      he (or she?) means the gravity equation rely´s in a misleaded interpretation of what gravity really is: the curvature os space time. The equation works (if you are at much lower speeds than light); but is not the best explanation of what gravity really is.

      I personally was on an altitude of 92,500 feet with a MIG-25. But I plan to go higher when the vehicles are ready to do so. These kind of flights representing nowadays the possibility to reach high altitude. Others will come in the next 10 years.

      World record of a jet turbined aircraft was done on Augsut 1, 1977 with 37.650m (123,523ft) in a MIG-25 JE-266M. Thats right. The flight altitude was reached in a parabolic flight path. This record is unbroken since then.

    A word in personal matter: Since 2 years, comments are increasing here from "flat earth believers". It doesn't make any sense to discuss with those people facts, science and physics and we will not respond to such requests or quotes anymore. Whether in our video descriptions neither via e-mails.
    We use for the production of this in cockpit videos GoPro Hero cameras. The reason GoPro videos have a slight fish-eye effect is due of the wide angle lens of the camera. It's actually called a barrel distortion which is a result to have a 170 degree lens. This curve/barrel distortion allows for the 170 ultra wide angle shots, and exactly these cameras are known and built for, and not for kidding around to implement a curvature effect of Earth's horizon.
    If you want to sponsor high expensive equipment like RED's Epic Dragon cameras with highly cinematographic lenses (what we use for some productions, but not for inflight cockpit flights with our adventurers), you are invited to do so but we would advise, to visit upfront the shop of RED to know about prices. ;)
    Same we have to say in regards about "flight altitude" or "where edge of space is starting". We know this all, we are working with this all the whole day since more than 15 years. This is not a hobby here, it still is business and this is widely to see. Our team of advisors are professional airline pilots, military pilots, cosmonauts and astronauts. We can't play around like others do. We have a mission to fulfill. Customer satisfactioin to 100%, and we do. And more than that.
    Also we will block user comments here who are not able to respect others or use a to strange vocabulary. And we do not speak here about the f-word. We do not like it in real to delete comments, but we would like to advise all to keep comments friendly to find a good way of respect in communication to each other.
    Thank you & have fun with our videos,
    your mission director of Space Affairs.

      +jay walker Because flat Earth believers kidding us the whole day and tell, we use this cameras to show that Earth has a curvature. In real Earth would be flat. This is the technical description from GoPro in regards of the fish eye lens. And since more than 500 years only mankind accepted that Earth is not flat. For this, we do not have to show any evidence. They should think what ever they want, up to them. Changed the words a little bit because people could implement that we know the truth, what is still out there. ;)

    • @jaywalker9985
      @jaywalker9985 9 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      ***** It still seems to me that your final conclusion is that the world is flat. Am I wrong? Do we want to talk like a bunch of attorney's? which is understandable if we are trying to avoid something from regular people or can you just say straight out. The truth will set you free.

    Ever since I was a kid, the MIG has been my favourite piece of engineering. The fact that an airplane this old can still hold its own, is a testament to its greatness. These airplanes can take off without worrying about little debris, unlike the American planes.

    Nice video. Back in my B-52 days, we never wanted to hear the sound of a Fulcrum radar on our headsets. It wasn't that we couldn't avoid them, but it was pretty darn hard and they were a real pain in the rear to get around. We respected the MIG-29 and considered it a very serious threat (along with the SU-27 and MIG-31).

    • @Space-Affairs
      @Space-Affairs  10 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for that you like it. The MIG-29, when used as a weapon, it's a dangerous tool. Also we here in Germany had received MIG's from the former Air Force of the GDR as the reunion of Germany was done. There was after it a squadron of MIG-29 based in Laage in Gemany, and the pilots who flown Phantoms flown also the MIG-29 then, and they never ever would let it go. A good friend is a former MIG-29 pilot and he said: forget all the other jets what are still available, the MIG-29 is very special and has superior. After the MIG-29 was "sold" to Poland, some were trained to fly the Eurofighter "Typhoon", and they never liked it, because they want to fly, and not to be controlled by a computer ....

      @@manospetridis1935 The Russians have been out of Afghanistan since 1990. They are also supporting the Syrian Army, not attacking them. So lets get the facts straight, America has been in Afghanistan since 2003 and using their jet fighters to hit the Taliban. America, along with it's allies, has been using their fighter jets to support the Syrian Rebels and the Kurd's. And the Americans are ramping up their spending on new nukes and weaponry to saber rattle at the Russians.

    • @BatMan-oe2gh
      @BatMan-oe2gh 5 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @Rara Neagra Well as the F-22 has not been in combat against the Mig-29, we dont really know do we! And America loses just as many jets as the Russians. Personally, I hope they never meet in combat, because that means we would be in WW3 and that would not be good at all. But please, stop making assumptions about what other countries equipment is like. The F-35 could be a disaster and an expensive one at that.

    Forgive me for being ignorant, but I though the engines needed the correct amount of oxygen to burn correctly, at that altitude the air would be so thin that combustion would seem almost impossible. Again forgive me if I sound like a noob but I'm not to up on aeronautics. Great vid! And much love =)

    • @Space-Affairs
      @Space-Affairs  10 ปีที่แล้ว +10

      Jet engines need air. Of course. And yes, the air will be compressed in a special chamber. The world record of altitude with a jet engined aircraft was made in 1977 with a special MIG-25, nearby 38 kilometers on altitude during a zoom climb. Nobody beat this record since then. Visit www.fai.org for more information.

    @Roope The Guy: This all depends on. To own a military jet aircraft isn't easy, if it is not a L-39 Albatros. You need a pilot who has the type rating for such a jet aircraft, but you can fly it on private bases. Must be unarmed of course, any military items has to be out of the plane. A MIG-29 would be a really demanding challenge to own. Such jet can't be flown by anybody. There is still one in US, was now on the market for to be sold, not sure if they sold it meanwhile. Was the only private used MIG-29 outside of Russia. Price was at $3,8 million. To expensive to maintain it. It wasn't built for to transport people.

The maintenance is around 4000-6000 USD per flight, and after 200hours of flying, the engines need inspection, and parts replacement, which will cost enough to buy a new engine. Too bad that taking such a ride with the MiG-29 is so expensive, and most of us cannot afford it. Having only that view from 18.000-19.000 meters will definitely change your perspective about life and I thinking it would make you appreciate all those things that you have.
