Hunter is BY FAR the best method. You are worried about the health needed for missions? Don't be. Do the Paramedic at the beginning to get full max health. That combined with normal armour is more than enough for any mission up until Last Venturas and return to LS. After you are able to get the Hunter, do the Vigilante mission with it... You easily mow down any enemies (and are also very fast in doing so) and the wanted level that you get won't even bother you as you are in the air. And by this point, yes the extra armor increase will be good for the later missions and the gang territory conquer. Firefighter and Paramedic are suggested to be done at the beginning. Pimping can also be done in LS or better yet in San Fierro, this also applies to the Taxi missions because San Fierro is the smallest city of the 3. Vigilante is really only feasible at the near end game with the Hunter or the Rhino. The Hunter will save you a lot of gried and time. The Rhino in SA is not undestructible, after a ton of crashes with it, it will eventually start fuming and explode, or even some fire getting caught on it, plus the Rhino is slow as hell, the Hunter covers ground much faster and the Gun turret in it locks-on automatically and you can spam rockets infinitely. Still, up until level 12, the Rhino is more than capable without much trouble, it's just much slower than the Hunter.
Yeah with Hunter it just took me less than 15 mind to complete vigilante 12 to get 150hp armour. Like if you were one a Police Car it would minimum of 2+ hours
Rhino is fully indestructible but the Fire makes it destroy after crashing tons of FBI SUVs. You can survive with 2 fire if your tank catches 3rd fire you are wasted.
@@patient666zero I completed like 40 levels with hunter, because i saw it as the easiest way to make money, so i didn't stop until i reached 1 million dollars. I completed around 40 levels in like 15 minutes with 1 star wanted level and by the time i landed the hunter on the airfiled, that wanted level was gone. Doing vigilante mission with hunter is BY FAR the best option, it's not even close...
Oh yeah, this gets uploaded the day AFTER I spent 4 IRL hours constantly restarting cuz I wasn't able to keep the police off of me. The must frustrating restart was on level 12, I was down to the last car and caught it on fire. They all jumped out and nobody died from the explosion. I try to shoot them out from my cop car, and a cop busts me without me even knowing he was there!
@@skylerbrown6887 I started this mission before leaving the Los Santos area or like before big smoke betrays you and what I did is get a motorcycle cop vehicle then once you hit ten minutes just put it back on your garage so it can be 100% health and if you still have time just eat at the restaurant to get your health up and another tip If you have too many cops on you and you have over 9 minutes just get out the vehicle get in another car and go to the pay n spray

lol probably too redundant to give advice now since it's been 2 yrs, but if you ever replay the game and wanna do vigilante the easy way. Use the attack chopper helicopter in the las venturas airway, (that spawns only if you get all gold in flight school), those missions are both fun, easy, and in the air without police disturbance. And it's considered vigilante. Plus you make a sh*t ton of money which could be annoying if you wanna be making normal money, because the amount of money off of that is a bit OP
right so FINALLY finished this with the police bike in angel pine and all I have to say is that unless you want to spend countless hours hoping you don’t get bugged out with no new wave, kicked off and arrested randomly with only 1/2 stars, or God forbid losing your bike due to explosives/fire, then don’t bother and stick with the rhino/hunter method. hands down the most challenging test within the game, but even with extra health, being fireproof, and being mildly decent at the series, I still wouldn’t recommend
Best trick to finish- 1 add 3 people in your gang 2 try to start mission which remains inside Los Santos 3 When you will start firing your gang will also start firing on them so there are less chances of your vehicle getting blast
I’ve had it with this side mission. I’m using the Bike method in Angel Pine and it’s completely based on luck. I’ve got to wave 11/12 countless times before being bashed off my bike from behind and ending up Busted/Wasted before I can even get to my feet. I’ve been bashed into the water by oncoming traffic and not able to recover a police vehicle in time. omg you and me both....I'm doing all the side stuff at the start of the game. I've got the ambulance, taxi, firefighter and food market delivery missions pretty easily but now I'm stuck on this....police bribes, body armor, running into a shop to drink soda to get my health up, frantically ditching a vehicle once it catches fire which inevitably happens every wave the deeper you get in....ironically I end up having to kill cops in the hope that more will show up in time so I can actually get a new car or bike! I've gotten to Level 11 and ALWAYS one of the following occur: some fucker rams me off the road into the sea or jams me between two cars that are either burning or give a cop enough time to pull me out/arrest me; a bunch of Ballas waste me; a car blows up as I'm driving past it from what seems a safe distance but manages to take me out as well; time runs out; no more targets show up on the map or the game just packs in.....the transfer to next gen isn't iron-clad at all...same glitches that bring me right back to 2004

