Sabara Jaboticaba | Cambuca Jaboitcaba | Plinia edulis | Plinia cauliflora Update 2021

Hi everyone, in this video, we will be doing an update on our Jaboticabas at the fruit forest in Punta Gorda, Florida. At my farm, I want to harvest jaboticaba all my life so I decided to plant various trees around the farm in the ground.
In Florida jaboticaba is able to grow in both pot and in-ground - but Jaboticaba overall as a tree does very well and produces heavy in the pot - but I like to connect it to the earth.
The two varieties of Jaboticaba I have are Plinia eduis (Cambuca) & Plinia cauliflora (Sabara). Both of these varieties are known for flowering very long to start fruiting but since I am young (23) I don't care how long it will take to flower we will plant it and wait regardless.
Jaboticabas are known as the 'Brazilian tree grape' because of how it fruits off the trunk of the tree which is a beautiful thing to see and witness.
Jaboticabas taste to me like a tropical grape, it has a very complex taste profile as it is both sweet and spicy but still maintains a grape consistency with a small seed in the middle.

No tengo roja, yo también yo compre una roja y después alguien me dijo que era Sabara negro, pero necesito comprar roja , y híbrida.

La mia la compre en fruitscapesllc.com/fruit-trees/ estoy seguro que es roja pero cuando la pasas del pote al suelo cambia un poco, no compre sabara porque se demora mucho en dar frutos, alli en el vivero las probe las dos y me gusto mas la roja. Saludos

Those were jaboticabas from farm in Colombia over 100 year old there was no reds only Sabara
