I grew up hearing almost the same kind of tune created by the elders in beating the Kulintangan in Penampang District. Other districts have their own tune. I never heard of a song that this is based on, BUT instead a composer from Kg Duvanson recorded a song instead using the tune of this Kulintangan. Search for title NOGUNGAN DUVANSON in youtube
@@OzzieWozzieOriginal the budget 😁😁😁no budget untuk travel . miss everything there, friends that become family and foods and place that become my second home❤️
Sya di Philippines sudah...belajar dari tadika sampai darjah lima sana St. Paul Kolopis dulu..then after that i came back to sabah after i finish my study in Philippines...then after 6 years balik Kampung (Philippines)
Thats why they are veterans, lucky I managed to record this because this group is now gone, just a group of friends that gathers at the Tamu. Now, there is no Tamu and a few of members have already gone to the next life.
Thanks Boss, definitely as they are veterans who have been doing that nearly all their lives. They should be tutoring the youths on the finesse of gong classic gong techniques
DEFINITELY boss, but these are the responsibility of parents, cultural organisation such as KDCA, USDA, KSS and lots and lots of other small NGO. Even school students from villages have their own teams and they have competitions during Harvest festivals or Kaamatan. For Penampang type of gong music, I myself had been invited to judge the student levels. Gong music is now performed in regular competitions and the rules are quite challenging. The points are given for beginnng, body and conclusion of the beating, the dress and costumes as well as discipline of the band members. In some private kadazan language classes, gong beating music becomes part of the curriculum
Eric....this is my channel, and did I say this is an english class? I was responding to my previous subscriber asking if her bahasa was good. NOW explain yourself before I ban you and report your channel or name to youtube. Also if I choose to give an English Class in my channel, thats my business, not yours. You have 24 hours to defend yourself
Budney westerner whitearse, these are senior citizens, not stoned as their is no hashish in this country. They play their gong music, something which a whitearse like you have no culture. So I give you 24 hours to explain yourself before I report you as a troll and be banned for life by youtube who can track you down.
Anyone knows what's the original song of the kulintangan?