@@CymroMatt92 I tried something like that but in one of the towns in Red County.....what happens there though is that after a couple of waves, targets spawn in Las Venturas and like I said, I'm doing this at the very beginning of the game so LV is closed off....that's another thing I didn't mention but I didn't think of Ammunation until you mentioned it, that might be the tonic I need so thanks! I'm glad you're over it now!

If anyone wondering, for hunter if you want to make a little money try to get 5 stars so it doesn’t glitch out to only lvl18-21 cause for me it stopped there, but when I got a higher wanted level before starting I got up to vigilante level 189 with enough money that I don’t know what to do with it.
Beat this yesterday in a couple tries. I used the bike method in los santos right after the Doberman missions, so I could grab the mp5. Got my MP5 to hit man level. Than grabbed the police bike and did the missions. Everytime I got 3 stars I’d head to a bingo or safe house and change my shirt and it would get rid of the stars with 30 seconds left to get on the bike. And also keeping a safe distance back. In all honesty it’s not as hard as people crack it up to be. Hope that helps someone.
Good, i hope this garbage burns in hell and never makes its way into another GTA game, it is horrendously awful thanks to the horribly aggressive AI of every npc around you, its literal dogshit.
A tip that i found very useful is to use the hpv-1000 and an smg If the wanted level reaches 3 stars then get to the nearest barber or clothing store and buy smth. Then just follow the criminals until the wanted stars go away. After the stars go away, start blasting from behind I noticed that with 1 star, the police barely try to chase you With 2 stars, police cars and bikes will chase you With 3 stars, if not moving quickly, no heli will chase u and only police cars will chase you. When stationary, the heli chases you With 4 stars, fib vehicles and swat vans chase you and start to put up roadblocks
You can place backpack bombs up the road to where they’re driving. Also, importantly since time usually isn’t nearly as much of an issue as the wanted level is, it makes sense to change clothes/pay n spray another vehicle/ride to a 'bribe star'. Getting your health back up is also sometimes helpful and doable.

