    This is my dream car, hopefully I can snag one when I can afford it, not too many for sale in the U.S. Would love to see more lotus vids!

    Good Video! something to consider about the Filter K&N changed the design on the Hp 2009 a number of years back, the new design is Made in mexico vs made in USA and it has slightly more restrictive internals so it allows for less oil flow which could be detrimental depending on your use for your elige. The Mobil1 M1-209 is the exact same as the old K&N better designed filters just without the nice to use nut on the bottom of the K&N. Keep making good resources like this, always nice to have in our little community!

    A small electric ratchet makes short work of the engine service panel bolts. Since there's eleven of them it really makes a difference, I use one I got from home depot since 2006. This way the only one's left are the 2 main bolts in the middle to remove manually.

      @@goretro77hobbies I've searched for car shows, but it's hard to find when they are going to happen around here lately. I'm dying to go to one because there was none last year! We can certainly meet up at a show sometime!

    Beautiful car mate and 2zz is awesome! Are you happy? Any issues?

      Thank you so much! Luckily in the past 10 years I've only ever had to replace the coolant tank. The car still is a blast to drive and I love it everyday! I'm actually moving across country to a warmer climate and it's the only car I'm bringing with!

      @craigdaniel6423 nice mate! I have too 2zz but in corolla Ts. You know why some 2zz have wiped intake camshaft? Maybe need valve adjustment service?

      @@DimoS... I have had my 111R for 7 years now and not a lick of problems. I do all my oil changes, gear oil, air filter, MAF.

      @patrickvanrinsvelt4466 that's good mate, good maintenance is everything! But some people they have wiped intake camshaft with excellent maintenance too. That's weird. Also I have seen many 2zzge engines with over 250.000 miles and inside is like new without repairs and issues

    This is pretty light as far as a tutorial goes. Run the engine first for a while to get the oil hot and circulating. I then take the opportunity to degrease the back. They drain. Make sure to fill the filter before you attach it to the sandwich plate. Also rub a bit of oil on the filter gasket. I am a Mobil1 fan. 0w40 + M1-209.

    As I watch several of these videos on changing the oil. it looks like the angle of the pan drain is uphill leaving a fair amount of old oil in the car. would you suggest lifting the front as well to ensure getting all the oil out of the pan?

      @craigdaniel6423  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It must be camera tricks! Lol I have the car positioned so that the drain plug is downhill, but something good to bring up for any watchers!

    Do you leave scratch/ aerodynamic sheet off while you give it a run around .so you can check for any leaks then put it on when your happy ?? Thankyou

    • @craigdaniel6423
      @craigdaniel6423  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @lesliegee3621 i did leave off the sheet at the very beginning maybe only once or twice, but once I got the amount and the system down I just put it back on after refilling. I've done it so many times at that point
