I've been going through the videos this morning and all I can say is wow. Still thinking about this can be used in my own workflow but it's incredibly impressive and expansive.
It's been doing my head in lately as to whether to use Descript for editing and paying additional for a separate recording host - but looks like with the addition of Squadcast I may have a one-stop solution!
I always enjoy presentations from Andrew because he is straight to the point with essential, useful and helpful information. But I have to say that this video was unusually quiet (I really had to turn up my speakers for this one) and so maybe it could have used a little more audio editing (normalize, etc). While Im at it I'll say that I really like Ramdy's videos as well because of his sense of humour. Other than that, Descript just keeps getting better and Im looking forward to trying out remote recording.
I am SO SO SO excited for this!! Descript is an amazing tool & this is one of the things I have suggested. So glad to see this and can't wait to do an interview and use it in action!!
I just tried this, and the interview that I recorded on SquadCast says it should be in Descript but it's NOT. It says it's in my drive, but I've been refreshing for 10 minutes and nothings there. All the files are recorded and saved on Squadcast, but the integration that's presented in the video where after the recording it just takes you to edit in Descript, is NOT working as of right now for me. Is anyone else having luck with this? 🤯

This is awesome news for remote interviews. I also want to say that, this is July now, and I got the update where you can do scene stepping. I used it to make sone scenes and pull in some prerecorded clips, narrate over those clips and could easily edit and make my video. It was lovely ❤🤯💕. Thanks so much.

This looks like a great idea, but I'd like to hear how the audio from someone's phone actually sounds, not just be told it sounds better through decript (which for the record I love and can't live without). Is there a link to something like that?

I love Descript for my podcasts. Good that you do something on the recording front end. But you forget the sharing back end of the creation chain for other languages than English: I dislike very much that I can't replace the automatic German transcript (it is very bad) of the usually two German speakers on separate channels with the manually created transcript (which has much much higher quality). Please make German (and possibly other widely used languages) fully available - that is my top priority. So long Descript is just a crippled tool for me.
Please help me. I got a SquadCast account but do not know how to edit my audio recording using Descript. Can I edit using SquadCast or am I now forced to use Descript to edit my audio recordings?

@Descript is text to speech in different languages available? For example I have an English text and I want to transform it into speech and change the language to spanish, is that possible?
Unfortunately, Overdub only works with the English language. Multi-language support for Overdub is on our radar for the future, but it is not currently available. Apologies!

Does every participant in a call have to be a descript /SC member/Subscriber or is it only the presenter/Host you has to be the one?
Only the host needs to be a Descript/Squadcast subscriber! For your guests, you just send them a link to the recording studio, and you're good to go.