For those who have a hard time on this i just finished this mission in san fierro where i did tried it many times and the best method i came up with is. Keep killing the vigilante without getting arrested by the cop until level 9 or 10. By then you mostly have 10 min to let the vigilante to roam arround the city and you need to find those star badges where it reduces the star level on you. Which i did found 5 max and i just needed 4 star for it, it will take 2 min or 3 for you to collect them sinces those cops are going to be in your ass but if you collected it you are clear and you can continue the mission without the cops. Yes you will get a star again but it will not be that bad since you are close to ending it. My english is not good so please im sorry if i have some wrong grammars
A few extra tips if your using a police car or bike for vigilante mission Its best to have a map of all of the pickups that lower your wanted levels. These will be helpful to reduce the amount of cops chasing you. As they can be frustrating to deal with at level 2 and higher. Just remember each pickup take a while to respawn. Also while you do need to get back Into a police vehicle under a minute til you fail the vigilante mission you do have just enough time to slip into a ammunation or a restaurant to get restock body armor and heal up. Just make sure you have enough time stack up on the main time limit and not take too long in each building. It's also best to wait till the entire map is unlocked to do this. While the target may tend to stay in your general area most of the time they can still spawn in the locked parts of the map if each following targets drags you close enough. It's still doable early in the game but an unlucky spawn can ruin the run.
I tried the police bike in Angel Pines and for some reason, I encountered a bug where the criminals won't spawn and the time freezes. I used the Rhino tank around Bone County/Las Venturas and completed this objective with ease. Thanks for the guide
Doing this at the very beginning (I can pass the taxi, ambulance, firefighter and food delivery mission with ease) . But with the vigilante mission, at best I’ve gotten to level 11 through a combo of police bribes, switching vehicle as soon as smoke appears (they inevitably catch fire), running into shops for soda to fill the health bar and body armors....if I don't get blown up, I get busted or time runs out...it's so frustrating! Some things never change - 2004 all over again lol
Use the Hunter (get it from the Heli Heli race and fly it to your hangar to store it and let the race fail). And only use the Minigun, you will only get 1 Star so you won't have to deal with police helicopters bumping into you or Jets firing rockets. Also, using your Rockets can easily bug a Level because you might be too far and enemies inside exploding cars sometimes don't register immediately, so if you are too far away they might just despawn blocking the next Level.
Tips: - Have minigun ready - use motorbike - Do it on Las Venturas, because they have wide road space, also lots of barber and clothing shop to loose the heat
I got all gold in "Learning to fly" and unlock the hunter helicopter and the vigilante mission got so easy I made it to level 24 which is double of what was needed to get the 🏆
❗️How to get a hunter❗️, go to las venturas airport at the race flag icon, start the mission heli heli (ignore the red circles) fly back to the airport where you started heli heli, get out of the hunter and wait 30 seconds to fail the mission, quit the race. Now you have a hunter and you can start vigilante. And after that i stored the hunter at you're own airstrip in the dessert
What about dealing with the wanted level during vigilante ? As none of police vehicles can be spray painted. GTA Vice City had a police cheetah which can be spray painted.
Easiest way I found was to use ur wang car garage for the pay n spray every few rounds to remove ur wanted level, also a limo spawning right there so u don’t have to worry finding a car
Always hated these missions. Paramedic is so mundane, fire fighter is long winded, vigilante is really difficult when you are trying to kill 4 cars of criminals with AKs and 4 star wanted level whilst trying not to be blown up or die on a 2 minute timer, taxi driver is always boring as…
Most of the time, these fools didn't even spawn in! Got super mad as I'd get up to level 10 or 11. But after many hours I got it! My advice is that if you are still on the first map, use the bike. Have at least 1,000 smg ammo. Use RPGs if possible. Probably want at minimum 50. There is a building NE of the maze bank you can parachute to with a RPG spawning ontop of the building. Good luck!
i love the "Definitive Edition" especially when using any vehicle. using a tank, get to level 12, last car to blow up, my seeming fine tank just spontaneously catches fire, blows up, and i get gunned down by cops. best remaster ever
There is a really easy way which people do not know. Just get the tank from area 69, I completed it in under 5 minutes, I didn't even have to worry about time.
Tried the bike in Angel Pine twice; got to about 5 but just end up blowing up Switched to the Rhino, whilst not the most realistic thing in the world it's certainly the most effective 😂
I hate vigilante mission because its so hard I kept dying for like 2 hours I was about to give up then I decided to get minigun and I said I will do it one last time and I finally finished this mission it was so hard
also every time you load back a save, the mission will play out differently. yesterday i tried it on a police bike 3 times and failed, this morning i woke up and completed all 12 levels in the first go. i started in san fierro and since i remember where all the police bribes are it made it so much easier. finished it with only a 1 star wanted level 😂

