Let me explain, mp3 128kbps, or even 320kbps doesn't have a cut on the low frecuencies, the cut is on the high frequencies, like at 20kHz. Even the lossless formats like Flac (which is the usual format for streaming services who offer high quality sound) doesn't add low frequencies, just keep the 20kHz+, an even the Hi-res formarts doesn't add low frequencies.

I really thought it was a box when it was released 😭. I was so confused when I saw how few the inclusions are, then I realized it wasn't a box lol. Anyways, J-Hope worked really hard for this album so it's nice to support him too through buying his album!
I like the design of this digital album but if the intent is to be more environmentally friendly, the best way to reduce the amount of waste from kpop albums isn't getting rid of photobooks or CDs, the best method would be to have one version of an album with only one photobook version and no random pc pulls....the random pulls are why people buy so many copies that end up being thrown away...they could still do the random pulls for fans by just selling these digital album versions that use less materials but I think having one full physical album would be nice for fans who like collecting them for reasons other than pcs...
aside pc, fans bought lot of albums to win fan meeting afaik, less variation of album means more thrown away album if the buyer won't bother to sell the album or not a lot of 2nd hand buyer. It's like bought 60 pcs, with 4 vers. means only need 15 buyers while 1 vers means need 60 buyers to sell (if 1 person buy 1 2nd hand album)

I am still gutted we never got a photobook 😭 I've actually started making my own and will hopefully get it printed soon. The concept pictures are too beautiful to not have in print
I would have very much preferred a normal photobook album because as unique as it is, its really fragile and small, doesnt fit anywhere on my album shelf, and i wanted a photobook and cd too for my cd player, but im glad that he's getting the recognition he deserves.

*hoseok is literally a musical genius. listeneing to this album from track 1 to 10, i can easily say, jack in the box makes it to top 10 best albums ever made. it's like listening to a new side of him. it's kinda like a story/ the depth of the music is insane. it is a darker concept but it gives hope too. i'm so proud of him. this album looks so pretty too. i would totally recommend watching the vlive hobi did, the interview on bangtantv, and IU's pallete interview to know in depth about his concept for the album. i'm actually in tears.*
The concept is unique and amazing. But i'd love to see at least 1 small booklet with photos. For its price it should have at least one small photobook with at leaat few pages like 10-15 pages would be fine for me. I ordered mine and still waiting and i was thinking how would I display it, it's so cute and great for displays. I just wish it would be thicker and have pages of photos of the MVs or jhope while creating the music or whatever. I just love BTS' photobooks.

I'm really disappointed by the lack of photobook for this album. It feels very lack luster without it. I wish they had done two versions, one like this (as it is quite innovative and unique) and an additional one for a more traditional album release
I agree. As an album collector, the lack of physical album left me flat. The music itself is amazing, just like it's creator. But Hybe really screwed Hobi on this whole "Weverse Album" bullsh!t. I would have gladly spent more to get a physical album. Plus I have an older car that I can download music onto by playing a cd once in it, but can't get my phone to connect, which is primarily where I listen to music. So I will rarely even get to enjoy it. So now my question is, will they do the same for the other 6 members solo albums? Or will they use Hobi as a guinea pig and then give all the others a physical album? Either way Hybe screwed Hobi big time.

Meu menino se esforçou muito e você pode ver isso nas músicas e no álbum dele, tanto carinho para com nós armys, o álbum é lindo! I know most of us were surprised that there was no CD version. The design of the Weverse QR Code album is super cute though. According to HYBE executives they did not create a CD for j-hope because they wanted to gain ESG (Environmental Social Governmental) points for the corporation which is a shame. However, I did order and receive my Jack in the Box vinyls!!!
