I agree with you on that point of upgrading. Most bikers upgrade due to peer pressure, which is affected when going on a group ride. The beginner feels frustrated when the bigger bikes leave him. That thing has never bothered me; in fact, I like it when they go past me at those speeds. An upgrade is a step at a time. Rushing might lead you to serious regrets.
Great video. Quite insightful for beginners like me. Quick question though...why is that Petanns lorry constantly driving ahead and reversing🤣🤣? It is very distracting
I did not buy my dream bike. But I bought a bike with only a good helmet, a pair of good gloves, nothing else. No insurance, no pants, boots or jacket... Things that messed my budget soon afterwards.
I'm a beginner rider and I still don't have any idea what my dream bike is. I'm enjoying riding off road trails at the moment and buying my gear first. I'm thinking of officially buying my first bike in 2026 after I have gotten enough experience riding. Good advice Meshach
Kweli kabisa 11:10 not all motorcyclist are friends. Mimi my bigger bike will be 400cc hizo za 1000cc na power zilonazo sitaki yanifike kama ya sammy na yule mwengine alofariki recently. RiP both. Najipenda kaka. 24:00 yes i learnt very well. Thank you
😂😂😂😂. Even me that bike is not my dream bike, I'm an Adv/touring rider. You're absolutely right, expensive bikes are also expensive to maintain and repair. Trying to keep up with more experienced riders is stupid. Riding above your skill level and over confidence is another mistake. I greatly believe that continuous intentional practice is necessary for all riders but more importantly beginners. Thanks for sharing, my question is, why don't riders take formal riding education serious?
This is very solid advice for riders whether beginners or experienced. I started riding in 2007 with a 100cc yamaha, the graduated to a 125cc Toyo the back to Yamaha 125cc. I took a break from 2011 - 2020, a whoopping 9 years hiatus. I came back into the scene with a TRK502 - 500cc. Rode it for 3years. I was looking to upgrade to a 800cc but couldn't get the right bike. I ended up with a V strom 1050xt. It was a good decision though, I still consider myself a mid skill rider and still learning. Heed to this advice and you will live to enjoy riding into the old age.
I bought a 2009 Harley Sportster 1200 and I usually rode on country roads, avoiding city traffic. I saw too many bikers getting killed when car drivers are not paying attention and getting hit from behind usually. Two years ago someone came up my driveway at night and stole it of course with only liability insurance. I'm looking for something I can take off road and still be street legal. I rode like everyone was trying to kill me and I feel like it helped me stay alive.
First, am so sorry about the harley. We have people with very sketchy behaviors all over the planet.. secondly, if you want to go offroad and also be on highways legally you need what we call dual sports the likes of kawasaki klr, suzuki dr etc
When I first got into this hobby I used to dream about Indian Scout Bobber. I couldn't stop thinking about how cool I would look riding that thing around Nairobi 😂. I later realized that it was one of the worst bikes anyone would buy to ride in Nairobi. It has very low ground clearance (any bump, regardless of how small, will scrape the hell out of its belly), and that V-twin emits so much heat that it becomes unbearable to the rider when stuck in traffic. As he has said, let your dreams remain in your dreams until you are mature enough know more about bikes 😂😂
Sometimes you can get better riding jackets and pants in the mitumba market than new Chinese stuff that has no safety rating. However, make sure you get gear that has safety rating and is not worn out.
Im a beginner and was hoping to get started with voge 525!! Just like you mentioned in your previous video, i love cruising and not a top speed person. What's your take sir??
What's the problem with the Voge 525? The Voge 300DS is too heavy at 170kg with 26hp. The payload is 155kg, impossible for 2 people with luggage. The small single cylinder always has to perform at its maximum. The 525 is a real motorcycle, you can have fun with it and it also has reserve power when needed. I feel safer and better to have a motorcycle that always has reserve power for overtaking or when the power is needed on a hill. And that's where a two-cylinder with 48hp and almost 50Nm has a clear advantage. With the 300DS you have to change gears a lot more, with the 535 you can drive a lot comfortably in sixth gear.

The opening got me, "Buying a bike of your dreams as your first bike is like marrying a woman of your dreams "😂😂!
😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣🤝🤝🤝🤝
"marrying a woman of your dreams" - 🤔But 33 years and 8 months later, we're still great 😊
I did not buy my dream bike.

Hi Meshack, I bought the tekken 200 last week. The bike is awesome, really enjoying it. I just love how I get noticed everywhere I pass by lol.
😂😂😂😂. Even me that bike is not my dream bike, I'm an Adv/touring rider.

😂😂😂😂 dont make that mistake
I've commited all those crimes. Got a 400cc monster. I should have just started with a simple 200cc and below
Depends on how you are handling it so far, you can forget the mistake and start to do things the right way

Or get mpya at 590k.

I appreciate the advice,is a yamaha r3 best for beginner bike(300cc)? any other bike would you suggest for beginners?
R3 can work as a beginner bike but with a bit of caution because it is a powerful 300cc
thanks mesh
You are welcome
this video should have 100million views please pure fact
Thank you.. we can make it happen bro, we can make it happen

Exactly my point
I went to buy a riding jacket i had no idea which to choose but i see meshack always wears a canvas jacket. So i bought one😂
🤣🤣🤣😂😂 i wear adventure gears not sport.. you cant ride in the jungles with leather you will boil up
Can you kindly do a review on that taro, have not seen a person do a good review on it, kindly, thanks
I have videos of it coming up
Im a beginner and was hoping to get started with voge 525!! Just like you mentioned in your previous video, i love cruising and not a top speed person. What's your take sir??
I would suggest you start with voge 300 DS, It will be more forgiving to a beginner than the 525.. its lighter in weight too and shorter

If it will take a short time to outgrow a 250cc, would it not be better to start with a 400cc.
What do you consider outgrowing? What is outgrowing a bike?
Nangoja ile ya mombasa mzee😂
🤣🤣🤝🤝🤝🤝
My first bike was 929cc then upgraded to 1000cc