Easiest way for this is to use a rhino tank you can steal one in area 69 then you get wanted level for that you go to the nearest safehouse park the tank there and save the game after that you can do vigilante mission without getting the tank wrecked its damage proof btw
It used to not be so god damn difficult, but the new shit on the fact of edition w Criminals that seem to survive underneath the car where every other criminal was blown up.. glitches that happen while you’re trying to do the job of the cops and they will not leave you alone.. Falling through the map.. ring my police bike randomly disappear,. NPC cars latching on to the back of the enemy car preventing me from shooting it in the ass getting another one level.. Or and this one’s my favorite, Having vigilante just stop working all together when you’re at 11?????
What the f**k is going on with the vigilante missions on the san andreas definitive edition? When I kill the targets, it will say "threat eliminated," but then it doesn't even go to the next level, and no more targets appear on the map. It's so annoying, and I've retried it several times. I don't know what to do, as I pretty much can't complete vigilante missions as it just glitches every time.
@@bingsinatra5283 Thanks for this. Not long after I commented, I managed to find a solution. It was to do with the graphics settings. I think I switched from fidelity mode to performance mode, or may have been the other way around, but that fixed it.

Rhino is pretty damn easy just a little slow and have to be careful reversing or not to get it stuck and wedged between something because cops will climb up on it and bust you. Almost happened to me.
I did this in the first area and when I got the chance I go to the pizza place with pay and spray since you have a minute to get back on your bike I use the free car there to spray and lose cops get back on the bike go inside to heal then go back to cjs house and repair the bike just make sure you have plenty of time before doing it
Are you doing the San Fierro stadium activity? It was crashing every time I saved after doing it. It works for me now but idk if they fixed it or if I got lucky

this side mission makes you wonder if 50 percent extra armor is truly worth it...or completing the game 100 percent
You probably would be better off doing the 12 levels for paramedic since it majorly increases your health bar

When you have unlocked las venturas, a plane race in which you will use the hunter will provide you if you cancel the mission, very easy afterwards

A tip that i found very useful is to use the hpv-1000 and an smg
If the wanted level reaches 3 stars then get to the nearest barber or clothing store and buy smth.
Then just follow the criminals until the wanted stars go away.
After the stars go away, start blasting from behind
I noticed that with 1 star, the police barely try to chase you
With 2 stars, police cars and bikes will chase you
With 3 stars, if not moving quickly, no heli will chase u and only police cars will chase you. When stationary, the heli chases you
With 4 stars, fib vehicles and swat vans chase you and start to put up roadblocks
You can place backpack bombs up the road to where they’re driving.
Also, importantly since time usually isn’t nearly as much of an issue as the wanted level is, it makes sense to change clothes/pay n spray another vehicle/ride to a 'bribe star'.
Getting your health back up is also sometimes helpful and doable.

Really easy on the bike with the smg
I always use the Hunter strategy, it's sooo easy. All i have to do is get gold on all lessons in Flight School, and there you go, i got a hunter.
Completed this in one try. All you need is the minigun and once you get close enough, get out the car and bam and you’re done
For those who have a hard time on this i just finished this mission in san fierro where i did tried it many times and the best method i came up with is. Keep killing the vigilante without getting arrested by the cop until level 9 or 10. By then you mostly have 10 min to let the vigilante to roam arround the city and you need to find those star badges where it reduces the star level on you. Which i did found 5 max and i just needed 4 star for it, it will take 2 min or 3 for you to collect them sinces those cops are going to be in your ass but if you collected it you are clear and you can continue the mission without the cops. Yes you will get a star again but it will not be that bad since you are close to ending it. My english is not good so please im sorry if i have some wrong grammars
A few extra tips if your using a police car or bike for vigilante mission
Its best to have a map of all of the pickups that lower your wanted levels. These will be helpful to reduce the amount of cops chasing you. As they can be frustrating to deal with at level 2 and higher. Just remember each pickup take a while to respawn.
Also while you do need to get back Into a police vehicle under a minute til you fail the vigilante mission you do have just enough time to slip into a ammunation or a restaurant to get restock body armor and heal up. Just make sure you have enough time stack up on the main time limit and not take too long in each building.
It's also best to wait till the entire map is unlocked to do this. While the target may tend to stay in your general area most of the time they can still spawn in the locked parts of the map if each following targets drags you close enough. It's still doable early in the game but an unlucky spawn can ruin the run.

