I have been a Christian for over many, many years, but didn't truly repent until about three months ago. I was a habitual sinner on two fonts for over 14 years I would say. One day, God put it into my mind I HAD to stop these two sinningactivites. I said that no matter what happens I will NOT do these two habitual sins ever again. God did it all, I did nothing. I would currently wish to die than do these two sins ever again.

Wow, once before becoming a Christian I remember telling a therapist "I wanted to change" and he asked what about myself did I want to change and I answered EVERYTHING. Never realised that a person can get to a point where they cannot change. Thank you God for saving my life.
I believe if they get to the point they cannot change is because they dont want to change, like being reprobate, I believe you wouldnt care at all and would have no fear of hell or anything, so if you do have that fear of hell, there's still hope cause you dont wanna go there if you do and that makes you wanna change. I've been struggling with sin all my life and have tried to repent, only to fall back again. God came to me when I was a little boy and when I become older, I wanted to become a priest and then I was introduced to the evil things of this world my mindset changed. Only now I've just realised I need to actively repent but I feel that I've past the point of salvation already. God gave me chances but I ignored them in past.
I'm a catholic but I've been doing a lot of research from different perspectives to understand the concept of how to truly repent. Right now I'm on a path of changing my mind and changing my life around by surrendering to Christ.
If you're thinking about surrender to Jesus, I seriously doubt it's too late for you. The fact that you are burdened to repent and that you are burdened to surrender suggest that the Holy Spirit is at work in you, which I would take as an invitation from God. He is slow to anger and abounding in love. About the time I posted this video, I was also wondering if it was too late. I found out I wasn't! God received me back just like the prodigal.

If we think we are safe christian already, just because our parent are christians, we are still a sinners and yet to be saved by the true living Son of God. In early days, I got the impression of myself that I am saved, but how I know I am safe? Just because I attended church several times that I am safe. It is all wrongs. I must had true relation with God and receive His salvation. Come to know more about Jesus Christ and why He was crucified on the cross and died for our sins. He died for our sins to save us, to prevent Satan, the devil from ruling our life with countless of torturings and miseries in hell fire. If you or lost souls beginning to realise our Lord Jesus died for our sins as He is the only way to save and redeem us, come to Lord Jesus Christ without being shy and felt bad of yourself. Accept Jesus Christ as your personal Saviour and Christ in your life. Pray to God that you want to become the child of God to Jesus. After accepting Lord Jesus, your life is new and would not be the same as your old days. To know more about Him, look for a church and seek the church counsellors to tell you more about Jesus Church. The good news is " But God shows his love for us that while we were yet still sinners Christ died for us." (Romans 5:8) Christ died for our sins. He was buried and rose on the 3rd day. This is the good news aka the gospel. If you believe the gospel you will be saved. Once you are his he will never forsake you and there will be no sin that he will not pardon. Psalm 103:12 "As far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us."

What he meant is that instead of totally repenting like going to his family he killed himself which is yet another sin... so he basically just felt so bad or guilty it caused him to sin more...

Say you repent, and you follow Jesus then later on in life something happens that so happens to be tragic. You're mad at God and stop following him for life, you turn your back on him. Therefore, you lose your salvation because you don't have the son, nor the Holy Ghost.

I have been a Christian for over many, many years, but didn't truly repent until about three months ago. I was a habitual sinner on two fonts for over 14 years I would say. One day, God put it into my mind I HAD to stop these two sinningactivites. I said that no matter what happens I will NOT do these two habitual sins ever again. God did it all, I did nothing. I would currently wish to die than do these two sins ever again.

Wow, once before becoming a Christian I remember telling a therapist "I wanted to change" and he asked what about myself did I want to change and I answered EVERYTHING. Never realised that a person can get to a point where they cannot change. Thank you God for saving my life.

I've been struggling with sin all my life and have tried to repent, only to fall back again. God came to me when I was a little boy and when I become older, I wanted to become a priest and then I was introduced to the evil things of this world my mindset changed. Only now I've just realised I need to actively repent but I feel that I've past the point of salvation already. God gave me chances but I ignored them in past.

I'm a catholic but I've been doing a lot of research from different perspectives to understand the concept of how to truly repent. Right now I'm on a path of changing my mind and changing my life around by surrendering to Christ.
If you're thinking about surrender to Jesus, I seriously doubt it's too late for you. The fact that you are burdened to repent and that you are burdened to surrender suggest that the Holy Spirit is at work in you, which I would take as an invitation from God. He is slow to anger and abounding in love. About the time I posted this video, I was also wondering if it was too late. I found out I wasn't! God received me back just like the prodigal.

What he meant is that instead of totally repenting like going to his family he killed himself which is yet another sin... so he basically just felt so bad or guilty it caused him to sin more...

I don't think this guy knows what he's talking about he is describing repentance which comes after a person is saved a person would never do these things unless he already the new the father about win against Fellowship with the father and the son and allowed to be controlled by him Flash so he squandered all that he had and when he came unto himself he said I've made a mistake and he knew that he was wrong so he knew there was only one place to go and it was back home where he had fellowship with the father so this is not an indication of salvation but it's an indication of true repentance back in fellowship with the father and the son so I hope this guy can understand the difference and what this Parable actually means

Nigh on every single post in regard to Salvation I read says, "REPENT OF YOUR SINS TO BE SAVED". How many times has one got to shout out, THAT'S NOT EVEN IN THE BIBLE....! Do people not even read their Bibles any more or something, do they just rely upon what someone else says, or have they just become deaf, dumb and blind. I just don't understand how a doctrine is made up from something not found in the Bible, I can understand Mormons making this doctrine stick, as the book of Mormon mentions, “REPENT OF YOUR SINS TO BE SAVED”. But the HOLY BIBLE DOES NOT......!

Anyway, enough of my rant, you have a free will to choose to be ignorant and also a free will to remove the scales from your eyes.
For, repent of sins to be in the bible, which it is not, it would have use entirely different Greek words, and such words together. As the erroneously understood and taught, “repentance”, has connotations of, a forsaking of sin, and such a forsaking of sin, would use an entirely different usage of words. I bid;
Forsake: ἐγκαταλείπω egkataleipō: abandon, to leave behind, utterly desert.
Sin: ἁμαρτία hamartia: to miss the mark, to err, be mistaken.
So then, to forsake sin would be rendered, “egkataleipō hamartia”, meaning to abandon and to leave behind any mistakes, err, and a missing the mark, that God has set us. And I hasten to add, this is impossible, hence Christ came and erred not, Imputing His perfect record to us mere mortals. This said, does this utter forsaking of sin sound like the gospel message that saves...?
To repent then, this would be, “metanoeō or metamelomai”, meaning to think afterwards, a change of mind and/or to care to change ones mind. This change of mind being in regard to...?
Lets examine, and let the scripture and the definitions speak for them selves, I will add either, “utterly forsake/forsakes all sin” or, “change/changes mind/a change of mind” in where repent/repents/repenteth goes. Also if you have time, take a close look at the context.
Luke 17:3: Take heed to yourselves: If thy brother trespass against thee, rebuke him; and if he utterly forsakes all sin, forgive him.....?
