button activated) to route to the cosmos ins. And the Cosmos outs are routed back to the Mixer. So I can literally play something or say/sing... and momentary press the mute button to only have that part go through the Cosmos without any audio interruption. Hope this helps!

    • @inanesilence
      @inanesilence 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@SupahDupah I suppose is other way perfectly useful. I am still experimenting different connections and sending from each channel different gains is more or less working for me.. of that way I have connected other gear out of the box..

    • @SupahDupah
      @SupahDupah  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@inanesilence Yeah, with sends is also very good yes. In a different way performative as well... For the stories I wanted a switch (the mute button) to be able to have easy access to route 1 word to the cosmos during a story... but sens lets you have more fine control and do fades and stuff. Let me know what your final config is!