I tried the police bike in Angel Pines and for some reason, I encountered a bug where the criminals won't spawn and the time freezes.
I used the Rhino tank around Bone County/Las Venturas and completed this objective with ease. Thanks for the guide

I hate mission in GTA:SA. When you reach level 3-4 you will have 2 wanted stars and completing this mission become just impossible. So,use Hinter.
I did this using a police bike and a minigun. Every couple of levels I went to pick up those bribe stars to reduce the wanted level.

Doing this at the very beginning (I can pass the taxi, ambulance, firefighter and food delivery mission with ease) . But with the vigilante mission, at best I’ve gotten to level 11 through a combo of police bribes, switching vehicle as soon as smoke appears (they inevitably catch fire), running into shops for soda to fill the health bar and body armors....if I don't get blown up, I get busted or time runs out...it's so frustrating! Some things never change - 2004 all over again lol

I did all of Vigilante with a Rhino. Easy. Now I have max armor.
Never have I wanted a refund on a game before until I tried these vigilante missions. This games so broken its almost unplayable
Use the Hunter (get it from the Heli Heli race and fly it to your hangar to store it and let the race fail).
And only use the Minigun, you will only get 1 Star so you won't have to deal with police helicopters bumping into you or Jets firing rockets.
Also, using your Rockets can easily bug a Level because you might be too far and enemies inside exploding cars sometimes don't register immediately, so if you are too far away they might just despawn blocking the next Level.

When enemies will shoot you with shotgun, you are just dead meat. Just 2-3 shots are taken to knock you down. How eill you escape that?
Its so challenging cause police car or bike blasts fastly and it literally becomes a challenge to find another vehicle within 1 minute
Tips:
- Have minigun ready
- use motorbike
- Do it on Las Venturas, because they have wide road space, also lots of barber and clothing shop to loose the heat
This is how I did my Missions 3:33
I got all gold in "Learning to fly" and unlock the hunter helicopter and the vigilante mission got so easy I made it to level 24 which is double of what was needed to get the 🏆
Trophy is glitched, the timer keeps getting stuck and shows no suspects on the map

If your in the desert of completed the game break into area 51 and steal the tank and do it i had 6 stars and still did it

❗️How to get a hunter❗️, go to las venturas airport at the race flag icon, start the mission heli heli (ignore the red circles) fly back to the airport where you started heli heli, get out of the hunter and wait 30 seconds to fail the mission, quit the race. Now you have a hunter and you can start vigilante. And after that i stored the hunter at you're own airstrip in the dessert

While using a tank, avoid flames that can be destroyed in any seconds

What about dealing with the wanted level during vigilante ?
As none of police vehicles can be spray painted.
GTA Vice City had a police cheetah which can be spray painted.
You obviously need to find a nearby car and spray it just to lose your wanted level.
After that, enter the police car to proceed the mission
im tryin rn the angel pine + bike method rn on ps4, lvl 8 to 9 and after I've eliminated the two cars now nothings spawns anymore ffs

Easiest way I found was to use ur wang car garage for the pay n spray every few rounds to remove ur wanted level, also a limo spawning right there so u don’t have to worry finding a car

Always hated these missions. Paramedic is so mundane, fire fighter is long winded, vigilante is really difficult when you are trying to kill 4 cars of criminals with AKs and 4 star wanted level whilst trying not to be blown up or die on a 2 minute timer, taxi driver is always boring as…
Most of the time, these fools didn't even spawn in! Got super mad as I'd get up to level 10 or 11. But after many hours I got it! My advice is that if you are still on the first map, use the bike. Have at least 1,000 smg ammo. Use RPGs if possible. Probably want at minimum 50. There is a building NE of the maze bank you can parachute to with a RPG spawning ontop of the building. Good luck!
i love the "Definitive Edition" especially when using any vehicle. using a tank, get to level 12, last car to blow up, my seeming fine tank just spontaneously catches fire, blows up, and i get gunned down by cops. best remaster ever
There is a really easy way which people do not know. Just get the tank from area 69, I completed it in under 5 minutes, I didn't even have to worry about time.
Tried the bike in Angel Pine twice; got to about 5 but just end up blowing up
Switched to the Rhino, whilst not the most realistic thing in the world it's certainly the most effective 😂

I hate vigilante mission because its so hard I kept dying for like 2 hours I was about to give up then I decided to get minigun and I said I will do it one last time and I finally finished this mission it was so hard

Did the Taxi, Ambulance and firefighter missions at the very start, now stuck on this...don’t have access to grenade launcher, mini gun, rhino etc.
also every time you load back a save, the mission will play out differently. yesterday i tried it on a police bike 3 times and failed, this morning i woke up and completed all 12 levels in the first go. i started in san fierro and since i remember where all the police bribes are it made it so much easier. finished it with only a 1 star wanted level 😂

the idea is probably to do it later in the game when your skill level is higher - I'm doing it at the very start and it's bordering on impossible...got to Level 11 but something in the game always fucks me over

Easiest way for this is to use a rhino tank you can steal one in area 69 then you get wanted level for that you go to the nearest safehouse park the tank there and save the game after that you can do vigilante mission without getting the tank wrecked its damage proof btw

It used to not be so god damn difficult, but the new shit on the fact of edition w Criminals that seem to survive underneath the car where every other criminal was blown up.. glitches that happen while you’re trying to do the job of the cops and they will not leave you alone..

What the f**k is going on with the vigilante missions on the san andreas definitive edition? When I kill the targets, it will say "threat eliminated," but then it doesn't even go to the next level, and no more targets appear on the map. It's so annoying, and I've retried it several times. I don't know what to do, as I pretty much can't complete vigilante missions as it just glitches every time.
I had the same problem at level 8. I made a manual game save, closed the application, rebooted the game and got it. Give it a try.
@@bingsinatra5283 Thanks for this. Not long after I commented, I managed to find a solution. It was to do with the graphics settings. I think I switched from fidelity mode to performance mode, or may have been the other way around, but that fixed it.
@@Adam-qf8ps It's a terrible port/remaster. CJ can't swim underwater (I got round that with the rpg from the airport), enemy fire seems to cause much more damage and what is that black stuff all over the streets?... it looks like empty refuse bags.

If Rockstar had taken on the project themselves, investing time and effort into fully remaking the games, they could have added features like swimming, more weapons, music, clothing, vehicles, tattoos, and pedestrians across GTA III and Vice City. They could have integrated mechanics from San Andreas-gyms, food, flying planes-while updating the engine to match GTA V's physics and gameplay, creating a modern experience without the original flaws.
Instead, what we got was an uninspired, amateur effort, missing the opportunity for true masterpieces.
@@Adam-qf8ps If Grove St Games had ported it from the PS3 disc version it would've been good, The Defintive Edition games were ported from mobile games. Grove St Games were closed down by Rockstar as a result.
Rhino is pretty damn easy just a little slow and have to be careful reversing or not to get it stuck and wedged between something because cops will climb up on it and bust you. Almost happened to me.
I did this in the first area and when I got the chance I go to the pizza place with pay and spray since you have a minute to get back on your bike I use the free car there to spray and lose cops get back on the bike go inside to heal then go back to cjs house and repair the bike just make sure you have plenty of time before doing it
Ive been to lv 11 on ps5 and GODDAMN the Swat teams destroyed the bike 😤 and the Hunter despawned the criminals . Defective ediition
In original version of sa I got to level 22(174 criminals killed)
Never stand still with the tank or you will get busted just keep driving in circels if you want a suspect to pass you

How are you playing San Andreas remastered? It's literally broken right now. It crashes when you click the resume button.
If you’re on ps4 try making a new save and go into that new save and then reload your original save that’s what i did and it worked :)

In vice city most easy vigilante is with hunter, i reach level 200 than cancel, a lot of cash and criminal rank.
